I saw & met warrant in az! The black eye was from I think a bar fight the night before. Jani was an AMAZING song writer plagued with alcoholism. But he was the absolute kindest celebrity I’ve ever met. And I’ve met so so many! Rip Jani Lane
One of the most underrated/overlooked bands in the 80's when it came to band talent and songwriting. Unfortunately, after Cherry Pie, (which they were for all intents and purposes FORCED to write), they lost a lot of respect in the industry. The record company wanted a "hit song", so they spent five minutes writing Cherry Pie and that was that. Their catalog as a whole is actually quite good though. RIP Jani Lane.
Fantastic reaction. When Grunge hit, and replaced metal overnight on both the radio and MTV, it felt like everything that meant so much to us musically was just washed away, never to be spoken of again. That you are finding and enjoying these songs means the world to me. Thanks, and keep up the great work.
I really miss Jani Lane! His voice, his talent, his charisma on stage. He left us way way way too early!!! I would have loved to see what else he was capable of, artistically. I get an ache deep inside of me when I hear him sing. It makes me miss him even more than I already do. He was just so damn talented!! I will always love him and his music. I will never forget him and I will always miss him. RIP Jani!! ❤
Yes, you pronounced it right. I was fortunate to meet him twice. This is a top five ever song to me. You need to see the original for the complete feel. Take a listed to their song Uncle Tom's Cabin. It's a story for real! Editing to add that I saw Poison with Warrant on September 30th, of that year and I was up front and center for that show...holy heck what a great memory. One of my life faves.
Warrant is one of my favorite bands. So much good stuff after Cherry Pie that went pretty much unnoticed by many. I suggest Machine Gun, April 2031, Quicksand, and Bitter Pill for starters.
I saw them earlier in the tour on 9/30/90. My fave concert every although Guns n Roses caught up a few years ago when they played here n Denver. Another of my faves. I still go to as many concerts as I can go to while we still have these bands around...some are fading away with age so it's a need for me!
This was their attempt to outglam Poison. Yes it pronounced Jay-nie. This is bad a##. I have never seen this appearance. Have always enjoyed the song but never seen the appearance. Very 😎. This song peaked on the chart at #2 and stayed there for a couple weeks.
That butterfly suture could be a number of things. Jani Lane had an alcohol and some drug issues, and rumors has it he was difficult to get along with because of his problems. There are some stories that he got into it with band members and other bands members on many occasions, I love Jani Lane and his voice. One of my favorite 80' early 90's hair bands at that time. IMO one of the underrated bands of that era, even though they was very popular, and had some mega hits, they was not considered to be one of the so called talented bands of the era, musically anyway. For the most part in most peoples eyes Jani was the one that everyone focused on even though the rest of the band was very talented.
Jani Lane is the poster dude for how a record label can destroy a man. I think the last song he recorded was That's Life off the Sin-Atra album. He has a damn good voice for it, just as powerful as this
JL was a gifted songwriter. He was also a great performer as long as his demons were under control. His popular songs are kind of timeless. As others have said here, the song Cherry Pie (as fun as it may be) was forced to happen by the record company and probably did permanent damage to their legacy at the time because it was harder to take them seriously. They were starting to write songs with less of a party theme, but the record company kind of forced them back onto the party theme path with the Cherry Pie song and album name. That album was supposed to be called Uncle Tom's Cabin, a much better title that would have highlighted a better song. I do not think JL gets enough credit as a songwriter.
This was a great listen if you were ever to do a review again try to do it with the music video from MTV back in the day. I got to see them twice once when they opened up for KISS along side with Slaughter as well and then as the comment before when Jani Lane was down on his luck touring where you could see the Booze and Drugs took affect in his performance and singing when they toured with RATT in the mid 90's. I would say check the Music Video from back in the day and do a review to this version and to that one and see which you like best.
As for the shiner and butterfly suiture. ha.. More than likey from :LSD. (Lead singer disease), these bands back then tons of ego, drugs , alcohol, messing with other dudes girls and the list goes on.. CC and Brett from Poison went at it often backstage before and after shows. It was pretty normal, I mean think about 20something year old dudes given millions, on tv all the time, thousands of screaming girls every night wanting you... Those ego's were enormous. Which usually turned into fights

I met him in '91, he was so sweet, humble, shy.. I agree, amazing songwriter. I loved all their albums, but Dog Eat Dog is my favorite!
I saw Warrant in concert in 89 they opened for Motley crue and Jani was just amazing his voice was so good...he is missed everyday....R.I.P Jani.

