    They redesigned the cover. We sell a LOT of these covers and have never had a single issue. Good video review of the first generation of these though!

    I bought a lomax for my tundra after seeing your install video. I had to wait a few months as they were not making them just yet for my truck. I had a Bak roll-x that was falling apart after having it on my truck five years. It was leaking bad, always did slightly from day one, seams/seals that had come apart and I had fixed them numerous times so I was done with it, especially after contacting them about the issues and getting no response/help with it. I absolutely love the lomax so far, no issues, like the one on CO2, mine stays closed most of the time and when I do open it up I don’t rush it. For the price point and construction of it, I don’t believe there is a better cover out there.

    I got an old Fold-a-Cover for 12 years on my old truck, it stayed waterproof ten years and then I order the seals for 50$ to replace them all and give it a new life. Can support 450 pounds and I've walk on it numerous time without problems or permanent bowing. I can acces both end and without the tailgate open. Now on their new G4 elite on my 18 truck and like it even better.

    Thanks for video, too bad it's not for me. I did hear the rubbing before the lift when you heard it. If you have or haven't already, your idea of mounting a felt pad is a good one. Only be sure to oversize the pad a little so it can slide under a bit before it lands on the surface.

    I've had mine on my 2017 F150 since December of 2017. Zero problems. No rips in the seams. It's water tight. Have taken lid completely off twice. Open and close it on a regular basis. Just got a brand new 2020 F150. I'm about to move the cover to my new truck. My only real issue is I think it scratches fairly easily. Be careful about putting bags and whatnot on top and sliding them off. I've read the riot act to my family so they are careful. Another small thing is that because it's all metal, it gets really hot in the Texas sun. Can be a little tough to touch when opening.

      @@markjohnson6971 Thanks for the reply. That's really good to hear. I got the soft roll up and its lasted me since 2015 but its time for a new cover. I didn't want to spend more money on a better one just for it to leak in a year.

      @@markjohnson6971 that is great to hear, I'm really considering one of these for my Tacoma. How would you rate the security of this? • @FrostyAMG
    @FrostyAMG 5 лет назад

    Comments on the vinyl edges peeling and the rub marks from the folding are not related to the product, that is related to a modification that was performed (choosing to have it wrapped). SO to get to the point, the only issue identified was a seal failure.

    • @gravitygear
      @gravitygear 6 лет назад +3

      Since the Peragon collapses into the bed instead of flipping up, you cannot keep stuff towards the front of the bed. Peragon is great if you don't ever fill your bed, or if you just put short stuff in your bed. If you put anything tall, you can't open it. You'll have to open the tailgate and pull everything out and crawl under the cover and move the stuff towards the front. Peragon is a flawed design. I was really considering the Peragon, but I thought about this, did some research and yes, it is an issue. It's actually a huge issue.

    • @jcml6800
      @jcml6800 6 лет назад

      Custom Offsets Its really leaky and for some reason mine doesn’t sit as flush as yours do, it’s a little raised. Plus it’s kinda unwieldy when you take whole thing off. My friends and Dad all said “hey when you need the whole bed just take it off” but found out it ain’t that easy on a lifted truck. Had the shop I bought it from do the install so I don’t know if they made a mistake with the install and maybe that’s the reason it doesn’t sit as flush.

    • @ericstreur2594
      @ericstreur2594 6 лет назад

      JCML I think of you adjust your side rails so they sit a bit lower on your bed rails, you’ll notice that the cover will sit more flush and seal out the water better.
