- As part of the build-up to the Alliance of British Watch and Clockmakers exhibition in March, the WatchGecko Magazine and RUclips team are visiting prominent British watch brands to get their take on the industry and valuable hands-on with homegrown horological creations.
The team traveled south in the UK to visit Zero West near Portsmouth. Two days of filming in their studio resulted in a fascinating interview with the founder plus superb hands-on footage of beautiful watches integrated with parts of Spitfires, Steam Trains, Hurricanes, and Lancasters.
Watches mentioned:
ZeroWest H2 - Battle of Britain
ZeroWest DB-1 Lancaster
ZeroWest FS-1 Flying Scotsman
ZeroWest FS-2 Flying Scotsman
ZeroWest LS-2 Land Speed

Zerowest are a very unique brand , in my opinion the finest British watch company by far , I own at the moment 3 zerowest watches all with their own unique history behind them, it won’t be long until I own another just waiting to see what’s next . Wearing them always brings friendly attention as most people haven’t seen one before and are curious about what’s on my wrist, best value for money peice of history on the market. Congratulations Andrew and graham you really have thought outside the box with your brand 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Laurence appreciate all your posts of support, thank you.
Great interview 😊👍.
I'm a very proud owner of 3 of ZW's works of art & always spot different things at their studio every time I visit..😊😊
Thanks for your great support Damian
That FS2 blackout custom ... wow ... just wow ... I want it Andrew 😍
3 new watches this year? Oh this could be an expensive year. Very proud to own 9 ZW watches so far. Andrew and Graham are such passionate and nice genuine guys!
That is one beautiful office.
Edit:
1) I'm happy that Zero West, and others, are flying the flag of British design globally - they do Britain proud.
2) I love their attention to detail and passion for history. A Crimean War - watch, using cannon?
3) Amazing office!
A great interview Richard with Andrew. The ideas, the in house design, watch straps made in house etc this place should be on the tourist board for watch interest. I find it great that it's an independent brand that can quickly change course depending on market and supply change conditions without as Andrew mentioned hearing 'The scheduled launch date is...' when it's known that things are not as desired. I can appreciate that so much having been a project manager for over a decade and a half and seeing a product launch before it's ready.
These Guys are first class love there ethos for British design. I am lucky enough the have a Longitude L2 which I purchased on a visit to the studio. Keep up the good work Zero West
Thanks Nigel, just trying to make the best watches we can. It's an obsession!
Are you two twins ? It's the glasses .enjoyed the video
Looking forward to the BW event. It will be good to see the watches in person rather than through a screen, even if the majority of brands are out of my budget.
I like the look of the watches but could never wear them with the butchers apron on it.
If they offered the option to not have it I’d be onboard.
Are you two twin brothers split at birth? 😂
I heard about Zero West a few weeks ago, I really really like them a lot but unfortunately they are too big for my wrist, a 38-39mm would be fantastic, hopefully in the future, good luck Zero West 👍🏻
I have small wrists, you should give their 41mm models a second look fella, I have the DB-80 and it fits perfectly 👌🏻🇬🇧
Thanks Pompeylad1977, you are always welcome to the studio, there's lots to see!
