Yeah, I'm so glad it wasn't cut, unlike Roid Loid's in Cour 1. Still, a small part of me wanted any hint that Äs Nödt might have survived the Auschwällen 9 years ago.
yeah, it was awesome seeing Rukia in action and the symbolism in her battle with As Nodt was powerful. I'm glad they explored his past, it humanizes him despite his terrifying nature.
Man, I just noticed how symbolic it is that Byakuya touched Rukias hand and it started to unfreeze. Yes, he is helping her to handle her Bankai and defrost. But it's also symbolism that Byakuya was once cold to Rukia, but now his hand is warm and it takes the coldness away, because he is is no longer cold, but loving to Rukia.
I also just realized the siblings were representing winter and spring. Byakuya helped rukia and reminding her to take it slowly and carefully to defrost is just like how spring comes after winter, slowly and steadily getting warmer before letting plants blooming again
that's a great observation, The symbolism of Byakuya's touch unfreezing Rukia's hand represents not only his support in helping her with her Bankai, but also the transformation of their relationship from coldness to warmth and love.
They nailed both the horrific terror of As Nodt and the stunning beauty of Rukia's Bankai. A wonderful adaptation of one of the most iconic fights in the TYBW!
That's honestly the only good part of it. Otherwise, it was frustrating. That, and the part where Haschwalth explained that Ywach absorbed their powers back to avoid reverting back to his insensate self was silenced out, and that was a bit frustrating.

By the sound of it, the TWBY anime has been "frustrating" to you since episode 1 since you're only looking for the new stuff anyway and not the stuff already revealed in the manga. You don't sound like you even care about the quality of the adaptation (when I say "quality", I'm not referring to "yes, new content!"). We already know what Hashwalth going to say to Ishida all that was missing there was that if Yhwach stops absorbing souls he will return to the state he was in when he was a blind deaf motionless baby
The way they did cang du and bg9 had me shook. That was probably the most brutal moment in the anime ever. The way they had dudes head on his body when they was carting him off💀. the disrespect. Unfortunate we will never know bg9 K meaning.
The unfortunate part was they cut out Cang du's line. He takes Hashwalths blade, blocks it with the the iron, then states " A blade of this level will never be able to cut me. I will only be killed by His Majesty".
If we get an anime adaptation for Cant fear you own world or a continuation of the New Breaths from Hell arc we would see it again. And after Rukia trains more with her Bankai she can actually fight and be mobile in that state.
I've always been upset that Rukia never really got her moment to shine. Even with her fight with Aaroniero it felt like she just barely defeated him and never got that Bad Ass moment that so many characters get. I'm glad that this episode not only focused on giving her that but showing her relationship with Byakuya.
You know I know some people are upset that we never find out what that “K” stood for but I don’t think people realize that we never actually get told that the F stood for The Fear even though it’s obvious. We only get confirmation in Volume 57 at the end of Chapter 501 on page 42 we see Kubo’s little drawing of an F with ear next to it with a fly on it.
Kubo prefers visual storytelling and a lot of things are obvious if you listen to how the characters look and behave. Its been indirectly stated on numerous occasions that his shrift is knowledge, but I understand that need for 100% confirmation. We might get data book after this arc for those diehard Bleach knowledge gurus lol
@@AmbitiousMuscle I know that, but with the Fear, we got souch more context clues, unlike with BG9, where we got some stuff that hints it could get the Knowledge, but depending on how you extrapolate his abilities, it could be something else. i remembered during the arrancar arc when Rukia got impaled by Aaroniero, the wounds was left in a frozen state. I thought she was going to not make it through the series. But after watching Rukia's explanation of her shikai, it makes more sense how she survived that impalement until help came.

12:14 Uryu directly asking if killing their own highly skilled soldiers is needed is a really nice touch in the anime (really gives us the idea he has chosen the Quincy side through and through).
@@babytoshiro7014 and I love haschwalth response that Yawach needs the quincies to take some losses (so he can continue in by absorbing their powers ). It works so perfectly for the anime.
