boldr Venture Carbon Black

boldr's goal is to engineer watches for the outdoors that last a lifetime. This design is accurately based on World War 1 field watches. These were supplied to Officers to synchronise co-ordinating attacks between the troops in the trenches and the artillery. The British Ministry of Defence in 1914 commissioned the production of a watch that was simple, reliable, legible and tough enough for the rigours of trench warfare. Like the originals, this boldr watch has a black face, high contrast hands, and a tough metal case. It's been improved with titanium replacing steel, the sapphire crystal lens is just about unscratchable and a sealable crown which makes it water proof to 200 m. The Japanese movement is highly reliable and automatic - no daily wind up or charging. boldr was only founded in 2015, but they are already a disruptor in the market, with creatively designed products, superior materials and a lower price point than the establishment.
