I changed my sid 32 sl with problems with the lockout, to a 34 sc, the sid was incredibly soft on small bumps and with the 34 sc I am not happy from the beginning, I notice the over-damped fork and poor initial sensitivity, although on certain occasions 34 sc changes during the ride and feels really good, I'm not sure if the problem is in the fit4, but if the problem with the cartridge and bushings was solved I think these new sids could be a better option to find that sensitivity that I don't get in the fox.

i just installed one of the 110mm SID SLs on my mtb no. 4, i like the light weight and firm yet smooth dampering. i have 4 hardtail mtbs, one with Fox Factory 21 and one with DT Swiss F232 one, my personal preference is DT Swiss F232 one as it's got soft dampering, moderate firmness plus light weight.

I wonder what fox will bring to the table once they release a new 34 stepcast, I ride the 2022 version and its blown me away, much better then the 2021 pike ultimate I replaced tbh. The new SID 35 forks seem pretty much the same as before but they fixed the bushing problem which is great, I also like the look of the wider stanchions but I don't know if its just me but I hate the look of the new crown machining, maybe it looks better in real life

Crown doesn't look that bad but it's accetuated by the blue color which is awesome but I would buy the black 🙂 Fox eems to be working on a reverse crown fork for XC from the few spy shots I've seen this summer. I don't know wbout that, I usually don't like reverse crown forks. At all.

"The SID SL Ultimate (D1) has a maximum tire width of 60 mm, which corresponds to about a 2.3" tire. It will be best to mount the new tires on your Kovee wheels, then measure the setup once installed in the fork to make sure the necessary clearance is available.

Maybe the 2024 SID Select is more reliable with the Charger damper. RaceDay damper uses very little oil volume and might be too much of a comprise to get as light as possible.
