I'm well aware that there are watches with excellent luminous paint out there, but if you are either working night shifts/in dark environments or are into night life/clubbing I'd absolutely recommend a watch with an active backlight. Examples are digital watches (Casio with for example the "Royale" somes to mind but there's obviously more) with leds or electroluminescent backlights or also analog watches with the same feature (Timex for example with "Afterglow", but there are also a bunch of solid Chinese sport watches with that feature).
Amazon is also a great reference. Specs about almost all watches are laid out logically. Can't find something you need to know about a watch you're looking at on eBay? Just type the model # into the Amazon search and there you have the case size or whatever even if it's not in stock.

From my experience, the best Amazon watch purchases I've made are Casios. I must have bought ten of them off Amazon, and I never had any problems. Seikos were more miss than hit, with half of them not getting checked for quality control problems.

I am exactly as short and weigh as much as you do, so whatever looks good on you will most likely look good on me too!

Not that it makes the watch any better, but this watch has been featured on the wrist of Bill Gates. Goes to show a guy with one of the largest fortunes in history can have quite an eye for good value.

But I spoke to their head designer a while back and learned about how they reworked the waist band and came up with a few new materials. Underwear is far more inportant than fancy cars etc. The rule is to change for clean garments everyday and not to turn them inside out when they are soiled and looking like a colander... ha ha ha

If you don't mind the "Royal Oak homage" stigma, it's a very fine watch.
You should really look at Phoibos, great watches for the price, over machined.
