I go to ole miss and was at the game and it was so crazy. I wasn’t able to storm the field tho because I’m a bartender at a bar at ole miss so as soon as the game ended I had to sprint to work before the rush of fans got there 😂. Craziest weekend in the 4 years I’ve been here. And by far the most money I made bartending in one night here lmao
I graduated last year and live about two and a half hours away from Oxford. I was wanting to atleast be in town during the weekend but at the last minute I decided not for absolutely no reason and now I'm deeply regretting it lol.
This Saturday is the Red River Shootout between Texas and Oklahoma. Both are undefeated. Y'all should react to it next week. Arguably the biggest rivalry in football and the most unique setting for a game. They play exactly halfway between the two campuses at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas in the middle of the Texas State Fair. Seating sections for each fanbase are split at the 50 yard line.
Wow! Ole Miss fan here. I was just thinking of recommending this game to y’all! My dad and I were pacing around in the fourth quarter and after the last play of the game we were jumping around and yelling in celebration! Hotty Toddy! God bless!
Daniels was dropping some beautiful passes for his receivers in the end zone. Ole Miss defenders look like they're in good position on most of them, but he's just putting the ball right over them into their bigger LSU receivers hands. Also, as an Ole Miss fan, I should add there there will be at least one of these games a year. Last year vs Bama, 2 years ago vs Arkansas... there will always be a game where neither team plays defense and it comes down to who has the ball last.
To hear two Englishmen call NCAA and know the teams, know the calls, and to know the PLAYERS. I must say, BRILLIANT! Haha. And the ole miss vs lsu game was my favorite.
On most years by October, you can usually tell who is the best team in college football is and who is the front runner to win the championship is. I am not lying or kidding when I say that this is the most unpredictable college football season I’ve personally seen in recent memory. Everyone top to bottom has strengths and weaknesses Are genuinely unexpected. I will go out on a limb and say that at the end of the 12 game regular season, there will not be a single undefeated team remaining. That’s all I know.
Ole Miss => Old Mississippi ..."Rebels" => The state's rebellious attitude towards the government, helping start the Civil War in the 1860s. ...Those of us over 45 in America remember a popular box of candied popcorn called "Cracker Jacks". Few Americans know that the term "cracker Jacks" came from the British expression "cracker" or "cracking", for something or someone who has done well. The tv commercials were always sports related, referring to the star athlete as "a cracker".
Watching these two guys, or blokes, commenting over the highlights of NCAA and NFL football, giving their opinions and musings while continually learning the games, is becoming one of my absolute favorite things to watch. Their interest for the sport seems genuine and curious, making it really cool to see them picking up something, whether from a team, a rule, a stat, a certain play or player and then, retain the info and call it out on a following video. I think they're doing a great job learning as they go. American football is my favorite sport and it's a fun time to see others get introduced, get interested and, finally, become true fans.
To answer your question at 9:58, you go there because it’s better to go straight for the first down line than to run parallel to it. Yeah the running back has speed, but so does the secondary of the defense. If he cuts it outside, you don’t have blockers out there so it turns into a foot race .So it makes sense to run straight at the first down and hope that your blocking scheme works against whatever defensive front they’ve called. Also, one of the benefits of the wildcat is since you are directly snapping it to the runner, you can have an extra blocker or a more threatening decoy. It evens the player use more when you don’t just have a quarterback handing it off to the running back. It’s also quicker when you take out the handoff. That’s another reason you run it right up the middle.
Just for reference Ole Miss is the nickname for the University of Mississippi and derived from the title of the schools yearbook and very old English and the town happens to be Oxford which provides shuttle service with upper decker bus.
Over here, other than "Cracks me up" as in "it's funny" crack means a small break in something meant to be solid or a variety of street drug. Usually the latter.
What makes it even crazier is LSU had a chance to win at the end. The last pass went right through the receiver's hands...probably should have been caught.
Jayden Daniels doesn’t like to slide and it leads to hits like the one at the beginning of the video. He has to learn to slide or else he won’t have much more of a career when his body is broken.
Usually don’t try the outside on wildcat stuff because DBs and athletic LBs will catch you easily and probably in the backfield. Also, you’d be following your QB as a lead blocker. QBs are notoriously poor blockers for obvious reasons AND you do not want to risk injuring your QB by making him block for the RB. Some teams take more risks tho.
Michigan is a going to be a contender. No doubt. Georgia is living off the past two years for their ranking but they are still a top 5 team. Texas has me intrigued but will they keep the pace?
Yeah you guys are really getting into NCAA football. Its a while lotta fun and excitement compared tobthr NFL. now this week we have a serious rivalry... TEXAS-vs-OKLAHOMA. Many years i was driving cross-country and happened to driving north of Dallas into Oklahoma and all i saw for miles were cars and party buses driving south out of Oklahoma towards Texas...then I realizeed it was the week of the Big Game.
This hurt my heart. Waaay back in the day Old Miss was one of our big rivals but we normally win more in recent years. Can’t believe we scored 49 and lost. Gotta fix the defense ASAP. Embarrassing Geaux 🐯
Michigan has probably been the biggest standout so far this season, but the big knock against them is they haven't played any really challenging teams yet. Penn State will probably be their first actual test this season it should be a great game!
The last LSU touchdown wasn’t really a touchdown if you find the replay. He didn’t have full possession of the ball until after he hit the ground out of bounds
I don’t know about checked out but when you’re relying on your QB to make precision passes to score every time it’s going to catch up to you. Don’t get me wrong, LSU‘s offense is elite but Ole Miss’s D is better than LSU’s
Just another week in the most exciting sport. Lol. Great win for Ole Miss after the Bama loss. The SEC is in a fair amount of chaos this year. Though if the Tide straighten out their QB and their young offensive line has continued growth their going to be the team to beat, despite their early season loss to Texas. This week could be their toughest test remaining as they have to travel to Kyle Field to play Texas A&M, while their other tough games are at home.
Hey guys great game to review. To answer one of your questions Damo about the championship. As a Michigan fan, that Penn State game is going to be a real challenge for us this year. Luckily it's not a white out at night game, but I saw a poll today of Michigan fans and we are more concerned about the Penn State game than " the Game" (Michigan Ohio State) this year. The last few weeks of Big Ten play will be interesting. Also, Michigan still has some concerns, so it's always possible they will lose one they should have won.
Yeah rewatching was torture. Uninspired play with no pride. I came up watching the old Saban teams, then Dorsey, Highsmith, Ty Matheiu, Pat Pete generations. The past 5 or so years have hurt to watch defensively. I always complained during the 2019 run that the defense wasn’t up to par… I’d kill to have those guys now
@@Ethanbball7 heck if they can just get to that 2019 defense this team can be dangerous with the way this offense is clicking. I’ll take that 100% at this point 😂
Playoff contenders this year: SEC - Georgia, Bama Big 12 - Texas, Oklahoma (Oklahoma cant beat Texas twice so they wont make it) Big 10 - Ohio St, Michigan, Penn St Pac 12 - Oregon, USC, Washington ACC - Florida St, Duke Notre Dame is in this mix but only if they dont lose again. Hell yeah dude. Graduated a year ago and miss memories like that. Enjoy it and Hotty Toddy

Enjoyed it guys. Just FYI, Dart didn’t have his top 2 receivers and tight end vs. Bama. That made a pretty big difference

I’m glad you’re learning when and when not to add “state” to school names. I was beginning to fear for your safety if you kept getting that wrong 😂😂

The outright refusal by both teams to tackle anybody is admirable lmao