I think that's just him acting as an audience surrogate. Still, I do like how Uryuu is being slowly drip fed the truth about Ywach as the story goes on, and his shock each time makes it clear he's wondering what he's gotten himself into. That, and unlike DBZImran, I totally believe this is Haschwalth's way of subtly threatening Uryuu about his fate should he turn against Ywach. Jugo may not be as openly hostile in the anime, but every line towards Uryuu is oozing with a simmering passive-aggressiveness and threats of what may happen should Uryuu cross him or Ywach. It's a shame his conversation with his aide was cut because then, we'd have more comparison for how Haschwalth acts with Uryuu vs how he acts with others.
Also noticed too that they took out Cang’s line on how he’ll only be killed by his majesty. I think the approach works here in that Yhwach is asleep and Hashwalth has essentially taken his powers and role overnight so that bit of exposition was explained I suppose.
@MrGksarathy: I agree 100%. He's subtly threatening him, saying "There's nothing you can do to stop His Majesty. You're in on this with us completely, now."

Both Byakuya & Rukia faced enemies whose powers focused on projecting some form of dominance. Byakuya fought arrancar #7 Zommari Rureaux whose eyes allowed him to literally control those things once it was marked. And Rukia with As Nodt's eyes & fear. I also loved the anime changing up so the trials of the robot guy and Iron guy so they happened while Ywach was asleep (so Uryu saw it) they are really giving our Quincy a lot more screen time!! Also I know the design isn’t canon and is only in an anime filler but I would have loved if this episode had the anime design of “sode no shirayuki” behind her when Rukia had her Bankai active . Just a small swan song to show Rukia using her swords full power. I know just a wish list king of thing
The fight did Rukia justice and I'm glad we finally know that bg9 died in the judgement scene we can finally put all the Theorys to rest that said bg9 survived
I've been waiting for this moment for years and it's here finally, I loved it, it was amazing, Rukia's bankai is beautiful just like in the manga, I love Rukia so much and I'm so hyped for the next episode ❤
My only complaint is that all these major fights are not even a full episode long. They always happen towards the 2nd half of the episode and maybe it's just me but i was hoping they'd be extending the fights more to make them at least 2-3 episodes long like how old bleach and other Shonen use to be cuz after this that's its for majority of the side characters. Rukia and renji don't get to do anything else that much after this so i just wanted to see these characters that barely get any wins shine more for this final arc
Fights do not actually take that much of an episode's runtime as compared to a manga's page and panel count. Any longer, and this shit would drag out like old DBZ fights or filler fights back in the oughts.
@@MrGksarathyhahaha I wouldn't mind some fights being extended a little more but if I was rich man I'd pay Kubo and his crew to cook ...but not on the DBZ level 😅
@@MrGksarathy We just want them fleshed out, people are saying that they rather have two episodes of Gremmy vs Kenpachi bc we barely got to see what Gremmy could do and he was gone so fast
@@Marukanitel I actually think we saw more than enough of Gremmy's abilities, but Gremmy as a character did not exist outside that fight, which is a shame. I do want the Stërnritter fleshed out, believe me, but making the fight that much longer? I'm not sure, especially for that specific fight.
Cang Du's firm silence spoke loud to me without him saying a word. He was just defiant. But I guess if you didn't read the manga you would not know that he refuses to be killed by someone other than Yhwach. Same with As Nodt being scared to fail yhwach at the end of the episode. It does add character but it isn't the worst thing in the world since they have added a good amount of new stuff, rearranged some things, and are maintaining decent pace. Unrelated but I thought Ichigo launching down to the SS was the coolest ish. Ichigo is the naturally coolest, charismatic MC out of the big 3.
Now we know what the "time limit" was about. The shadow that jumped off of Yhwach when all the Quincy left after the Ichigo fight. I don't think that was ever talked about in the manga
Im going to theorize from what we got from As's flashback. Yhwach saying "you survived" plus the that large cut in his body when he transformed makes me believed the following: As is a survivor from the first war with the shinigamis a thousand years ago. He was hospitalized beacause a soul reaper cleaved almost his whole body open
Yes, they cut out the lines of Cang Du and BG9, but their execution was still brutal none the less. I'm curious of what Haschwalth said (which was was muted in the anime), that shocked Ishida. The new "fear" visuals were great, and a nice callback for Byakuya's scene in Cour 1. As Nodt's (un)holy form and it's abilities were well animated, and his voice actor did great job (giving me Kirito, Inosuke, and Betelgeuse vibes while listening). And we finally got Rukia's Bankai. Beautiful, simply just beautiful.

