One of the best songs from the 1980's, and seeing Mark King snap and pop that bass with all those cool lines while singing... as others here have noted, it's not an easy feat at all. And he pulls it off so effortlessly. I remember when this was a hit. The sun shined a lot brighter back then.
The lead vocalist and bassist is truly talented. No one really knows just how hard it is to play an instrument and sing a different melody simultaneously. The guy is truly a badass.

I noticed this a on a few Level 42 live tracks but I cant seem to see another keyboard player on stage, they aren’t using in ear monitoring so any augmented tracks would have to be played through the floor monitors. Hiya. For the benefit of those who aren't English, this band had an uphill struggle during their infancy, because I think they appealed to the Lads and Ladettes community of music lovers. A kind of weekend lager louts culture. Even when drunk, they could still appreciate what a tight and talented outfit Level 42 were. The rest of our country were kind of split into techno, new heavy metal, U2 Goth etc. But Level 42 kinda stood out on their own. And rightly so.
