The problem with that move is that white retakes black's rook on e8. The bishop is actually one of black's stronger pieces since pawns are on both sides of the board. He would rather not exchange it for the knight. Black's main problem is that his king is stuck on the h-file and taking on f1 doesn't solve this problem. If black plays Rc1 after the knight takes on e8. Then white just plays Kf2 and is better with the same advantages as the game.

Very nice! I really enjoy your videos about classical games, keep up the good work!
Thank you.
Very instructive! Thank you very much!
I like your videos, they're very interesting and educational keep on
For Tal if you sacrifice a piece for two pawns and king in the center, you get to sacrifice another piece 😂
Tal imagination + modern silicon precision would create a beast
Tal if he was not sick maybe wc 5 years like Carlsen
Thank u
Many thanks for your instructive videos.
I appreciate that, thank you.
I know a few chess plays who sacrificed their own lives to gain some advantage.
why didn't he took the rook on f1 (9:20)?
Easier said than done 😅
Why does bishop not take the rook
at 9:26 why didn't the bishop take the rook?