Best episode so far! But nxt episode gonna be insane too! Zaraki vs gremmy!! I can't wait for that. This new episode is giving me goosebumps like it's my first time watching bleach again despite of reading the manga a lot.
I pretty much love this episode except for the whole Sound track when Rukia activated her Bankai. It didn't feel like a Bleach sound track Moment. Where you would hear something as iconic as Ichigo's Number One or Aizen's Treachery which are closely if not absolutely tied to their characters and moments. Nope, Rukia just go some random soundtrack of the thousand year playlist. However the sound track, post Äs's defeat did fit perfectly, Elegant and Gentle. Hopefully it doesn't end up as one of Bleach's unreleased sound tracks.
Beautiful Episode. Especially when Ichigo left the palace. Hilarious moment. But the way this was animated especially when Nodt was Tormenting Rukia was abosolutely nuts. The VA and the CGI was creepy asf. But Rukia really shine in this episode she's beautfiul.
The animation, the parallels, the voice acting, and the chance of Gremmy vs Kenpachi being shown in this cour?! ALONG WITH THE ICE QUEEN RUKIA'S BANKAI?! Best episode of the cour. Last ep was great but BRUH. Byakuya was also there to talk with Rukia, and that shows the growth of Byakuya's character as well. 11/10, no contest. PS. As Nodt's VA killed it, and so did Rukia's VA PPS. Y'all know I had to say ice queen for Rukia😂
I think As Nodt having resemblance of Aaroniero both in their power up state really adds go rukias development as a fighter and is also. Wink from kubo and anime stuff as to how similarly mountain of flesh was animated
Anyone else notice that the people Rukia was terrified of losing were Ichigo, Orihime and Byakuya? This is partly why I usually bring up her and Renji's relationship being very underdeveloped. They don't really fight together, other than the flashback of their childhood get no real scenes of them spending time together. We barely get any development of their bond and in major moments of distress it's almost like Rukia completely forgets Renji exists but somehow they end up married lol.
@@MrGksarathy no, even in the Manga we really don't get very much in terms of development for them or scenes shared. I definitely don't buy into the "Kubo had everything planned out from the beginning" argument as Bleach definitely evolved and changed constantly(As did all Shonen)
@@grandadmiralzaarin4962 Kubo had most of the broad strokes planned out, even if a lot changed between those outlines and their final product. In any case, we get a fair bit between them in the Soul Society arc and Hueco Mundo as well.
@@MrGksarathy not really. The majority of Renji in the Soul Society arc is as an antagonist then focused on his rivalry with Ichigo and Byakuya. In the Hueco Mundo arc they're split up for the majority of said arc and the emotional moments are reserved for Byakuya, Ichigo and Rukia. The problem Kubo wrote himself into was that he didn't show mutual chemistry. It's always portrayed very much one way with the other party being either oblivious or uninterested. Then we get a time skil and suddenly boom, married with kids.
All those relationships should not had happened imo Just kept open. It was like Kubo said F' it let's just give the main characters a happy fairy tale ending. It was so weird. I didn't even know Soul Reapers could be married outside of leaving Soul Society. I guess for some fans it made them happy. For me, I just didn't get it

They made As Nodt even scarier somehow. Tatarforas is the stuff of nightmares
Amazing episode. Mommy Rukia Bankai with animation and music.
I really enjoyed the fight. Although I wish they added a rukia related ost for her bankai reveal. Side note Imran, your intro is so cute lol I love it
My only complaint is that all these major fights are not even a full episode long.
Amazing episode
Our girl rukia got her bankai finally animated.🤩
Fast but perfect
I loved this episode. TY for the video!
Now we know what the "time limit" was about. The shadow that jumped off of Yhwach when all the Quincy left after the Ichigo fight. I don't think that was ever talked about in the manga
Amazing
Im going to theorize from what we got from As's flashback. Yhwach saying "you survived" plus the that large cut in his body when he transformed makes me believed the following: As is a survivor from the first war with the shinigamis a thousand years ago. He was hospitalized beacause a soul reaper cleaved almost his whole body open
This episode had me feeling for As Nodt by the end of it and I can SURELY tell you that I wasn't expecting that
Yes, they cut out the lines of Cang Du and BG9, but their execution was still brutal none the less.
