This is my favorite PSB and Dusty song. I like other songs that Dusty recorded earlier in her career but this is definitely the best out of all of them. I like other PSB songs but nothing can ever top this!
As a rocker, and an American, I don’t really listen to a lot of this type of music. But the Pet Shop Boys were an exception to me. Great songwriting is great songwriting. And Dusty Springfield’s voice in this song…parts that were written for her it seems, we’re magical. No matter what I am doing, when this song comes on, I stop what I am doing and listen to every magical note.
She was really struggling for money at this point and was considered "washed up." This song brought her back. Someone with her talent should be celebrated and she is now held up as one of our greatest musicians. Her voice is magnificent. Pet shop boys are always fabulous.❤❤
