Honestly the hardest parts are not speeding and gas/petrol prices. I'm testing a Stratified tune. On a good week I get 18 mpg (Premium is $5.09 where I live today). Great fun for a daily and I drive the hell out of it.
Actually Focus passed the test much better than VW it’s just shortened springs that limited suspension travel and higher rollers that F it up. Rear wheel was basically in the air

@@ukuskota4106 Haldex V is up to 3500 Nm. Unfortunately I don't the limits of Hyundai clutch-packs, they are also electro-hydraulic so can be similar. Toyota and Mazda are using the same clutch-packs, they have lower limits.

Interesting result for the Focus. Is that the stock suspension? Seems like the suspension travel is too short. Maybe you could put something below the tires. That is more like a suspension than drivetrain test.
Thanks! We didn't try the last test on 3 rollers cause car was already slipping on pavement and sliding off the rollers. Maybe we will repeat the test on summer tyres.

PS. czy napęd 4x4 od VW w mniej sportowych wersjach silnikowych czym się różni od tego z Gofra R czy Audi S3/RS3? nie pytam o Forda bo napęd 4x4 jest tylko w RS. A odnośnie Foki, to widać że albo opony nie wyrabiają albo za wysokie najazdy, bo tylne koła się kręcą mimo że nie ma rolek, tak jak by gumy nie mogły złapać przyczepności (może ma za mały prześwit i koło ledwo co dotykało ziemi).
Sportowe wersje mają agresywniejszy soft dla haldexa, z tego co pamiętam, to była wzmianka o tym na stronach Audi. Co do Focusa - sztywne zawieszenie, zimowa opona, kostka i jeszcze koło stał na białej linii - dlatego tak mielił, na letnich pewnie byłoby łatwiej.
I guess that Golf R don't have stock suspension on it (it's much lower than RS) which gives him lower center of gravity and better traction at rear wheel. It you watch RS it have very high rear end.

Ford had it left rear tyre on the white line which is always much more slippery than regular surface. I bet it'd handle the task if it had a regular surface.
Not really. The open diff in the back kills the Haldex system. Even electronically controlling the brakes to simulate an electronica LSD is not doing well with for motion and Quattro systems. I own both for motion and Quattro Haldex systems. 2019 and 2020

Na przedniej osi jest otwarty dyfer, więc działa standardowa kontrola trakcji. Na tylnej osi każde koło napędzane jest niezależnie sprzęgłem, więc kontrola trakcji poprzez układ hamulcowy nie ma zastosowania. Terenówka z blokadami dyfrów przechodzi taki test dużo łatwiej.

New crossovers fail in these tests badly and awd hatchbacks like these do just fine. Yet people keep buying more and more of those wobly, cheap, ugly pieces of crap... so sad.
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers Some NEW crossovers sure, especialy plug in hybrids, but these cars are 5 years old already. Looking back at Qashqai, ASX, X3, etc. from that era they didnt do as well. My point is that people with basic to no knowledge usually own such a crossovers. But they never realize that those cars are more prone to flipping due to higher center of gravity, because of that also dont turn as well, they are barely more practical since mostly they are just on lifted hatchback chassis and to make them look bigger they have bigger panels and bumpers resulting in heavier car which increases fuel economy. They are also powered by the same engines that manufacturer puts in hatchbacks.

I never made a list but I would say that overall 50% of gas suvs pass all tests, and if we look at last 5-6 years - that will be more. Flipping is not an issue as all of these cars are equipped with ESP. Some SUV/crossovers are even more stable in mosse tests than hatchbacks or sedans.
Both are pathetic with all these drive modes which do not do much. At least in this test. Does the Golf R use the Haldex? If so Volvo implementation is so much better constantly showing it's capability in this test.
These modes change a lot during driving, especially in Focus RS, complete change of characteristics from fwd to rwd. Golf R uses haldex, however the newest one (2021) gets the same type of awd system as Focus RS. In these tests both cars had problems with grip, not with power distribution.

Yes, we noticed that after the test. But it was also spinning the wheel on the clear pavement during diagonal test, probably due to winter tyres.

Focus ma strasznie sztywne zawieszenie. Tylne koo też lubi się oderwać w zakręcie. Mam ST mk3 gti 7 nie ma staru do foki

Lower center of gravity doesn't change a weight. Actually it is making things worse cause wheels are going up when car is lifted on rollers.

Yes! The VW made it off the rollers on the last test! It WON!
Result is basically the same. Both cars had problems with grip, not with power distribution. AWD system in RS is much more advanced than in Golf.

Ford ma bardziej zaawansowany układ AWD. Dopiero najnowszy Golf R ma taki rodzaj układu, jak Focus RS.
