@Dillon Milo yeah no we really don't give a damn about your copypasta
*Tal accidentally blunder his queen
His opponent resigns
lol
If it was on purpose it wouldn't be a blunder tho
@@lukahj right, but sometimes GM can miscalculate too
@@ademaupsilon true, but that's just a "blunder"
@@lukahj He said "tal accidentally blunder" that's what he mean. lol
Imagine having so many good queen sacrifices to be able to have a top 5.
I know right? It's not as if he's playing obvious queen sacs, like giving up the queen for an immediate forced mate in 3 or a simple combo trading the queen for a rook and two pieces. We all have plenty of those. But complicated queen sacs like these ones from Tal are once, maybe twice, in a lifetime for the rest of us, including most GMs, and Tal has enough for a top 5. Incredible!
@@crazypomp927 well said!
@Mark Pompeo and he was a world champion...we can understand this from a flair player who plays good sometimes and bad other times..but Tal was a world champion and had a lot of success in his career.. To consistently get results of the highest order playing such a style..I mean..wow..
Exactly
Yaaa I was imagining that only
*Tal talking to his pieces* : bishops ready? - yeah, knights ready? - yeah, rooks? - yeah, *OK QUEEN YOU HAVE TO GO*
He has to go blud
@@abutahirputhedath8841 😆😁👍
Tal: Let's take this with my queen.
Tal: WAIT! That was a blunder, I didn't see his rook on c8
Opponent: *resigns immediately*
Tal: Wait what?
i am a simple man i see mikhail tal i click
What's amazing about his sacrifices is that there is no immediate tactic with 2-3 moves resulting in a checkmate but rather a sequence of a wild attack and overall complication of a position for his opponnent. That what seperates him from everybody else. His ideas were abstract and beautiful.
"How many arrows can I draw here?" That was classic.
So happy to see James Canty 3 doing more of these Top 5 videos! He really deserved it ❤️
Thanks buddy! Appreciate you. 💯🔥😎
1st queen sacrifice: Tal noticed that the opponent has a lot of undeveloped pieces, the opponent queen is barely recognized, and he does have a promoting pawn. So he decides to trade his queen for an important defender and moves on to crush the opponent with his active pieces.
The most beautiful move is the king sacrifice
Many GMs tried their hands at famous Plaskett's puzzle but failed. Even upto few years back, Stockfish failed to solve the puzzle. And the only player to ever solve it correctly was none other than Mikhail Tal. There is error in original puzzle made by composer though but still nobody could reach that point which only he could do.
7:09 Why did bro not mate with a bishop Promotion haha
B1=B# would’ve been so clean😂
"This is a family channel" LMAO
You play against Tal. Then he sacrifices his Queen. Now you are sure. The wheel is turning, but the hamster is dead...
Was this a quote, or were you the one who came up with this? Brilliant stuff.
If we had Mikhail Tal, we had like! 🇧🇷
AND GM MIGUEL NAJDORF WAS SO EXICTED ABOUT THE POSITION ACTUALLY HE WAS PART OF THE AUDIENCE AND HE JUST HOGGED MIKHAIL TAL AND KISSED HIM
Sup NM James Canty III, you're the best bro
Im gonna subscribe because of him
Let’s gooooo 💯🔥😎
The cutest NM again ^_^
🤣🤣🤣🤣😎💯🔥
How to beat Tal at a chess game
JUST DONT TAKE HES DAMN QUEENS🤷♂
When 50 cents stops rapping and start teaching chess ?
This video should be done by @simonwillams
if mikhail tal and i were to play a game im pretty sure id take him down.
Tal could never be a bodyguard. He'd sac the King, defying the rules.
This is my favorite comment😂😂
@@bobrodneys6694 thx lol
There are two types of sacrifice: correct one and mine -MIKHAIL TAL❣️
mine usually ends with a resignment from me lol
It's sound one and mine.
🤣
*This is a family channel*
Lmao
🤣🤣🤣
?
@@LeventK 2:50
Tal: sacrifice queen
Opponent: resign without hesitation..
The funny thing is: sometimes he would purposefully blunder a piece at timed games to throw off his opponnent and make him lose time
Lol i do that sometimes as well, opponents be so skeptical
RESIGNATION
NO HESITATION
I really like NM Canty’s presenting style. I’d like to see what he can do in live commentary.
Thanks bro it’s coming! 💯🔥💯
I like it how you dramatized Tal before taking the sacrifice hehe
Ohh damn bruh he is worst one i have ever seen
I just came in comment section to ask chess. Com to replace him asap
@@sassy2712 Why? What do you want from a commentator that Canty doesn’t bring?
