【FHD 駅探訪No.63】北越急行ほくほく線 美佐島駅にて(At Misashima Station on the Hokuetsu Express Hokuhoku Line)

- 山岳トンネルを在来線日本最高速度（160km/h）で特急「はくたか」が駆け抜ける北越急行ほくほく線。その中で唯一トンネル内に設置された地下駅が美佐島駅です。列車の高速通過で生じる猛烈な風圧に対応すべく、地方の無人駅とは思えない設備を有するに至りました。今回は、そんな美佐島駅で、駅周辺や構内、列車の発着・通過風景を撮影してみた。
Hokuetsu Express Hokuhoku line is a mountain tunnel route where limited express train HAKUTAKA passes at 160km/h, which is the fastest of all local railway lines in Japan. Misashima station is the only station, installed belowground on this line. To tackle the severe wind pressure, caused by fast passage of trains, the station has firm facilities. This time, I took the scenery of station, environs, and trains at the station.

The ground level waiting room is really cosy and charming! It looks more like a community centre than a waiting room, with home comforts! The underground level is a little spooky but it's a cool idea to give local people access to the railway :)
美佐島は「電車でGo!」というゲームで走り抜けたことがありますが、収録路線が「はくたか」と「快速」だったので、美佐島駅に停まるダイヤは運転できませんでした。自分もいつかは、美佐島駅に行きたいです。
この駅詳しく撮影してくださってありがとうございました。!
この動画をきっかけに私も今年の2月に雪が降る美佐島駅を訪れました。この動画内で一部の陶器が割れていましたが、私が訪れた際はその陶器は新しく作り直したのか、割れたものを撤去しただけなのかわかりませんが残されていませんでした。また、この動画で紹介されていた快適過ぎる待合室も見学しました。湯のみ茶碗、コップ、やかんの一式は撤去され戸棚だけが残っていたほか、手前側のストーブが故障していたり、座布団が1つだけになっていたり、テーブルが4つになっているなどといった変化はありましたが、快適性は保たれていました。
往年の高速通過はすでになくなってしまい、私が訪れた際は時間の関係上列車の通過は見られませんでしたが、発着時でも隙間風の音は凄まじく、この駅の面白味を体感することができました。
動画が来訪のきっかけとなって嬉しいです。快適すぎる待合室は閉鎖に追い込まれずに安心しました。高速通過の機会が無くなったので設備も簡略化されるのではないかと思ったのですが、伝統の隙間風音が聞ける状態であったのは良かったです。

㊗️悲願の美佐島初来駅記念🚇
本日、👪家族で斑尾スキー旅行🎿の帰りに、6回目の❄️森宮野原駅来駅🚉のついでに、ようやく悲願の🚇美佐島駅初来駅🔰しました‼️オレの親父が前から行きたかった🚇トンネル駅🚉で、ようやく初来駅する日が来て親父は納得です‼️🚋電車でGOのゲーム🕹️でよくプレイしていたので懐かしく、トンネル美佐島駅最高でした👍‼️
はくたか廃止前と後の2回この駅を訪れていますが、防風扉のすきま風を聞く機会が減るとやっぱり寂しいですね、、、
友達と、待合室の中でウノしたのが懐かしいw
夜に行ったら駅周辺と駅構内恐怖を感じる………
トンネルの中に入っていく普通列車かっこいいです。筒石駅や土合駅もいいですよね。
そうですね。トンネルの中に駅を造らざるを得なかった背景も知ると、さらに楽しくなります。
近所の利用客は何も思ってないと思いますが。やはり私たちからしたらいいですよね美佐島駅は。あと地下鉄みたいで面白いです。
隙間風の駅はここだけではなく、京王線の布田駅にもありますね。
布田駅もフルスクリーンドアという構造上、美佐島駅のように隙間風の轟音が鳴り響くことから「京王美佐島」とも称されているとは聞いております。私も行ったことがあります（ ruclips.net/video/V3PlSN3Z7uw/видео.html ）。
Omedeto gozaimasu!!! This is by far the most beautiful station of rural Japanese stations i have ever seen! Unique appearance, traditional architecture, museum exhibits and a very cozy and welcoming waiting room are totally amazing to see! I would definitely visit the station whenever i wanted to feel calm! As for the tunnel sounds, they are a huge contrast to the luxury of the ground level and the sound of air pressure changing is really weird and depressing...like being in space.
Misashima station has so many features that I faced with difficulty to gather them in a movie such as comfortable waiting room, firm windbreak doors, scary sounds of air pressure... So I am grad to see your comment because my challenge and the station's fascination reaches viewers accurately.

I really enjoy your videos, and many thanks for taking time and effort to provide English subtitles for us gaijin ! I love Japan's railway, people and country, and it's very easy for me to watch hundreds of hours of Japan railway videos ( of which there must be thousands !) One of my favourite lines is Kisuki ( Hiroshima) I would love to be able to live the rest of my days right next to the line in an isolated home right out in the countryside.

Oh you like Kisuki line, which is one of the most desolated line in JR West lines. The scenery is good and the area around the line is quiet except when train passes. 美佐島駅は、高速の通過集で、風の音がより良い素晴らしい音でしたわ！
それに、筒石駅も！！
はくたか号通過するときは下りが160km/hで上りが130km/hで通過しますけど今ははくたか号の通過は見れません。
快速と超快速スノーラビットだけ110km/hで通過します。
今は快速と超快速スノーラビットと臨時特急の通過しか見れません。

Hi there OMIYAEXPRESS! as you know, the limited express HAKUTAKA has discontinued and now Cho rapid services have been introduced. although, i have seen a video of an E653 series passing the station at possibly 150km/h. i was wondering if you could explain what was going on in that video.

It is an extra (irregular service) limited express train to transport passengers for large festival near Tokamachi station.
