Nice review, I have and love this watch. It was my graduation present after finishing a degree in Marine Biology, so very fitting. Slight correction, the bezel is uni-directional, not bi-directional as stated. Cheers
The dial is beautiful. My srpf77 alignment is perfect. It looks stunning! This Seiko is a real upgrade from my other 3 Seikos. They each have their place. Seikonisbmy favorite brand because of the history, reliability and design.
Just waiting on my watch from USA but j model I collect seiko only I know it’s been with me all my life from childhood anyhow also ordered the strap code super o bayer it latest one with the clasp like the bezel teeth note to self STOP BUYING WATCHES

You're correct, it's definitely a uni-directional bezel. I've been spending too much time with GMTs.
I got the dark manta made in Japan under the 6 & back everything lines up ⬆️