"This is a family channel. Let's get this off the screen already." LOL! Love it! :)
🤣💯🔥😎
2:22 "Mate on the move, have a nice day" I love this guy
🤣 thanks a lot! 💯🔥😎
🤣
James Canty III:what do you do in this position?
Me: frantically searches for a way to get my queen captured
If tal give you his queen for minor piece it means opponent will resign soon 😂😂
Put my king in check first
7:07
It would be cooler if you promoted to a bishop
omg yes that is beautifffffulll
Boden's mate
@@bledathehun328 i'm sorry but i'm new at chess. So what if it's considered boden's mate?
@@shaheedlee5009 I think he meant bad manners
@@shaheedlee50092 bishops checkmating the king
When Tal sacrifices his queen, you resign
@@doubledie6875 you still resign 😂
Every other chess grandmaster sacrifices queen to mate their opponents
Mikhail tal sacrifices his queen to destroy his opponents
Truueee - most GM queen sacs have very concrete compensation, either mate or a ton of material (rook + minor pieces). The first three games here involved extremely dominant passed pawns, and okay that's somewhat concrete although you still have to calculate so much to see it. The latter two games here are especially amazing to me, because the only real compensation in them is an extremely harmonious attack.
The movie made on biopic of Bobby Fischer is "Pawn Sacrifice"
If the movie is made on biopic of Mikhail Tal, it will be named "Queen Sacrifice"😄
What a legend he was🔥
Another one might be magician from Riga.
There is one documentary called "Queen sacrifice" and its about Tal
No piece left to sac...😎
@@acamoravac bro link please
Well there is a series called the queen's gambit. I know I am just playing with the words a bit.
Tal: I am going to Sacrifice my Queen.
Opponent: I am going to resign.
The Queen's Gambit Netfilx : When opponent takes your queen, you resign.
Meanwhile in Tal's case : When opponent takes his queen, opponent resigns.
Studying Tal's games is always a pleasure. Wonderful 5 games! Definetely one of the greatest of all time.
13:52 imagine if Tal actually said that to his apponent
"Hey! Queens back appriciate it bro!"
You have to take your opponent into a deep forest where *2+2=5* and the path leading out is wide enough for one.
-Mikhail Tal
Alexander Koblentz: *Resigns 23 moves after queen sac*
What about a video with top 5 incorrect sacrifices? I am sure that there must be games when Tal lost, sacrificing his Queen etc
This is a great idea
Tal has enough games with incorrect sacrifices... and still winning the game.
Tal style.
Where's the gingerbeard?
Quite close though, James looks pretty red for some reason
other players: top 5 chess moves
tal: top 5 queen sacrifices :)
Tal was the necessary revival of romantic, attacking style chess. He brought a much needed resurgence of energy to a game that was otherwise going a bit stale. Before Tal, the predominant thought was that there was a right way to play and a wrong way to play, and sacrificing material simply to create complications and counterplay was considered the wrong way to play. That was the way that Mikhail Botvinnik and the entire Soviet School of Chess thought. But then along comes this crazy kid from Riga, who is sacrificing for the initiative and creating complications, and he not only destroys everyone, he plants himself firmly as the dominant player, even winning the World Chess Championship match of 1960. He single-handedly proved that the days of the swashbuckling playing style weren’t quite over.
In 2100:
*Watch Hikaru's top 5 premoves against some random noob*
This guy was Leela Chess before it was invented.
Holy shit Nihal Sarin looks so much like young Tal. Omg, is it just me?
I'm surprised you didn't mention Tal vs Kristinsson 1964, absolutely amazing game. But Tal really had too many queen sacrifices to narrow it down to just a top 5
where is the explosion ?
good game of The Magician of Riga, great commentary from James Canty, Thanks for upload this videos man.
Thanks buddy! 😎💯🔥
“People are watching, I don’t want any more of this”!!!! I’m dead...
I blundered my queen into a win once, probably the only time it will ever happen for me.
"Tal looked at him, grabbed his queen, and just took the knight..
and hit the clock... sat back really smooth...and the game was over."
Too funny man!
I was watching and didn’t realize it was mikhail tal’s queen sacrifices, I was like why is it the same guy?
Is this a family channel?? So much brutality against Queen.
James Canty : What would you do in Tal's position?
Me : 👁👄👁
Morphy and tal sacrificing queens like they were pawns damn
*Tal sacrifices queen by accident : brilliant
*Me sacrifices queen on purpose : blunder
This just doesn't deserve like it deserves love
i’ve never clicked on a video so fast
''you can win many games if you think inside Tal's box''
Magician?? This is SORCERY.
