Man you've got great taste. All the watches you review are fantastic pieces that I absolutely drool over. I love my turtle. I had that vibrant blue "save the ocean" model you talked about and I put it on a StrapCode oyster. The problem I had with it was that on steel, the 45mm head is too floppy. You then microadjust to be tight so the head doesn't flop and then it cuts off your circulation when your wrist swells. Turtles have got to be on rubber 100%. The blue was too bright so I sold it on eBay. I then went and bought an SRP775 and modded it with a chunky WatchGecko rubber deployant and a burgundy bezel and it wears like a dream. The rubber holds it in place but has enough of a pinky-finger gap that it's not a problem if my wrist swells. Anyway I recommend you don't get an aftermarket steel bracelet for this especially with 6.5" wrists. Leave it on that strap, or get a chunky rubber deployant. Recommend the WatchGecko ZULUDIVER one i have. Just looking at their site - the "ZULUDIVER 400 (MKII) Italian Rubber Divers Watch Strap - Dark Blue - Brushed Buckle" would go perfectly.
So far I'm really enjoying it on the rubber, quite comfortable for a big and chunky watch. The case of the turtles are just something else, they have a special charm that I couldn't resist.
I appreciate your excitement for this watch, and it was more or less how I felt seeing it for the first time as well. I owned one for almost a year and really tried to keep it but mine lost 45 seconds a day, got serviced by Seiko and came back running -100 spd. I cracked it open myself afterwards and regulated to +10 spd. In the end, other things started bothering me including the strap that never seemed to dry out after getting it wet, the metal keeper that slid around and came undone easily, and watch head that always felt heavier than it needed to be. If the Turtle came in a 40-42 mm case and still kept the 4 o'clock crown, I'd have another go at it. At this point, this is a watch I'm happy to appreciate on the internet and not on my wrist.
I love this watch! I was very tempted and like you, I also have a 6.5" wrist. I'm very intimidated by the size, so I bought the Green Mini Turtle instead. Still tempted by this one though! Good review! Thanks!
What a fantastic watch review. Love the background music. It's like old Watchfinder talking hands has returned. Calm, detailed and cool. Keep up the great work.
Mine arrived today purchased from Linda and Co. for $529. Really nice looking watch. And after three Citizen watches the 120 click bezel is pure divers watch porn ( for want of a better description). Everything lines up too. The dial is amazing and can be so many different shades depending on lighting. The band is nice, but the buckle is too big and can be uncomfortable as it digs in when typing on a keyboard - thinking of swapping to a NATO. On my 7 inch wrist it looks bloody perfect and is very comfortable. All in all an excellent piece of kit. This one will be staying on my wrist.
I dont think it looks too big on the wrist. Looks just fine to me. Mine arrives tomorrow. For $370 new, i don't think it can go wrong, even if there are alignment issues.

I see where you're coming from. It does feel a little heavy on the wrist, and the size is definitely quite large.
I put mine on a bracelet and it helps to balance the weight, it is a large watch. I have both Manta editions and enjoy both on the bracelet.
One of the most beautiful dial on any watch ever. The texture on the dial needs to be admired up close. It's beautiful.
I purchased it in December 2023 in delhi . Loving it and enjoying it .
Kitne mai kharida after discount?
Great review! I just receive mine yesterday. Awesome watch 🙂
I've always been a fan of the turtle line

They're great value for money. I've been enjoying mine a lot recently.
Wow amazing price. Is this still available for that price anywhere please?
Confused between dark manta turtle and dark manta samurai
It looks good on you enjoy it.
Beautiful watch
thank you. this is top view!)
Approved its an actual Seiko😂
Nice watch review. Just received mine and the bezel is misaligned 😢
That is unfortunate. I hope Seiko can fix these issues soon, it shouldn't be happening at all really.
I love mine but it just came in a generic Seiko box wth
Thats odd. Was it from an AD?
@@welcomewrist it was ordered through Macy’s
