      Preston here... Between Mark and I, there are multiple college degrees held and we were recently discussing how much we don't miss the assignments. We're not saying that you should be avoiding your work, but we definitely don't blame you either! Thanks for taking time out of your day to check the content!
      Good luck with your schoolwork... It'll pay off for you in the longterm.

    Very accurate, I've now fitted fox 40 to my Kenevo, and with the vivid air 230x65mm I now have the
    bike completely balanced, take into account I'm 29er up front.

    I’m sure it’ll sound like trolling, but that’s not what I’m trying to do.
    It’s an extremely long video with lots of misleading info.
    Why were you comparing the Fox 32 SC with the standard 35mm stanchions RS SID?
    The direct competition to Fox 32 SC would be the RS SID SL w/ 32mm stanchions.
    Since when Fox 34 and RS Pike is a Downcountry fork. Even on their website it’s categorized as a Trail fork.
    The Downcountry forks would be the Fox 34 SC and the RS SID w/ 35mm stanchions.

    At the top end, both Fox and Rockshox are way more than I "need", more about "want". I have a Marzocchi Z1 on my son's bike and that's all the fork he needs (got the frame from Jenson last year). Burly enough and you just set it and forget it. I tried a the 38 and found it way more fork for what I ride. Ended up with a DVO Onyx and love it.

    • @jensonusabicycles
      @jensonusabicycles  Год назад

      Preston here... I hear you on that! I haven't had a chance to ride a Marzocchi yet, but I do have a 38 on my Megatower V2 and it's absolutely a beast of a fork in every way. DVO looks to make a ton of high quality products so it sounds like you won either way! Thanks for the comment and we appreciate you buying the frame from us.
      Side note, we just got a ton of current MY Fox 36 forks that you might want to browse our site a little deeper for... For the RIDICULOUSLY low price they're currently at, I'm tempted to get one myself.

    Maybe they changed it for 2023 but my 2022 Fox 34 came adjustable from 130 to 150mm. I opted for the 150mm and it handles great downhill though the climbs are trickier now.

    wow for me im fox guy the decision to buy a new fork was the price. I ha ve a fox 36 rc2 in my 2018 capra i loved this fork, but id like to buy a new bigger stiffer more sensitive fork a new 38. In europe the price is about 1400 euro maybe 1200 if you are lucky, and then rs introduce the 2023 zeb with lots of new tech and i bought a rs zeb ultimate 180mm travel for 745 euro damn brand new, and its a dream.

      I've personally dealt with both for warranties for different things that I've owned in the past and was pleased about the end result of both. In this day and age, customer service is a must and I think they've both been pushing hard to handle it. Fox's CS is easier to reach out to and they jumped through hoops to get me up and running, SRAM/Rockshox requires you to go through a dealer for warranty request, but they respond quickly and will get you on your way. Can't go wrong either way that you choose!

    I am sorry but this guy doesn't sound that well educated on these products. He misspoke at least a half dozen times on features and options like the floating axle... has nothing to do with the way you ride and everything to do with perfect axle width fit to fork. Plus, the Fox 34 is available in travel range from 120 all the way up to 160.

    Say "mass" instead of "weight" when referencing the unit gram/kilogram. Weight and Mass are not the same thing. Why does something weigh less on the Moon than on Earth? Right, because the gravity is different. Weight, therefore, is the product of mass and gravity and has the unit of a Newton (= kg meter per second squared). Weight is a force. Weight multiplied by distance = torque = Newton Meter NOT Kilogram Meter which would be the case if kilogram was a unit of weight. Welcome to the 21st Century if this is new information to you.

      that kashima advertisement is so funny ahah :D people still believe it is more smooth that other stuff

    • @jensonusabicycles
      @jensonusabicycles  Год назад

      @@ostankovalex1176 We actually weren't trying to advertise it. The friction benefits of Kashima are quite small. The biggest benefit is its hardness which means it will take longer for it to wear out from the seals sliding over it. However, a well-maintained Performance Elite will perform as well as a Kashima fork and won't wear out any faster unless a rider fails to maintain good lubrication and clean seals.

    • @ostankovalex1176
      @ostankovalex1176 Год назад

      @@jensonusabicycles generally, that's a plus and a minus - for example... you won't get a scratch, but the part of Kashima coating just falls off due to flex of aluminium. usually, all anodizing is pretty stiff
      and as for wearing out - this mainly occurs due to the lack of proper maintenance. otherwise its the point to warranty your fork
