    Couple things:
    - Coaches tell players to not lower their heads when tackling or running through traffic because that's how most spinal injuries occur. It also means you can't see where you're going or what you're tackling!
    - The fastest players on the field are generally WRs and CBs, with RBs and Safeties as runners up. There are some RBs and S with 4.3 speed, but generally the speed demons are at WR and CB.

    Fournette will forever be on my list of people I admire, because of the love he gave to my Gamecocks after we had the worst flooding in Columbia in 100 years.Everyone involved with LSU were amazing. Always got love for that man for that

    We played rugby in the US as kids. We called it tackle loco. Watching your clips made me remember it, we don't play it organized or even on a team. We would throw the ball in the air. Whoever caught it, EVERYBODY would then "fuck up" (try to gang take) if you made it to the endzone, you scored, and then threw the ball into a group of everyone else and the same rule applied, if you got takled you threw the ball behind you and again, same rule applied. It was a simplified painful version of rugby.

    Yeah another awesome thing about Leonard Fournette in college is that his number was and is still a legendary number. If you get the number 7 at LSU it means you have and are doing something incredible for the team. Patrick Peterson and Tyran Matthieu wore that number.

    Just started watching your videos about 2-3 weeks ago and I love it man. It's great to see other people who haven't played the game of football and just see how they react to the game. Keep grinding and working hard for that running back spot man. Also if you want a good team to cheer for next year and years to come follow the Steelers, you will not be dissapointed. Also last thing check out Antonio Brown or Le'veon Bell both are absolute monsters for the Steelers.

  • @FirstnameLastname-qb2bg

    The Cornerback position is by far the fastest players in football.

    • @FirstnameLastname-qb2bg
      @FirstnameLastname-qb2bg 6 лет назад +2

      I don't think so. I'm talking about the position as a whole. The slower WRs in the league brings down the overall WR speed. The CB position doesn't have the amount of slow people on the back end like the WR position does. Also speed isn't essential to being a great WR . Raw speed is almost a pre-requisite to being a NFL CB.

    React to Todd Gurley 2017 NFL Offensive Player of the Year highlights! He's easily one of the best running backs in football, even after tearing his ACL in college. He has some of the best moves in the NFL including the hurdle, where he literally jumps over tacklers' heads. He's also one of the best pass catching backs in the league and has run the 40 yard dash in less than 4.3 seconds at 6 foot 1 and 220 lbs. I love your videos and just subbed! 👍

      Slim Brady only reason for the drop off is all the players that are really good that they all passed on or overlooked. And the rest of the country was sick of their dominance. But yes they are still top of the heap. This coming from an Oregon fan we just suck since Chip left

    Little inside secret, Leonard is down to 223, last year had the first AND second fastest runs of the NFL. This year, HE IS FASTER. He also now has an Offensive line. Last year he ran straight into 8 defenders all year and still somehow broke 1000. NOBODY in the NFL has faced as many schemes just for them. The entire NFL had one job vs Jacksonville, Crowd the middle and stop Fournett.

    Good question because the safeties have to be quick in that last line of defense but the corners also have to be quick to keep up with the speedy receivers. It might just come down in the end to who has the better awareness and coverage when assigning those positions instead of basing it off of who’s faster

    We gotta get you over here to the states so you can react to this stuff in person man! College football is where it's at. The atmosphere on gamedays in certain cities can be crazy! You need to go to a Alabama vs Auburn, Oklahoma vs Texas, Ohio State vs Michigan, Army vs Navy, etc. game. I think you'd absolutely love it!

    Corners tend to be faster while safeties tend to be more aggressive. corners are more-so pass support and safeties also have pass support but also are more involved in the run support.

I’ve watched every single football video you’ve posted so far and I’m loving it! I love how you break things down and ask questions it’s so cool what you are doing! It’s also really cool when you pull up a rugby legend it’s very cool learning about rugby. It’s like I’m learning things just like you are! Keep up the great work!

    Cornerbacks and safeties (both commonly referred to as the secondary or defensive backs) are generally the fastest players on the defense. Some linebackers can match that speed, Bobby Wagner, LaVonte David and Luke Kuechly are the first ones that come to mind, but they're typically not as fast as most defensive backs.

  • @braddelf3
    @braddelf3 6 лет назад

    so traditionally corners are the fastest defenseman on the field... they gotta be able to keep up with the wide receivers from the offense who are wicked fast running forwards while they are running backwards covering them... safeties are basically a deep coverage corner linebacker hybrid.... meaning they cover both pass and run usually end up covering tight ends on pass or coming up for run support like a LB ,,, safeties are basically a mix between a linebacker and corner and they love delivering the boom

  • @peytonnewell9146
    @peytonnewell9146 6 лет назад

    Corners are typically the fastest, safety’s can also be the fastest. Also now a Days even outside linebackers have speed. Now a days it’s more common to see linebackers run like a 4.7 - 4.5, and most corners and safeties are in the 4.5 - 4.3 range

    I watched your video reviewing Leonards rookie year in the NFL. All I kept thinking was "PLEASE WATCH HIM IN COLLEGE" Glad it finally happened! Normally corners and safety's are the same speed. Just stupid fast.

    corners are more athletic than safetys, safetys are going to be an in between of a corner and line backer so they are usually bigger than corners and they need a good IQ so they can read the plays well, they also blitz so size helps when it comes to tackling a running back or passing the offensive line! hope this helped you understand this beautiful game even more

    Cornerbacks(Defense) and Wide Receivers(Offense) are generally where you will see the fastest players in the game with the occasional running back up there as well.

    I mean it depends in all honesty usually the safeties need to be the fastest bc they have to cover the WHOLE field but the corners need to be fast to cover very fast receivers. So depending on the safety or corner ig

    • @slimbrady6691
      @slimbrady6691 6 лет назад

    • @slimbrady6691

      Slim Brady ur wrong tho😂 why do u need to try and start a argument..? Safeties need to be fast bc they what cover the whole field soo Oof.

    It all depends on the kind of corner or safety. Your man to man corners and more ball hawking type safeties are gonna have more speed. But your zone type corners and safeties are gonna be a little slower and are usually are the better tacklers.

  • @teezwilliams22
    @teezwilliams22 6 лет назад

    They used to say a Safety was a Cornerback that was too slow to be a Cornerback so they moved to Safety, so the thought is that corners are usually faster

    Cornerback is typically the fastest and most agile and athletic position and is the hardest to play as an actual corners perspective because you guard 1 on 1 with usually a much bigger receiver and one little mistake can go a long way and the odds are often not in the corners favor

  • @kc7490
    @kc7490 6 лет назад

    Usually the corners are faster than the safteys seeing as they’re better in man coverage and safteys are usually playing deep zone or somewhere in the box (where the linebackers are)

  • @JohnnyV76V

    all four of the defensive backs (CBs, Free Safety, Strong Safety) are fast and normally the positions are necessarily seperated based on speed. the corners tend to have better man to man coverage skills than the safeties do and the safeties tend to be better and zone coverage and shorter sprints (getting to sidelines fast to close down on the WR.). Its not always the case. most could play the other's position if they were needed to.

    The fastest typical position on defense is the Cornerbacks, but you can also have safeties with cornerback speed. Look up the DBs combine!!!! Jamal Adams, Former LSU Safety is pretty fast and has a great highlight tape! College and Rookie season tape