WHAT on earth have I just seen..
How come a Kasparov variation was played on 1960?
It wasn't called the kasparov variation then I guess
@@hughmongusfeline3452 well that's the problem , a player usually gives him name to a variation if he creates it , which is not the case here as this variation had already been played , I think the NM made a mistake it just wasn't a kasparov variation
Could have made a top 20.
I've tried this I sacrificed the queen on move 3 and lost in 12 moves
DOn't try this at home..!!🤣
Tal vs birbager actually ends in resignation after Bf4
The move bishop f5 for #3 was terribly explained, I can bet most players are still confused as to why his opponent wouldn't just move the queen
@2:36 Total Mindfuck 🤯 Too many threats on the board Lmao 😂 Smart to End it after ExF7
1:27 I'd sacrifice my queen cause that's what this video is based on.
Whenever I blunder my queen, which unfortunately is often, I often play better down many points and scrambling for survival. So maybe I'm Tal reincarnated. Just without the talent, of course.
you should post tal's video at least once a week :)
Mikhail Tal can see from miles he has big eyes
i like this commentator, and i like Tal, and this video.
In the third example. What if after the bishop to f5. He took the knight?
A picture of Tal should appear when you google who created Chess.
9:34 u missed a beautiful variation...if queen takes knight it leads to a checkmate..should have discussed that too
17:21 I would go for rook to F2..if he saves the queen then knight checkmates...if he gives back the queen the game will go on a delayed checkmate
Thanks tal. Haha
Sometimes I think that Tal is just Henry VIII reborn
The title isn't even "Mikhail Tal's 5 best moves"😂😂
Teachers waiting for the class to quite down be like 8:08
I actually got 4:34, not because I'm smart but because I was so dumb
In one of Tal's books he was talking about one of his sacrifices and I can't remember the moves exactly but he says something like 2after I played Q to D4 I couldn't see past B to E7... To most people that made no sense but in the book it shows the what happened. Bishop to E7 was 6 moves away... He calculated to 6 moves ahead. And it was in a 'Candidates' tournament...
He is my favourite player of all time. He once had to fly 1000 miles for a tournament but because it was a no smoking flight he took a 6000 mile round trip so he could be on airplanes that did allow smoking. Hahhahaha.
Tal was thinking several moves ahead of the opponent in a completely different way, he didn't care about what's the strongest piece and didn't care about losing too many pieces, he just sacrificed anything possible in order to set the final traps. I knew he was a genius since the first game I saw of him
" What day is it... What time is it.... Yeah it's that time"
Here is a finnish song I made for Mikhail Tal’s honor:

Ja unohtuu shakkikerhon ohjeet
Fischerin kanssa mä pöydän alle ryyppään USSRn jokaisen urpon
Mutt juomaksi kelpaa vain neljän rublan Bourbon

Mutt ei se mun mainetta kutista
Joskus turvaudun flaggaamiseen

Thanks buddy! 💯🔥😎
#1 and #3 are practically the same moves. Very similar ideas with the pawn threatening the knight in the corner and White's knight looking for the royal fork!
*You know what's common between tal and all of us .
We both sacrifice queen . But tal did intentionally and we do unintentionally 😂
most of chess techers are so boring.HE IS NOT!!!
Thanks buddy! 💯🔥😎
Lol this is a family channel... the game is over guys
🤣
I sacrifice my queen every loss
the story behind the Bobotsov game: the day before, they played several Blitz, all won by Tal. Bobotsov said this was not good for a real, long game. And Tal sac his queen again!
I kinda appreciate this commentary over agadmator, short concise and informative but kinda put off by the lines like he looked him in the eye etc lol apart from that good commentary ! Did watch the video full without being bored however the dramatization was unnecessary imo still a good job!
I swear he’d sacrifice the queen to double up the pawns for who he’s playing and just figure out how to take their queen later. 💀 Wild
Players nowadays rely too much on engines. Even for content creation. I mean, engines are good and meant to improve the whole game. But please stop saying things like, "Is this what the engine says?" It's a turn off. Too vulgar.

Mikhail Tal ks my idol in chess and even though chess has advanced far more and with prodigies like carlesn coming up, i still love his way of old school sacrifice and destroying
At 12:28 the best move for black was probably Knight to f3?
I guess!!
Tai is very aggressive player. If he is losing rather gonna get checkmated. He will sacrifice his king make the draw. It make Tai unbeatable.
Where are the other 20 sacrifices?
