If you do decide to go to a college game, be sure to do the tailgating stuff before the game. And don't be shy about it either. Just ask a group if you can join them, and jhst tell them you're from Portugal and they will more than likely gladly allow you to join their group for some free burgers, hotdogS, brats, or BBQ.

I'm a Michigan State fan. And yes, 8 of the 10 largest stadiums in the world by capacity are US college football - India has a larger cricket stadium, and North Korea claims to have a larger soccer stadium, but the next eight are Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State, Texas A&M, LSU, Tennessee, Texas, and Alabama. After that are the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Camp Nou. The largest NFL stadium would only be tied for 15th among college stadiums.
The clips in this video were Virginia Tech, Florida State, Penn State, Clemson, Wisconsin (though that wasn't actually their entrance, that was what they do at the end of the third quarter), and Michigan.

That entrance with the bus. The locker rooms are in the back of the stadium, the home team dresses and boards the team bus, which drives them around, through a throng of cheering fans, to let the team enter thru the main doors to go to the field. the visitors still enter from the back.
Also, you asked why the irish flag was there, that was the visiting team, the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame fan section

Running down The Hill is a tradition that we kept from when our locker rooms were across the street at Fike Field House and the team just walked across the street, ran down a hill and into the stadium. It was the quickest way to the stadium back then. Now we make pageantry out of it. It's awesome

My fathers first job as a kid was selling programs at the stadium. It runs deep in my blood. I plan my entire fall season around the games on Saturday. Georgia has won the last 2 national championships and going for their 3rd in a row. They have won 29 games in a row and 44 of their last 45 games which is an unbelievable accomplishment. Georgia fans are in the middle of the golden era of the football program. When we are old men we will look back at this time as the best it ever was for us. I do not take it for granted.

Michigan and Ohio State is definitely the biggest rivalry in the Big Ten Conference, with the game usually determining the winner of the Big Ten's East Division ...and often the eventual winner of the Big Ten Championship Game. I prefer college football to the NFL, and am a lifelong fan of the University of Illinois Fighting Illini, also a member of the Big Ten Conference. I am so excited to finally have a good football team!! My high school (ages 15-18) was huge for American football. I was used to going to huge games, lots of fans, band, cheerleaders. But I chose a smaller college not known for sports (I mean, you go to college to learn, right?). But oh boy I missed out on these while I was young enough to really enjoy it. I've become an "honorary" fan of several universities, based on my husband's college, my friends' colleges. WHEN you visit the US (and you will), find someone in a town you want to visit, especially in the autumn (Aug-Dec) and see if you can get tickets to the university football game closest to you. Especially if you have a knowledgeable fan, you'll get the experience AND learn what a lot of these initials and rules mean. Because you asked, I'm a fan of University of Memphis (Tennessee) because my husband graduated there. Also a fan of University of Florida, University of Georgia (which is a head scratcher for many, because they are rivals). If you go to a Florida game, you learn the CHOMP (right arm out front high up, left out front down low, then close them together like an alligator would. They're the Gators). Oh, I also cheer for the Oregon Ducks, just because they're the DUCKS. Not Tigers, or Eagles, or Bulldogs....ducks. Come on. How tough is a duck? Well, pretty tough! The mascot does a pushup for every point the team makes. That can be a LOT of pushups in a big mascot costume! That's why I cheer them on. The game at 5:10 is Florida State Seminoles (a native tribe, thus the oh-oh-ohhh chant) versus Notre Dame "Fighting Irish" (thus the Irish flag). Yes, you boo the opposing team.

We are a smaller yet proud program with a phenomenal history, but the last ten years or so have been mostly disappointing with the occasional high and low points. We play in the MAC which is in the Midwestern US in the same region as the Big Ten, but we are a much smaller conference compared to the Big Ten so we get less attention nationally. Still though, I'm proud to be a CMU Chippewa and will be until the day I die. I'm not alone in feeling this way too, you see the incredible passion in college football because no professional sports team could ever create the same connection that people feel with their college teams. The allegiances are fierce, territorial, and generational. It's the greatest sport in the world in my opinion. Nothing else on earth like it

2nd clip Florida State (home) v Norte Dame fighting Irish (hence Irish flag). In the US this opening references a Native American tribe (Seminoles) and is viewed by some as trivializing the tribe. But not everyone holds this view.

I went to Florida State University and am an avid football fan. We will be playing for the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship this coming Saturday. We finished the season with a 12-0 record. If we win this weekend, we will probably go into the final four who will play for the National Championship. Go Noles!!!! That's for "Seminoles".

I’m with ya on Roll Tide but I have to say Ole Miss & then my other is LSU. You can blame it on family members who couldn’t pick the same college. So, I have to pull for ALL 3! And when ever they play each other I HAVE TO PULL FOR BOTH! So it can be a mess 🤣 ✌🏻

for the second to last one the reason there was no team was that was technically a start of the 4th quarter event, that was a misplaced clip. the last stadium is MI like you said and its the largest stadium in the US at 105K people max

Went to Texas, the old SWC teams, new Big 12, Tulane, Georgia Tech, UTSA, now NMSU. The vast majority of university students are 18-22, first time living away from home, and most universities have all sorts of sports, entertainment, and events. Great time to be that age at university.

Wyoming Cowboys fan for college football. We went 8-4 this year which is pretty good. Exceeded most fans' expectations here. We have one game left which is a post season game called a bowl game. A bowl game is a post season reward for all teams that won more than 6 games for the year. It's a neutral site game (mostly in the Southern states or the Bahamas) and it gives an opportunity to match up against a team near your skill level. A trophy is involved if you win and the team usually goes out to the location where they are playing a week before to have fun and do charitable work. It's basically the closing to the season. At the end of all the bowl games is the biggest games which is the semifinals and national championship (top 4 teams in the country). The bowls haven't been announced yet. We won't know who we play until after this week.

Michigan State University aka "The Spartans". I used to live on campus for a year, and then i lived across the street on M.A.C. drive next to Pinball Pete's. But i live close enough to Notre Dame University that the jets for the games fly over my house.

Boise State graduate/fan here. Also, don't apologize for liking college football more than the NFL. It is better and millions of people agree with you, including myself.
Edit: The reason for the Irish flag is because that team (in white) is Notre Dame University and their mascot is the Fighting Irish.

The first video is Virginia Tech. The actual name is too long. The men and women in blue uniforms are the Corp of Cadets. Basically, there's a military academy in the school to train prospective officers of all the branches. The cadets have to walk in a certain way with their uniforms, square their meals (fork/spoon forward, up, then into the mouth) to show discipline. The school mascot is a turkey which is the reason for the costume. I attended Va Tech and didn't really go to too many games as I don't like crowds. My roommates and I would watch it on our small tv in the dorm which could only have bunk beds. When I moved out to an apartment (freshmen arer required to stay in a dorm) in my junior year,

My college team is the University of Central Florida Knights in Orlando. They don't have the history and brand as schools like the Florida Gators, Alabama Crimson Tide and Michigan Wolverines, but they're top 2 in terms of largest student bodies at 70,000+ students and are in the Big 12 Conference. The best college football conference in terms of championships is the Southeastern Conference or SEC, which Alabama and Florida are a part.

My college football team is the Boise State Broncos. Not as big of a stadium as the ones in this video but their football field is blue and orange to match their colors so it's pretty cool. But a lot of people hate it 😂
