How do you not have a tv show??? Somebody needs to get you contracted for a show TODAY! This is SO helpful! I love the expression re-set! I'm a therapist and trained in hypnotherapy and I study people's faces when they are in the mental places I ask them to go and the expression is key to ensuring they are in a safe place--it make SO MUCH SENSE to do this in photography!! You are amazing!

You are adorable! And I mean your personality. :) I love your energy. I love the outtakes. You come off as a strong, confident woman and that's the best part. Actually, the best part is that you're helping others look their best so that they can feel confident and it's all about enjoying and flattering your body. Not changing or hating it. Thank you!

I've been an actor for 30 yearts, and your tips are fresh! I am definitely going to use the reset (look down, breathe, think of a friend, look up) and the angle look but returning eyes front! (One also gets more white in the eyes that way! However, I have yet to master the cool confident look. When I thought of the party, my little niece singining, and I looked up -- ok, yeah, I was crying. LOL

FINALLY!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I'm a 50 year old psychologist who has hated how I look in non-candid photos my entire life and wished for the secrets of how to control myself to look photogenic rather than "frump girl". You are a God send! I cried after watching this & your posture video! God bless you and your work! I'm off to practice & be ready for the next photo op!!

I am glad you asked for comments. I think you will understand what I say in a way that no one else is equipped to grasp. I grew up with a parent that has a personality disorder. She has always been model material, 5'11" 115 lbs pretty face. Dad is handsome so no doubt I am their blend.
We would have a family photo session for the formal suitable for framing type photos taken at the photographers, she would be unhappy with the proofs when the rest of us and the photographer would say that we think this and this one are beautiful and ask why she doesn't like them, her answer was because my daughter looks better than me. And we would have to remake appointments, redress, redo hair etc and she insisted and directed me at home how to "stop looking better than her ". Even our passport pictures when I was young she would reject the photos that she said I looked to good in. ( Kids under 7-8 are in the same passport as the mother). It became ingrained in me to dread, feel scared, insecure in front of a camera. I'd be so nervous getting even a fun screen shots. When I realized why I was so paranoid of camera's and worked on that issue to gain some comfort I still didn't take good photos. I stumbled onto a YT of models telling how to pose then realized it's the look on my face haha that is never adequate. I said to myself that I bet a great photographer tells people and pulls a look they perceive. So here you are healing that final wounded place in my self esteem with your video. Thank you for this and I'll be learning more from you as well. Had you ever thought you would be a healer? You have my thanks!

This is also really good advice for how to regulate my own facial expression irl. Wish someone had taught me this about two decades ago. This is a great video for me especially, as I have a child with autism. It is often difficult to take photos without a fake grimace from her. She doesn't understand how to smile naturally whether I sneak up with a camera or ask for a pose. So now at 12, its still not easy to snap a picture of the lovely girl I see every day, and there aren't many keepers here. You have shared some of the greatest tips to help me purposefully create her more natural self in a picture. I look forward to using everything I am learning from you to finally have some great pictures of her! THANK YOU!

Hi Gia. I am not a photographer (although I sometimes dream I am), I was someone totally feeling intimidated by this world of having to participate in video conferencing. I stumbed upon and was intrigued by your video on how to look good on Zoom. That led me to other videos followed by me subscribing. What I absolutley loved - as in light bulb confidence boost - was this video. This video helped me to feel more confident when in the presence of others; how a stand, how I look, but most of all explained why people are uncomfortable with my tip 4 expression I do without realising. If ever you're interested in taking on a 54 year old, no-experience, 'gofer/apprentice', then look me up.