Beautiful, simply just beautiful.
the voice character of as nodt is so good 😭 same creepy vibes when petelgeuse introduce in re zero
also rukia's bankai is so beautiful
IT DID JUSTICE FOR THE MANGA 😭❤️
Senjumaru is one of the mvp of tybw just for the drip of Ichigo, Byakuya, Renji and Rukia
Yet again, Yet again I love it when you say so
this season is fire aND i LOVE EVERY BIT OF IT
WE FINSH APPTAZERS WAITING FOR THE REAL MEAL NEXT EPISODE
12 out of 10 epic ...yo gremmy incoming that will be insane
What peach scene are you referring to? Also the revealing shots of rukia's body wasn't even fanservice level.
Rukia's Bankai was BEAUTIFUL 😍😍
Yeah her bankai and gear 5 of luffy is both of them is white
@@i.t21b_alphonso_luis_vallejo Nah Luffy gear 5 was disappointing, too cartoonist and somehow doesn't fit with the current situation which is fighting serious opponent. The gear 5 did not break the internet like people claimed
Animation was amazing!! Big W for bleach! Rip anyone who wanted to know bg9’s power was.
I think it stands for the Knight
Ohhh I never thought about that. I would assume it’s the knowledge or the know
Why did u think that@@legomyego7711
this weeks episode was creepy. but yayyyy rukia
Hopefully it doesn't end up as one of Bleach's unreleased sound tracks.
thank god for letting kubo live long enough to supervise tybw anime
This episode is magnificent just like rukiya's banki
A truly masterpiece
The animation wasn't that fluid
Beautiful Episode. Especially when Ichigo left the palace. Hilarious moment.
But the way this was animated especially when Nodt was Tormenting Rukia was abosolutely nuts. The VA and the CGI was creepy asf.
But Rukia really shine in this episode she's beautfiul.
SEEING RUKIAS BANKAI HAD MY JAW IN HELL IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL 😭😭
I just love that chapter name, like none is more badass: *I AM THE EDGE*
The animation, the parallels, the voice acting, and the chance of Gremmy vs Kenpachi being shown in this cour?! ALONG WITH THE ICE QUEEN RUKIA'S BANKAI?! Best episode of the cour. Last ep was great but BRUH. Byakuya was also there to talk with Rukia, and that shows the growth of Byakuya's character as well. 11/10, no contest.
PS. As Nodt's VA killed it, and so did Rukia's VA
PPS. Y'all know I had to say ice queen for Rukia😂
Hearing As Nodt screaming was giving me Betelgeuse flashbacks
It's from that voice actor who dubbed even Inosuke of KnY 🎃🖤
I think As Nodt having resemblance of Aaroniero both in their power up state really adds go rukias development as a fighter and is also. Wink from kubo and anime stuff as to how similarly mountain of flesh was animated
Rukia's Bankai was so beautiful 😢
Anyone else notice that the people Rukia was terrified of losing were Ichigo, Orihime and Byakuya? This is partly why I usually bring up her and Renji's relationship being very underdeveloped. They don't really fight together, other than the flashback of their childhood get no real scenes of them spending time together. We barely get any development of their bond and in major moments of distress it's almost like Rukia completely forgets Renji exists but somehow they end up married lol.
I don't think that's particularly fair, at least in the context of the manga.
For me, I just didn't get it
Strong Silent Hill vibes, blues the F latter felt like a little call to the classic Creepshow
These kind of episodes are finale of many anime's arc. Cant believe we will have yet another powerful episode next week. I am really glad bleach came back the way it did.
Also rukia's bankai is the most beautiful transformation I've ever scene
So good
This was both brutal and beautiful.
I can’t begin to explain how hyped the bankai release scene made me, and the ending theme overlaid over it only made it better. I know that the ed is quincy themed, but Rukia really claimed it as hers
10/10 PEAK
Best episode of the Season hands down.
Rukias bankai was BEAUTIFUL
It's time to DRINK everybody we waited so long
Ji thirst will be quencht
