    Excellent job Giles in explaining errors and corrections in chipping! On occasion, when I loose my focus, chunks and skinnies do happen in my chipping! I think what happens is that I get a little handsy. I know that when I preset my wrists and use a triangular motion I achieve better results! Well Done Giles! Keep up the good work!!

      Glad it was helpful John! Often that can happen from over setting the wrists or poor body movement so check them out

      My wrists aren't "frozen", but not "floppy" either. The club balance is felt and it could be from lack of proper rotation! Thanks Giles!@@Gilesgillgolf

    Would be great to see same distance from thick grass and bare lies. Same swing?

    Use the bounce and let it become your best friend and keep your body fluid.

      @Gilesgillgolf  2 месяца назад +2

      A lot of golfers don’t like to use the bounce as much. Personal preference

      @@Gilesgillgolf Very true. I was not a fan and still not of over the top numbers so mine are in the middle. Which is still more bounce than my previous set of wedges and took a little adjustment to get them dialed in. Now I won’t be going back.

    Do these 3 tips work for all the 52,56 and 60 degree wedges? Cheers

    So does all that apply chipping from the rough? Or just tight lies? I have distance control issues in the rough and from very thin/ hard pan lies.

    • @Gilesgillgolf
      @Gilesgillgolf  21 день назад

      Yes it does. Obviously slight changes are needed to be made but this is a pretty standard technique

    Why not just preset the head forward in the impact position? Moving the head during the swing adds an inconsistent variable. Each time it could move forward too much, too little, too fast, too slow, etc.

    • @Gilesgillgolf
      @Gilesgillgolf  2 месяца назад +3

      The best players in the world move there head as it allows you to shift your low point further past the ball. You can add shaft lean but it makes hitting the ball higher more of a challenge
