"Dog and Butterfly" and then "Dreamboat Annie" are so of the in the moment for them. "Dreamboat Annie" is a short, sweet ballad that both Ann and Nancy get to show out on. The live performance from the 70's is the best for that one. They always used "Dreamboat Annie" as the intro of "Crazy on You".

I'm 52, so it might be a surprise to the younger people that this is old music to me, and these women are still an inspiration to me. I was 9 years old when they did this. The entire band was awesome (not just the Wilson sisters). This song definitely stands the test of time. It became one of my favorites when it was an oldie when I was in high school in 1985 or so. It reamsin one of my favorites today.

Yes saw them and an outdoor concert back in the eighties and even though I passed out in the mud for Thoroughgood I woke up to Nancey playing above me on the stage Barracuda and she was kicking her leg at me while she was in between guitar riffs and pointing out beer tickets on the ground next to me....fell in love with her that day.

I remember when this song came out. It was all the rage. This was one of the first rock groups featuring girls, to kick it with the big boys, making a name in the rock world. Thank you for playing this. It's a timeless song, that still sounds great today. Ann, the lead singer, had that great rock/blues edge to her voice, while her sister, Nancy was more soft spoken. Nancy preferred being a up vocalist. Her joy came from playing her guitar with the band. Nancy did an excellent guitar solo on one of your other video reactions, called "Crazy On You". A very talented sister team, They still sound great today.

Heart is an American rock band formed in 1970 in Seattle, Washington by Steve Fossen (bass guitar), Roger Fisher (guitar), David Belzer (keyboards), and Jeff Johnson (drums). It evolved from an existing band, White Heart. Since 1973 the vocalists for Heart have been sisters Ann Wilson (lead vocals, flute, guitar) (born June 19, 1950) and Nancy Wilson (vocals, guitar, mandolin) (born March 16, 1954). Over Heart's history, it has had three primary lineups.
Heart first found success when its members moved to Canada, in part to avoid the draft, then later in the United States, and ultimately worldwide. Heart rose to fame in the mid-1970s with music influenced by hard rock and heavy metal, as well as folk music. The band's popularity declined in the early 1980s, but they launched a successful comeback in 1985 which continued into the 1990s, releasing numerous hard-rock songs and ballads. Heart disbanded in 1998, then resumed performing in 2002. In the summer of 2019, Heart ended their 2016 acrimonious break-up by launching their "Love Alive" tour.
To date, Heart has sold over 35 million records worldwide, including over 22.5 million in album sales in the U.S. They have had top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2010s. Heart was ranked number 57 on VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock". In 2006, Ann Wilson was listed as one of the "Top Heavy Metal Vocalists of All Time" by Hit Parader magazine. In 2013, Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I have a Heart recommended that's a bit unusual, but you won't regret it. Go listen to them perform the song NO ONE should cover, and everyone does anyway... STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN. They did it for a Kennedy Center Honors for Led Zeppelin, right to their faces. Now this is a song that's been mangled so badly by so many amateurs, the guys in that band allegedly never want to personally hear it covered. Then the Wilson sisters get up there and put on a performance so epic, you can see shots of Robert Plant by the end LITERALLY crying with joy.
