I just love looking back at these retro commercials and seeing how beautiful and real we were back then I pray that the sistas return to this level of respect for themselves
The people that would accuse you of talking white, would be typically be from the South. Northerners and Southerners have always typically had different ways of speaking.
Sorry to tell you . Even then it was still bad being black. It has really never been good. from one side to the other! We never gave each other a break. They called you an uncle Tom then. Remember at that time we only got just a few spots a week to be on TV so we made the best of it. That was the time when it was getting a lot better because just a few years before this we were pretty much non existing on TV! wasn't till Dr King got shot that we started to be seen on TV
This really is a problem. You see, a lack of education among Black people has a lot to do with how other Blacks see it as "acting White". It is really ironic that Black peers have more to do with keeping other Blacks uneducated than anything else! It really isn't unexpected though-only God's Kingdom can solve the problems of racism, social injustice and poor education. Now, there is just more and more unrest. Not just among different races either.
I love Ultra Sheen I use the original formula conditioner and hairdress (blue). I've been using it since the early 90's an it still keeps my curls an waves on point.
They get your hair soft and they are great for both relaxed and natural styles. Even Madame CJ Walkers products seemed to do better than the products they make now
I saw a G. I've seen it all. Dope describes my rhymes, making all you emcees cold drop like dimes. You know MCSC is back again, and battling me on the microphone is like committing a sin. Scott the god/MCSC the god
Can't find this product anyway. Was told by the beauty supplies store that the blue one has been discontinued WHY they are still selling the green one! Help me understand why!

That'll never happen.
When Women didn’t worry about having a big behind and just looked beautiful and natural 🤷♀️
Exactly!✌🏽💯
They weren’t natural with having a relaxer though 🫠
@@TerrellAmariThey definitely didn't have relaxers. I can spot relaxed hair a mile away. They had press and curls.
@@cfoster6804 but they're selling relaxers.
The good old days when black people could be articulate without being accused of 'talking white'...

@belle mcellis Really? Aren't you the same person who recently insulted me and said I wasn't black? How rude, you know nothing about me. Shame on you.

Elegant commercial.
The one in the middle looks like Elise Neal. But I know it is not. She resembles her a lot.

She looks Indian or something to me.🤣
There are black Mexicans you know. I think she may be one of those that moved up from Mississippi with Choctaw in her family black folk.
I loved this commercials when racism is not so rampant.
Do you mean racism in the commercials weren't as rampant?
In 1971?

God, I love blacks.
Based on your name, I'll take it as you're being disgusting and disrespectful in saying that
@P2K GURL - Don’t tell “Face Reality" to go away, racist. That idiot can stay as long as he likes.
@P2K GURL - Why do you hate blacks?
