Got my White Samurai SRPE37 yesterday. It's gorgeous, wore it to the grocery store and got looks. It will also complement my Gunmetal Samurai SRPB55 that's in my collection.
Great review as always 👍 I just purchased the Manta,it out wears my CFB Bucherer Patravi Scuba Tec any day. The Manta dial is fantastic! I had a luck of the draw apparently,my bezel alignment is perfect and crown is acceptable.
King Samurai...! I have the white face one you have here, love it on a DiModell Jumbo waterproof leather band... Not a fan of the Seiko rubber strap (it is very comfortable however) unless I was actually using it for diving....
The other watch to consider also is the Monster however I would spend a little bit extra to get the older 2017/18 62mas re issue with the beautiful finishing and upgraded movement.
Tried on both and was impressed with the improvements, although I would change out the crystal on the turtle asap for a dommed saphire with no date blob - its just too big and looks stuck on. The White King Samurai was hard to resist that and the new ish 025 turtle - the blue-black sunburst dial is amazing - I would rather just mod that TBH and could do that for the same $ as a king. After looking at everything from an MM200 down (not new reduced OMG I love the Green special edition) I ended up buying a 3rd gen Sumo for a tad more than the Kings. As good as these updates are I prefer the Sumo case, level of finish and 70hr movt. Still would love that white King Samuari though for everyday/sports wear and am starting to hunt for a deal on one....Thanks for another great video Bruce

I went into a jewellers looking for a monster and tried on a turtle and it was the most comfortable watch I’ve ever had against my wrist. I also looked at the seiko 5 sports and the dials felt so small. The Seiko bracelet felt strange to say the least
Is there a lot of play between clicks on the bezel on the king turtle? both these watches look like JDM models? I tried an international king turtle manta Ray today, and there was quite a bit of play in between clicks

Both watches are cool, but too big. Just down want a hog on my wrist. The black manta ray’s are silly, wish they weren’t on the dial. Samuari dial looks more timeless to me.

Bruce I just received my SRPE39 Manta Ray turtle 🐢 today . I’m amazed by this dial . Sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel is a huge plus 👍🏻

This is the best Seiko Turtle collection I've ever seen. Very tasteful and interesting. The Seiko Samurai is an interesting addition here.
I like King Turtle better! More comfortable to wear, and generally looks better over all!

Love that degradé wavy blue dial with the manta-rays on the King Turtle! The best dial I’ve seen yet on a relatively affordable Seiko.
I’m not one for over the top dials or limited editions but that dial is sublime .
got the 37J model on line from creation watches recently ,guess what !the serial number has my DOB on the case back .unbelieve able.
The latest green Sumo SPB103 is my favorite Seiko by far!
Got the JDM King Turtle (SBDY063), love it!

Watches are more than movements. You have to consider hands,dial, case finish,etc. You can find valjoux 7750 in a sub $1000 watch to $40,000.

I got my srpe37 regulated at local thong Sia service center and it’s accuracy beats my Tudor chrono movement
