  • This is my first VR4. Do check out the condition of the car and let me know in comments how much it's worth?
The Autozone part number for steering wheel cover is - "98026-PEDI". Enter this part number and search, you should find it. This wheel cover greatly matches the interior of the car and looks almost OEM.

I would keep it stock and just stay on top of all the maintenance for reliability. Only thing I’d change is the wheels as they can be put back on in 20-30 minutes and it won’t effect the value. Stock is king! Amazing car, congratulations!

I couldn't agree more. I just changed the wheels and plan to lower it, and keep up with maintenance... I don't plan to do anything else and keep it stock as far as possible. Considering the age of this car, good maintenance is the best therapy for this car. I have a 95 base which should be back form the shop after a year long rebuild.. that I would play around with :)

I replaced the hood Heat Shield on my '91 VR4 and it wasn't a difficult job at all. Took the old one off no issues. Only about 14 clips or so holding that thing up there (can't remember the exact number). I went ahead and bought new clips at the same time as well. Nice car you have :)

I made a small mistake while replacing the heat shield. I put the new one top of the old one.. it it has become too thick and unable to put to intercooler heat shield on. The clips are unable to hold all three… one of these days I will remove the old one and put back the intercooler heat shield.

Beauty. I just bought a 1991 300zx tt with 50k miles, literally looks straight off the lot. Took me months to find one completely stock in that condition. Always garage kept and barely driven past 20yrs, basically once a month around the block. Only issues are with the radio/cd player and by age needs timing belt and some other maintenance items, which is not a cheap service, around 3k alone. Passed pre inspection with flying colors and picked up out of state. Originally listed for 34.5k but was able to get it down to 24k. I am going to do the 120k mile service and replace a lot of rubber hoses, gaskets and all fluids to get as dialed in a possible. Probably 4-5k total. I am only going to do mods that can be switched back to stock like wheels, led lights, touch screen radio etc in case I sell down the road. This was my favorite car in high school so may just keep forever

Not sure what these go for in the US, but here in Europe, it isn't uncommon to pay around 30k€ for one. This particular one looks in great shape from both the outside and inside apart from the few plastic pieces being a bit worse for wear and the engine bay being a bit messy. I wouldn't be surprised to see a price in that range - meaning around about 35k USD. Anyways, great car! Congrats, man.

My mom helped me buy my first car when I was in 11th grade. A 1992 Mitsubishi 3000gt vr4 black brand new. I don't quite remember what we paid for it. All I know is I paid my mother $500 a month to cover the car payment and the insurance.
Now with that being said I honestly can't tell you what we paid for it without looking through the cars service records folder. But what I will tell you is 31 years later I'm still driving this car and just a few months ago in Brooklyn NY I was offered 30k cash for my car. But like a dope I turned it down because my mom got me that car and she died 6 years after getting me that car. But that 30k was tempting. My car just got to 90k miles. So I'm guessing that you paid around 25k?

I want to put them on my 95 base which has the ugly manual climate control. I was able to get them out including the sensor on the passenger side vent... But I drive my 95 in the exactly opposite way, I push it a lot and love to hear the loud exhaust in it. It does turn heads when I start it up.. lowering that car is technically one of the worst things to do, it will not drive that well anymore and hit the ground in some places and then rust away from the bottom. all original stock is best for a 3000GT, they're best as they originally came from factory.
