@@CraftingwithDelonda Hi Delonda! I'm from the Bahamas, love your content. I haven't been sublimating for very long, but I started by using a good much tape and have been very successful, so I just continue doing it, even though it's VERY time-consuming 🙄🙂
I use a lot of tape too. I usually don’t even use shrink wrap either! I also don’t have a tumbler press. I use an airfryer and all mine have been great. I am never in a hurry and take my time making sure I get the sub paper tight with no air spaces. I just do this for me and my friends and family. I’m not doing this for business so I can take my time. 😊 Love all your videos!
OMG!!!!! After messing up 6 tumblers in my new HTV Autopress, I found you on RUclips!! Thank you, thank you. LOTS AND LOTS of tape!! I'll order another press, this is messing with my bottom line. lol. Thanks again for your post!
First, you stating "perfection is overrated" has helped me so much!! I am an over thinker and you, being the amazing creator that you are, taught me to just do it. If I mess up, it's okay. Thank you for that! Second, I have the PYD Life tumbler press. I get great results when I dont tape the top or bottom just the sides. Sometimes I get a slight ghosting. I will look at and try Marilyn's method as well. Thank you sweetie!!
I love your content 😊 may I suggest, you use your three center tapes and then your longer stripes of tape on the rim of your tumbler and the bottom. Make sure they are really tight and then press. Work awesome for no ghosting around your edges. It took a full case of tumblers for me to get it 😂. But we can do this.
Hello Delonda 😊 I believe the tape keeps any air from getting into vulnerable spots. I don’t like the extra tape either but the tightening helps. My tumblers have improved 100%.
Delonda, your reactions to mistakes are what give me courage to keep trying!! Though I have not yet tried tumblers .. my sublimation journey has included t-shirts, mugs and small blanks (coasters, magnets, jewelry). Sometimes I wonder if the steps I follow are actually helping or are more based on superstition (I mean they worked once so I keep doing them)..for example, I blow dry my paper before printing to remove moisture - both sublimation paper and butcher paper, etc. When my tumbler press comes, I plan to add excessive taping to my journal steps. Thank you for your videos!!!
Ms Delonda I want to thank you for doing the tumbler illustration on the second try. I have the HTVRONT Tumbler press and I used your settings 390 degrees with 2 rotations at 70 and I GOT NO GHOSTING❤😊. I used the butcher paper to insert with the tumbler too and yes lots of tape using Ms Marilyn illustration.
Beautiful! Question, details on that teal colored heat press in the background, manufacturer, size? Do you recommend it? I love when you say, it’s me, Delonda. Thank you so much for sharing.
I was having ghosting as well. So I brought some silicone bands because like you I don’t like using a lot of tape. The bands work great. I messed up 8 tumblers before I got it right. Do now I have 8 black tumblers that I have used vinyl on and no ones they were mistakes. I ordered a blank black sheet from Etsy and made 4 copies which I used to cover up my mistakes on my tumblers , worked perfectly. M
lol it’s funny how your reel short hit home. I just messed up 4 tumblers with the htv ront press and was about to give up lol. I said let me RUclips tips and your video was the first to pop up for me. I’m not giving up though. I’m taking it as a sign so I’m going to go back in my office and try this technique…..with patience lol.
This was a great video! I’ve been wondering exactly if I need to return this press and use only my oven or not. I think I’ll keep it for mugs and glass can maybe. I’m glad you showed us with this one taping is the key for the 20 Oz skinnys.
I absolutely love your videos- this is my favorite 😍 why? BECAUSE I have made so many mistakes with this whole sublimation process!! Yep more taping…but mistakes are ok ✅
Well done!! Perfection is overrated! For me the only way to go is to give my 100% and I’m just getting started. It is a joy for me to give a gift well done!!
I always use lots of tape trun out great! Like you though do not like to use lots of tape but it sure comes out awesome! Thank you for teaching enjoy the video! Happy Mother;s Day 💐 God Bless Hugs Liz 💕
I think i am going to buy a million tape s and tape the heck of out of my tumbler because i sure did not have succes with it yet. Quit? Nooo me never 😅. To be continued 😅 Thank you for your time ❤
First and foremost hello, and you’re amazing! I follow Ms Marilyn as well but lol I don’t use that much tape. Suggestion, take one piece of butcher paper and tape around the tumbler then fold in the top and fold the bottom. See if that works. It does for me! Continual Blessings! ❤
I have this tumbler press and watched your previous video. I used the sizing and printer preference settings you suggested. It came out just fine without all that tape. I think dimensions and NOT using infusible ink transfer sheets make all the difference.
I have inconsistent results using multiple taping methods with my pyd life tumbler press. (I do not have the HTVRont press) Sometimes one taping method works with no ghosting and sometimes that same way doesn’t. I plan to try your 3 piece tape with open paper wrap and see what happens. I like the less tape use idea and I’m hoping it gives me a great result. Loved the video❤
Do you rotate the tumblers. I'm definitely going to try using more tape. I always look forward to your tutorials, you give pointers on everything. Have a blessed evening
I use the silicone sleeves. They work great and not a lot of money wasted on tape. Takes a little practice to learn how to get them on but it's worth the time and money saved. Cost of a lot of tape adds up.
I always use the tape in this way and all tumblers came out great...have a vevor tumbler press...it´s better to use more tape, instead of ruining the tumbler
Delonda can you please do a tutorial on that PDY LIFE CRADLE HOLDER PLEASE? I have one and can’t get it to stay up to put y tumbler on, so I just put it up in the closet.
Great video! I like how you said "If that is what's going to get a perfect tumbler, than that is what I suggest "You" do. I heard and took that to mean but I won't be using all that tape. Hahaha! Tracey
Did you rotate the first one or leave it in, untouched, for the full time? I’d be curious to see what would happen without the tape, 390 and rotating at 70 seconds. Personally, I’ve been using my PYD life oven more than my press because I don’t like using a ton of tape and I won’t lie, my press smells 😂 if we were all perfect on the first try, I don’t think we would ever keep going because it would get boring. Mistakes are where the magic happens.
Hi Delonda. I purchased this HTVRONT tumbler press from Amazon. I liked it, but I had to return it. It only worked 1 time. Do you have any problems with your unit? The display would not come on after pressing the power button. I tried several times and got frustrated. I am considering buying from HTVRont. What's your opinion of buying directly from the company?
I have used it about 25 times now and I like it. I just had a problem with ghosting on full wraps. They are getting ready to have a HUGE sale on their website starting very soon. If you are going to order from the website, I suggest you wait.
I always tape my tumblers this way. There's no rhyme or reason you can't use as much tape as you want to. But.....this doesn't always work. I tape and use shrink wrap. I make my tumblers in a convection oven as well. But ghosting comes from air under the design. Sometimes the designs slip so no method of taping is 100%.
When you use your heat press after the tumbler is done, does the smoke put off a bad odor smell? Or is it just me thinking this. I bought this as my first heat press.
I saw someone else doing that. So would you wrap plain paper around the image and then shrink wrap it and then place it in the tumble with an additional paper like Delonda did?
@CRAFTINGWITHDELONDA TRY USING PAINTERS TAPE AROUND THE TOP AND BOTTOM, REAL PAINTERS TAPE NOT THE ONE FROM THE DOLLAR STORES (because they will burn)...THATS WHAT I USE.

