PC Lau and his colleague did a very good job in my opinion. I have to say I found it very funny when you engaged with them initially and answered all their questions with lines from songs. However, they kept their calm and especially PC Lau was very polite and respectful even though he was obviously perplexed at your replies and behavior. They also showed a genuine interest in listening to you and I feel/hope that they have benefitted from this interaction. Good on you guys !

I felt sorry for the young cops outside the police station. At first they looked truly perplexed. I warmed to them. The Asian-looking guy has a particularly lively mind.
The issue is they hate the fact there is nothing they can do to stop you filming. They seem to have issues grasping your rights and their rights to interfere with you going about your lawful business.
I think it's because they are so used to people just giving away all their rights instantly that they can't compute when someone doesn't follow their orders.
i know they have been trained to hit people, to talk down to people and to ignore people, but i think they were both off on the day they were trained on how to interact nicely with people.
Number plates give the public no information apart from telling us whether the vehicle is taxed and MOT'd. I can never understand police arguing that point.

What has happened, occasionally, is that certain officers in certain roles have been followed by criminals. They didn't bother getting the number plate and then finding out the owner's details since that is tracked and referenced and logged and recorded and has to be paid for. Way easier to just follow the car when they see the cop of interest and find their home address that way.

The fact that they are putting the responsibility of safety on you when it’s there to uphold the law and protect the public is absolutely amazing.. the fact they can’t understand that’s it’s a personal issue to keep yourself safe.

How come you get all these policemen coming out of their way asking if they can help you ? And yet when I got my car nicked from outside my workplace and actually phoned them for help as it was on CCTV , it was over THREE WEEKS before a bastard turned up ! 🤔
