Hello ,question for you ,is there any way that you can do hideaway door hinges, those stick out like a sore thumb,I could see it when painted.just asking.
That is a lot of work! Then I think you have to duplicate it on the other side 😢. Can you put a coat of primer on the fender to help see how it blends in?
Jamie, can tell your music choices are well rounded. I like the variety and perfect picks for the scenes. Don't listen to people who only listen to one type of music. Do you! IAN picked a winner with you. Thanks again.
I thought it was just me, but the music choice is spot on! I have gained a new appreciation for classical music, and I'll be playing more of it. Thanks, Jamie!!! I love watching you grow into your new role. Exciting!!
The more I see of the piece by piece construction on this, the more respect I have for the process... you must really love what you do because only someone that loves what they're doing can work that hard... much love, much respect... You ROCK!!!
yeah really a great combo those two, love the collabs any way man, two people stretching each others talents and boundaries and creating a coherent one of one is just great to watch.
Love Ian’s vids and a huge fan of his work but this is my least favorite music he’s had so far. He’s a punker, so play that, rock, metal, rockabilly, ska, or rockin big band stuff.
Spec effen tacular! What a transformation. Maestro soundtrack for a maestro artist. Kudos to Jamie for the tight camera work and great soundtrack. Keep doing those Ian and Jamie things.
Ian, nowdays we have a lot of fabricators. Texas Metal on and on. You! You are 1 of 1! Unique ! Artist ETC comes to mind. Don't go changing. Do YOUR thing. Really nice
A nice fluid curve in your fender….Victor does have a keen eye for what he likes. Both of you work well together. Love your work…The videos are superb Jamie!
Wow I am amazed on how much the fender looks better, at first I was skeptical on how it would look until after it was done now I can see the flow much better. 👍
I just found your RUclips channel. I loved and learned so much from your tv shows. I don't know why I didn't search for you much earlier but so glad you have this channel. Now I have a lot of videos to watch to get cought up. Thank you Ian and Jamie.
didn't think that this car could become thing of such a beauty, especially the door ( they were so cut up that there was not much left !)......but OMG, Ian is metalworking magician ! Love it, love it, love it!!!
❤❤❤ Well done guys, team work makes the dream work ! Ian you are a lot healthier, focused and rested…whatever you are doing keep doin it like you’ve been doin it, like you’ve been doin it. Very good to see you better Ian. Behind every good man is a great lady ❤❤❤
My son, in his 50's is a fabricator on Vanagons. Fusing kit suspension upgrades to old rigs. While he bids a job at a day's labor - most times he'll have spent a week making the new pieces look as if they were factory installed. PATIENCE and total lack of frustration are the two top tools a successful fabricator must have. I see a lot of similarities in your approaches to your craft. Thank you for demonstrating the ACTUAL time to make it all look so easy. CJ-DJ your editing is TOP DRAWER on this one! TIP TOP.
When Ian was welding the lower part of the fender it sounded kink of like Walt Disney's Fantasia playing. Maybe... Also, since the line on the back of the fender has changed the back of the headlight pods still match the old fender line. I liked the separate headlights but now maybe smooth them in kind of like the mid-50 MG TF. Just a thought. Looking GOOD!!!
Hi Ian, when you butt weld as shown on the top of the front fender modification. What happens to the waste on the under side that looks as it may be reattached to the weld. Is it just ground off from the underside or left inside under the fender. Love your 👍 work and this is so much better than the glossy full customs era. Cheers Alan
+I have been a follower of yours for years. I am glad to see you got the new shop, fantastic. no visitors,,,, guess I will have to take that visit off my bucket list.
Yeah! I gotta say also, I like that guy! He got that eyeball!! I thought it looked perfect the way it was. I forgot he mentioned the fender work? It’s just getting more smoother! The real treasure is,you being able to make his enchanted visions come to life exactly the way he envisioned it! You nailed it! or should I say, You weld it! 👌🏻 Good stuff as always! 🖐🏼Jamie
What a team. Victoria has always had his eye and he has helped the learning process and you had the solution. I had a supervisor that would toss the challenge to me and I got solutions and that was running a 1600 watt metal cutting laser. His gauntlet to me was the challenge to cleanly cut 3/16”titanium. 1/2 hour I revealed my proof. Congratulations to all and I’m enjoying your shows.
A sheetmetal practice I watched artisans do many times during my years in stainless steel machine building - and that is how they 'plannish' a tack, while it is hot - directly after welding and usually with a dolly under the two sheets to be joined flush. The hammer comes down on the red hot tack and pulls the two edges perfectly flush. And for lapped tacking exactly the same process - closes the gap entirely in one tap with a flat hammer.
Yes a nice smooth clean line blending into the classic style. Paint job after the finishing is completed will really create a first class winner. Can’t wait to see the finished auto artwork.
Great Ian. Watching in Wainfleet Lincolnshire England 12.15 Saturday 20th October. I enjoy the music clips they are enjoyable and great choices. Well done and thanks for the entertainment 😊

That is a lot of work! Then I think you have to duplicate it on the other side 😢.
Can you put a coat of primer on the fender to help see how it blends in?
I can't hardly wait until u 2 put out a video. But what I like best. Is to save up a couple of videos and then watch them.
Jamie, can tell your music choices are well rounded. I like the variety and perfect picks for the scenes. Don't listen to people who only listen to one type of music. Do you! IAN picked a winner with you. Thanks again.
music choice is great do you have and good system to listen to it in the shop and home ?
I thought it was just me, but the music choice is spot on! I have gained a new appreciation for classical music, and I'll be playing more of it. Thanks, Jamie!!! I love watching you grow into your new role. Exciting!!
Said it before , you make working with metal , looks so easy , it’s a sign of a true craftsman
The more I see of the piece by piece construction on this, the more respect I have for the process... you must really love what you do because only someone that loves what they're doing can work that hard... much love, much respect... You ROCK!!!

Mig Welds are very hard, and can't be plannished like Tig or Gas Welds.
BRILIANT
Just love that background music he is the master on the metal
Yes a nice smooth clean line blending into the classic style. Paint job after the finishing is completed will really create a first class winner. Can’t wait to see the finished auto artwork.
Good job! 😊
Well done with the strings concerto as background. When building our race road bikes, we play opera from time to time