Jani Lane is one talented guy!! Under appreciated talent. RIP
RIP Jani Lane. Thank you for your awesome music an amazing voice. Gone but never forgotten.
Suzi & Travis not only two are hilarious but a beautiful couple!!!
Awesome song for his baby girl
Jani was one of the best singer/songwriters of his era. Warrant isn't even close to the same without him.
Every word also works to describe a fathers love for his daughter...
Yup, it really does!!and it hits so much harder since Jani Lane does have two daughters! he's such a talented musician. ❤Rip🤍
This was my wedding song.

Type in JANI LANE NEVAEH RE-VERSED!!!! 😇😍
RIP Jani, we miss your music , but are glad you graced us with it.
I was in high school when this came out. Never failed to get couples on the dance floor.
Warrant is one of my favorite bands. So much good stuff after Cherry Pie that went pretty much unnoticed by many. I suggest Machine Gun, April 2031, Quicksand, and Bitter Pill for starters.
Rip. I will always miss Jani and Warrant in their prime.
Saw these guys open for Poison in 91'. What an amazing night, so much fun and Warrant was a lot better live than I thought they'd be
I saw them earlier in the tour on 9/30/90. My fave concert every although Guns n Roses caught up a few years ago when they played here n Denver. Another of my faves. I still go to as many concerts as I can go to while we still have these bands around...some are fading away with age so it's a need for me!
Jani Lane is definitely the best singer, songwriter and frontman of all times. Love him ❤RIP please do more Warrant there are so many great songs!

Amazing band. It got me into metal
Guys- Songs like Blind Faith, Sometimes She Cries, I saw Red are the best of Warrant….Janie Lane was truly an underrated song writer
the Bitter Pill its an underrated song He wrote .Underated song for an underrated writer/singer
I love “I can’t help myself” jani lane
Surely underated
I met the singer about three weeks before their first album came out… They were in a small club in Brooklyn New York… He liked my name Jim Morrison

The next one you need to listen to by warrant is called I Saw Red.
Down boys
I remember seeing in Circus Magazine back in the day that Motley Crue and Warrant got into a fight at an awards show.
Yes,...,.
Amo vocês e sou apaixonado por essa banda..
Excelentes músicos.
Saudações de Curitiba-pr Brasil.🇧🇷🤘
I saw red by warrant... It's good too... Hope you like it

Omg high school dances memories lol
have to react to DANGER DANGER - Don´t walk away and Slaughter - Fly to the Angels
Hunterz....Blind faith Warrent
This song is a marster piece
RIP Jani Lane
Jani was a phenomenal singer that got drowned out by a their song Cherry Pie, because the record company pushed it. So many great songs.
They caught a lot of unnecessary crap. They were very good and Jani was an incredible songwriter. Check out their Dog Eat Dog album.
1990 American music awards
My brother seen them along with motley crue,he said they kicked there ass.
This song was about his daughter
No. Heaven was released in 1989 and Taylar wasn't born until 1992.

Another great song choice. I don’t know what happened to his face.
You did pronounce his name correctly
dam-- gotta dust off my bc rich double neck
You guys should definitely do more avenged sevenfold!!!
Blind faith also is good by warrant
Try far away eyes
It's pronounced "Jane-ee", just like the Aerosmith song "Janey Got a Gun".
Him and Brett Michael had a very bad quell she was screwing Brett but what really came down was rocking Nelson's twims
Butterfly, either MK ULTRA or biblical transformation. The music industry sacrifices the good ones. Warrant was good until, " cherry pie."
I can't hear you
Too much nonsensical talking and pausing, sorry but it’s a total buzz kill, for no reason at all.😞
