Video on Vishwanathan Anand
Who's here after Nepo goes through 🤩
Given this is April 1st, I thought Simon would do Ben Finegold's 5 Most Brilliant Moves and just show Ben's blunders from online games.
That would be a terrific idea, I'm disappointed this hasn't happened now.
@@ippimerawr true
and now nepo is winning the candidates, incredible stuff
he won
And now he's losing the WC 😅 Unfortunately bc I'm a fan.
:(
And now, Maybe he will win candidates again
again
Can you do Simon Williams' best moves?
You need 5 to make a video :D
@@Richard_Buurstra I'm sure 5 is quite minimal for a player as capable as he is.
@@Midnightwards666 i was joking
It went whooshing past him. An excellent joke wasted. :-)
He clearly has no 5 best moves.
He‘s made it through
You won the bet !
Officially the world chess championship challenger
Show the anand top5 move
I encourage you to do a Simon William‘s best moves!! I would love it!! (Happy April fools!)
10:15 damn how'd you know?
Anybody watching after Nepo won candidates?
anyone who sees your comment is watching after Nepo won the candidate...
Can you do Wesley So's top moves!
I think it's hard, Wesley moves are so unconventional, winning even from unpopular openings, making it hard to spot which move really triggers brilliancy...
I just watched about 2 games of wesley though.. hehehe
@@mohammadyassersabtal6501 that's what makes Wesley one of my favorite players. It seems like his way of thinking goes against the grain of just about every other player in history and he has such an off-kilter style yet is still just as strong as everyone in the world besides Magnus and Fabi
Yeah Wesley Deserves a spot, pick some games from his peak years where he reached 2822 Elo
@@nethbt yeah I miss that guy
He was brilliant
2:35 omg he predicted the future !!
Nepo won and will be facing Magnus.
10:14 😱
Anand's, Petrosian's, Aronian's and Lasker's best moves. Pleaseee
Hayk Sahakyan petrosian would be a great video
@@minigooshey Yep. One of the strongest tactical masters, tough it wasn't his style.
The thing is, Anand already did an interview where they wnt through his 9 or 10 best moves/games, so we've seen them before. And Petrosian has a few pretty games but a lot of his best moves otherwise are his patented exchange sacrifices and prophylactic moves that the majority of this channel's audience wont appreciate.
@@joedorben3504 You're completely missing the point. It's more about entertainment. A video could easily be done on 5 top/exciting moves from the player. It doesn't literally have to be the moves the player has said nor does it have to be the best. It's more like 5 entertaining moves that make a great RUclips video.
Wow all of them are some of my most favorite players
Id add Mamedyarov
Thanks a lot for those videos ! Now waiting for MVL best 5 moves ! Hope to meet you one day.
Can't quite believe the beauty of this video. Wonderful job, dear Simon! Cheers from Argentina
Why didn’t you show the name of the players Nepo played against in these games ?
I agree. It also helps in retrieving the games and replay those masterpieces.
It would be too embarrassing
Yes!
@@khupmung7600 i think i would be honored to lose in such fashion to such a brilliant player
Great commentaries as always! Keep it up, Simon!
Thank you Simon! Also the game against Kasparov is interesting, where Nepo' s move just shocked Kasparov...
Thank You, this demonstration was lot of fun! :)
Ian won the candidates! You called it! 😁
These are amazing thanks!
Another great vid in this great series
I loved this series please do not stop doing this
You came thru with your promise! Thank you!
The final game was against Lichao back in February 2017
Nepomniachtchi, Ian (2749) 1-0 Li, Chao (2720) Sharjah FIDE Grand Prix
it shows how deep you know chess and chess players. thanks for all your magnifique videos.
great video. can you do your best moves, Simon? I'd love to see yours.
Awesome videos Simon - guessed 2/20 so far across the lot I've seen (am total crap, but super interesting nonetheless)
5:50 Terry Miles the boogie-woogie knight :D
can we have top five danny rench moves?
I love this series. Simon can be a bit much, I know :), and yeah the flashy style is not for everyone but it's in any case a neat way to get to know these players a little bit and appreciate great tactical combinations.
I really wish you would indicate which games these moves were from (or even who the opponents were!) so we could look them up...
i love you! + Nepo.... & the channel !
Wow. Great prediction!!!!
Simon 100% called it ahead of time. I wonder what his prediction will be for Nepo v Magnus.
Yes he can, and it’s gonna happen tomorrow! Davai Nepo 💪🏻
Is it possible to post either pgn or details on the matches wherein the moves were taken from?
That’s the kinda compensation I like. I like to be a pawn up, with the compensation!!