I always use that much tape and EVERY tumbler has been perfect.
I have never used that much. I cannot 😭😭😭

Imperfect tumblers are an ongoing joke in my family. My mom holding on to one like it was my 1st kindergarten project 😂.
That is hilarious 😂

Hey Delonda and chat
Hi there
Hey Delonda where did u get that santa from that u made the mistake on
You're so cute, Delonda. Especially when you put "my tape has tape", lol. Great video!
I was frustrated at that point and willing to try anything, lol! Marilyn's method was so helpful to me. Thanks for watching.
Hello everyone
Thank you for joining me!
I think turning it around also is a part of it
Have you tried the shrink wrap sleeves? Seems like they hug the tumbler all over.
I couldn't get the sleeve to go over my paper without it folding.
Thank you for this video as I have been on the fence about this press. May I ask the measurements you use for the 20oz tumbler image?
Thank you ❤️
I really think it's best for you to measure your tumblers all the way around and from the top to the bottom. They are all so different.

Hello all!👋

So I have a qi keep ghosting and I use a air fryer for 390 heat for 6 mins halfway I turn it, but is it better to use a tumbler heat press
I am so sorry. Check out @makingwithmarilyn she has a sure fire way to tape her tumblers that may be more helpful than what I have demonstrated.

can this press holds 17oz tumblers tapered? because i hate using silicon take the space in my cricut press
Hi there and nope

Yup I'll get an oven
