【FHD】北越急行ほくほく線 しんざ駅にて(At Shinza Station on the Hokuetsu Express Hokuhoku Line)

北越急行ほくほく線は、六日町と犀潟の59.5 kmを結ぶ第三セクター鉄道です。山岳地帯をトンネルで貫く高規格路線であり、2002年3月からは日本の在来線では最速の160km/h運転が特急「はくたか」において始められました。2015年3月14日に予定される北陸新幹線の金沢間延伸開業に伴い、特急「はくたか」は廃止されるため、その風景が見られる期間もあとわずかとなりました。今回は、赤倉トンネルの出入口に位置するしんざ駅にて、通過・発着列車を撮影しました。十日町側に急カーブがあるため、通過列車の速度は比較的遅めです。
Hokuetsu Express Hokuhoku line, connecting Muikamachi and Saigata in 59.5km, is a high-standard railway line. Limited express HAKUTAKA runs at a maximum speed of 160km/h, which is the fastest of all local Japanese trains. But this operation service will abolished on 14th March, 2015, because the Hokuriku Shinkansen extends to Kanazawa. This time, I took 7 trains passing through, arriving at and departing from Shinza station, which is located at entrance/exit of the Akakura Tunnel. The trains pass relatively slowly because there is a sharp curve on the side of Tokamachi.

Another great snowy video! The tripod offers great stability! My favorite scenes are the passing of the 681 EMU in ''Hokuetsu Express'' livery and the stopping of the local train at 3,58, where the scenery is amazing, all these tall snow covered trees and the little station with the local train.

Here is one of the most snowy region in Japan. Sometimes more than 3 meters high snow accumulates. Hokuetsu Express's 681 and 683 "Snow Rabbit" series is so popular that we can search which train is operated by them on the Hokuetsu Express's official website but this livery will disappear in 2 months sadly. Except from 1:23 to 2:10, all scenes are taken with tripod. This is the largest proportion in recent years.