10:15 We did heard it first ...congrats on the guess ;)
Of chess, it has been said that life is not long enough for it, but that is the fault of life, not chess.
well said
@TheGuy WhoPlaysChess thanks
commenting every chess stream just to pick new users is lame.
@@emregeylani why?
Yeah, it would be fun to see Nepo play Magnus for the title. I believe Magnus would win (of course) but that the match would be more exciting than the matches vs Caruana and Karjakin.
U have gotten wat uve wished for
You got what you wished for
The new winner of FIDE candidates. I wish that he win Magnus. It´s time for a new champion of the word
I am big fan of nepo.... i like his moves... from INDIA🇮🇳 (kerala)
@@Kai20123 who is first?? Anand??
Njanum
@@dastran2731 👌✌️
@@Connaruto anandinte oru kidilan game para.
Man love your videos!!! Just want to ask in the first exercise what if Bxh4. (Black to play)
Bxh4, Rxh4, Qxh4, Nxh4, Bxd1
I'll just play Qd3+ if you take h4 pawn with your bishop, then I'll take the bishop on next move
After Qxh4, white has Qd3+ then takes queen with Nxh4
Simon names his pawns😍😍
Please do one on Korchnoi!

NEPO THE NEXT CHALLENGER
You spelled MVL wrong!
@@amadis8892 dont underestimate the power of the russians, if nepo didnt manage to stop that french, then grischuk will take him down
Ya but Magnus will easily beat him
Joe Dorben Isnt nepo the only one among the candidates that has a positive win to lose ratio against magnus in classical games?
@@jawcopter Im pretty sure most or all of his wins were when they were kids, and come on now, I think we all know Magnus wouldnt lose his WC title to any of the current elite players, Firouzna is the only one who has a chance of taking it from him anytime in the next 10-15 years
Nepo is a beast. He also has a winning record against carlsen. He's got a good chance
you're right, unfortunately he lost. I was rooting for Carlsen anyways, but still I like Nepo for his good play.
And you said it 2 years back, and for 2 years now Nepo has been winning the candidates. Amazing prediction Simon!
Magical is your beard, oh my😍
He actually went through.
Sir please make on Mikhail Tal 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I think you should only show the top 5 moves of chess players that passed away or of ones that are not active anymore, because the others can add any move into these videos at any moment
he predicted that
Rook e8 was same principle in rashids game as well
we heard here first!
Nepo the challenger
now this is brilliant
At 8:56 We don't even need to play Re8 as Nxh6 is already checkmate
at 01:48, I wonder if Kg6 is worth a try? I know it's crazy and probably flawed, but worth considering for a moment.
GM Simon 'slide along the board' Williams
Please make a video of your own top moves🙏🙏😇
i've heard it here first! Go Nepo!
Nepo is my fav player currently
I was hoping he would have explained more possibilities for someone like me who’s not very good at visualising so far ahead. Say at 4:33, what happens if the black knight takes the rook instead of the queen? The white bishop will take the black bishop and after the black rook just moves aside, isn’t that still equal for both?
Viswanathan Anands top 5 moves
Mikhail Tal 5 best moves plz !
HE KNEW
Ooh how the turntables have... turned
You were right.
5:02 "I'm now going to show you a case of Nepo's F the LICK KNIGHTS."
Can you do Vishy Anand's top 5???
we need top 5 great moves of tal
i feel like there are too many to choose from
Sir what's your best moves
Do Daniil Dubov's
Simon doesn't need a girlfriend. He has Harry. Harry will always be there for him in a difficult moment.
you called it
damn you were not lying Nepo vs world champion ❤️
You heard it here first, Simon called it
should have taken your betting advice. Good call.
Please do Rasputin's best moves
got it right wow
Who's here after nepo won the candidates?
6:04 D7 knight: take me and you lose, so you can’t even touch me, or else you get poison for your king or queen
I have a feeling and strongly believe so that players in the past like mikhial tal and rashmudiinov ( i dunno how to spell his name sorry) sacrificed their queens to destroy the kings protection and analyse moves ahead what their opponent would play and go on to slaughter their king.... These days mostly players sacrifice the queen to get more pieces with forks, discovered checks etc
Not yet!
Here after Nepo won the candidates. See you in November.
I think you called it Simon
6:39 pin game
It would be nice if you could mention the name of the opponents.
He already will face Magnus 😁
You predicted the future, this is the second time Nepo wins the candidates
Excellent tactics! Thx for sharing this!
Plz 5 best move of vishy Anand Mr Daniel king
GM Simon is one of my favorite vikings
Show the Anand and Grischuk
just stay at home and enjoy the amazing moves.
Saw nº2, nº4 but nº5 was the one I got most right :D
If he trains his mental stamina and psychological steadiness, who can call up Carlsen as a big boy, no doubts.
Carlsen is stupid
