Hisagi's bankai I thought was revealed in CYFOW? His bankai from what I know is essentially immortality with him being able to link him and his opponent together with a chain and the chain is his actual zanpakuto rather than the scythe.

You forgot to mention the reason Renji isn't a captain even though the other captains were willing to endorse him not to mention that he already has a bankai is because he chose to remain Byakuya's lieutenant

Hisagis bankai is shown in can't fear your own world as well as an upgrade to his shikai. In shikai the power is actually the chains and as long as he has reiatsu any damage he takes will be healed through chains stitching him back together. Then his bankai is meant to be used on a more powerful opponent. It traps them both in a cage and puts nooses on them and drains their reiatsu to heal any damage they take. They remain trapped until they run out of reiatsu and collapse allowing his allies to come in and finish off an enemy that they otherwise wouldn't have been able to beat and then saving hisagi. Prolly one of the most useful bankais if utilized correctly as it essentially makes no single character unbeatable as long as hisagi has friends on standby
I'm hoping this is just an incorrect or incomplete application of his Banki like Renji's was initially. The Banki is sacrificial and although that's kinda how the wielder is, I'm just hoping for more lol
@@ndbryant9289 Actually I like his bankai the way it is since his bankai could bring every character to the brink of theath, meaning that to win a fight, he would always have to fight with someon he trusts to end the fight, which I feel is beautyfull. Also his shikai changed a bit, not physically but in how he is using it, since he understood that his zanpakuto was not about the two blades but about the chain inbitween.

He might be the most well-rounded lieutenant front attaining bankai, kido,leadership, strategic and observation skills. When Aizen left with Gin and Tousen, he held down his squad perfectly until a replacement came. Well kira is good too
I think Kira should get the same treatment as Hisagi, and grow in strength. He's always been one of the coolest lieutenants, and his bankai would probably be quite OP (probably gravity manipulation).
not every character is supposed to have a Bankai. It's supposed to be once a generation type of an achievement... it became a Oprah show and everybody got a Bankai!

I don't know an Anime verse with more potential, the original story is fire, the the introduction of Burn the Witch just made me want 20+ volumes immediately the the 10yr jump and all of this. The verse could go on for decades
You are really overhyping it, the original had a lot of lows. The repeating of the same plotpoints over and over, the manga of the last arc was pretty bad, The anime fixes it though. Then we had the last arc of the original anime. Bleach is mostly going for cool for the sake of being cool. The only true well written arc was soul society, looking at objective factors at least. Hueco Mundo was just soul society 2.0 for example.

I could never enjoy Hueco Mundo or the arrancars as much without the build up, and they're my favourite parts of the world he built.
Nemu was created by Mayuri as a child and she grows up before Mayuri took her as her lieutenant. The same thing with the 'new Nemu', she will grow up as well.

Had this been the case, Shinji, Kensie and Rose would've died during the Blood War, yet they're still here. Instead, Unohana died and Komamura turned into a wolf. The only reason we didn't lose Hitsugaya and Byakuya was that Kubo got cold feet after being threatenend.
A word on "mastering" bankai: only Yamamoto has been shown to actually be a past master at being in total control of his bankai. The only other person seems to be Urahara. Kurotsuchi just breaks and drugs his bankai, to keep it under control. Byakuya said it takes ten years--but I would argue it's been 100 years and he still hasn't mastered his bankai. You've never seen Yama's or Urahara's bankai "stolen", have you?😂
Yhwach outright stated only he could handle Yamamoto's Bankai. He stole it during the war. Also it's heavily implied Urahara modified his Bankai over the years just like Mayuri. By the point he actually uses it onscreen, there's no reason to even steal it anymore.
the central 46 appointed Kyoraku... not Yamamoto. it's not a hereditary passed down from this person to that person based on who they want to be head captain. the central 46 pick and then vote amongst themselves to decide who would replace Yamamoto. they voted for Kyoraku 9:46 I don't think Lisa's shikai turns her sword into a scabbard... cause the scabbard is a sheath with built in wooden parts to make it more rigid and durable... her shikai turns her sword and it's scabbard into a pole arm.
Can we point out how Ikakku and Yumichika got wrecked, and Kenpachi was poof, but Yachiru gets "wobbly", and Kenoachi bursts onto the scene? Just feels like Kenpachi wouldn't care that little... At least about Ikakku lul

If Rukia achieved true bankai, she actually became the full counter to the likes of yamamoto. Flames literally cant form at that temperature, and temperatures at absolute zero normally exist in a vacuum which flames also cant form within. I know his flames were not real fire, but it's also been shown to us that Rukia herself has to temporarily kill her body to even use her powers....an ability that yama just never had.

A word on "mastering" bankai: only Yamamoto has been shown to actually be a past master at being in total control of his bankai. The only other person seems to be Urahara. Kurotsuchi just breaks and drugs his bankai, to keep it under control. Byakuya said it takes ten years--but I would argue it's been 100 years and he still hasn't mastered his bankai.

If Rukia achieved true bankai, she actually became the full counter to the likes of yamamoto. Flames literally cant form at that temperature, and temperatures at absolute zero normally exist in a vacuum which flames also cant form within. I know his flames were not real fire, but it's also been shown to us that Rukia herself has to temporarily kill her body to even use her powers....an ability that yama just never had.
