Indeed, I also notice that when Jirard reverses time, there's graphical effects missing. In my PC copy, along with the pulsing effect, there's also a heavier bloom and blur effects. It felt like time was being altered, here it's just a stupid looking pulse effect.

    • @FourSwordsLord

In the GameCube version, there were audio issues...but it just sounded tinny/low quality at times. I never understood it since Warrior Within and Two Thrones on GameCube were considered the most technically sound of the bunch.

What i liked at the time was the top notch voice acting and some of the Prince jokes and banter.
Cause remember that for the entir game there's only 3 people alive in the palace, You(the Prince), the Princess and the Vizir/Bad guy.
But as not to feel empty, you did had some interactions with the Princess, and even without the Princess, sometimes the prince would , you know make some exposure, so that the player knew where he had to go, and what he needed to do.
And there's this one time where the Prince does his exposure like "Ok so i need to go to the Baths and find the way to the secret passage, but where are the baths?, pretty sure i can't ask one of the servants since they all transformed into monsters..."
"Hey! , yeah sorry to bother you, but could you point me to the baths, if you know where they are before you where transformed into a Monster of the Sands by an ancient Curse?..."
"What the hell i'm i doing?, i'm starting to loosing it, i'm talking to myself outloud..."
Its not 100% accurate, but that whole banter, just cracked me up and left me laughing for a while.

@@Openreality Just get the boxes for the various games in the series for the background like usual. No idea what the prices are for these games, but since all they need are boxes, those should be cheap to get on eBay.
As for the shirt, since it's a game about manipulating time, a time travel based shirt would be appropriate, such as Back to the Future or Doctor Who. And I know for a fact that they made a BttF-esque shirt for TOVG.

@Zachary Erickson I just did a search on eBay and he could have gotten 5 different Prince of Persia boxes (including the Wii one) for under $5 each. Presumably, he had this episode planned out beforehand, which would have given him enough time to get the boxes.
Unless you actually believe he completes the game, writes it, records the episode, and has it edited all in the same week?

I can kind of understand why Jirard is against completing Yakuza 0. Playing the game is fun, but completing it is a pain. Aside from the trophies, there's an in-game completion list that you need to 100% for one of the trophies. In that completion list, there're things like clearing shogi, mahjong, and several other Japanese gambling games. Instead of on the Completionist, can we at the very least see even a One and Done in SBB (although the problem with that is that the game is heavy on cutscenes which would take up a lot of the time). The game/series is a fun experience (there's great video by dunkey explaining why) and many people miss out on it.

    • @georgeb4899

The combat and side missions in this series is usually pretty enjoyable and it's fun exploring kamarucho. If for no other reason play it for me because I still don't have a ps4 or decent pc to play it on! ;-;

I felt like somebody was going to molest me as a child using this game as bait...
I was 10-11 somewhere around there, and I was at some people’s house, like family friends or whatever I don’t recall, and there were all adults and I was the only kid, and there was this guy who was like “you like games? I have an Xbox in my room” I was like “no” then he was like “I’ve got prince of persiiaaaa” and I was like no it’s okay, but I was tempted.
Turns out there was some nasty rumors on that guy that surfaced years later, messing around with kids or something. But I can’t confirm that anything was true. So maybe I was about to be molested, maybe he just felt bad because I was the only kid there.
Sorry for getting deep, I just had to release that.

And you're right about how cool the combat is, except for the repetition. At times I kept wanting the enemies to attack more often, or to vary a little, maybe throw in heavy-slow and light-fast attacks, or, idk, combinations.

Sands of Time was my favourite game of the PS2 era. It had a rather great story uncommon to games of its time, though I made a point to collect games from its era that had great stories.
I would love to see a Completionist review of Warrior Within. It's an amazing edgelord version of Sands of Time with a capital E.
The combat is better with more variety though with an arguably worse story at least on the surface. As it goes on and you get to the second part it turns the story on its head which was a great twist.
It also has the best antagonist in the form of the Dahaka. I won't say more about that as its amazing to see for yourself.
