Omg Jennifer’s videos are great! She’s very thorough when she’s explaining what’s she’s doing. And she actually comments when you’re asking a question. I watch a lot of videos and they don’t respond.
I know this is an older video, so the chances kf you seeing this are slim...but i wanted to give you the biggest thank you ever! A couple years ago i started my cricut journey, and instantly was lost until i found you. Im not kidding when i say you literally taught me every single thing i know. And now, im at the beginning of my sublimation journey....and once again youre leading the way for me. Jennifer, i cant thank you enough for all of your help. And i know there are tons of "crafting teachers" out there....but you stand out. Not only are you amazing at what you do, and you make everything soooooo easy to understand...and i know this may sound weird..lol....but you have such a comforting voice😂 i could listen to you talk and talk and not once do i get bored, or have to fast forward through anything.😂 I just want to give you a big thank you hug and let you know how much i appriciate all of your help. You are one of a kind, and absolutely 100 percent deserce the "Queen of Crafting" badge. Lol. Thank you for everything you do. 😊
I am still in the learning stage, but I have no doubt after watching your many precise videos I will be able to succeed with confidence. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I followed this step by step with my heat tumbler and it worked PERFECTLY!!! Thank You Jennifer! Now on to converting my Epso Eco tank to a sublimation printer!!!
No wonder she almost has 1 million subs. :D These videos must be a lot of work to make! Plus writing the blog post about how to measure and print etc. . wow
Thank you for always making videos with such great explanation, and visuals! I made my first tumbler last night and it came out perfect thanks to your step by step, in depth video! :)
Love your videos. Pleasant voice and pace. Thank you! I don’t have your expertise but I use an air fryer at 360° F for 8 minutes. No shrink wrap or bands just heat resistant tape. I think my results are good and consistent. When someone wants to learn I share your name and point them to your videos
I can't thank you enough for being to the point, thorough, clear, and for actual useful information. I lose interest very quickly with most channels regarding this niche. So hands down you are now my go to for information. Thank you thank you!!!
My daughter n I LOVE UR VIDEOS!!!! We are new at Tumblers. Now we did the shrink wrap with the oven. Not bad. Now we do the shrink wrap and the bands. The tumblers have been coming out really nice. We are still working on the seem lines. Thank you for doing these videos!! ❤
Thanks for sharing the designs. I have had the best luck by taping over my tape with painters tape to get a good seal and then using an air fryer at 370 for 7 minutes. I have a tumbler press that came with my swing arm press but ive never been able to get the pressure right. You inspire me to try it again.
I use the tovala smart air fryer oven. I use the bands, 5-6 depending on my mood and it comes out beautifully. Picture then band, no paper between the two. I use 300 degrees for 6 mins on air fry turning every 2. But I’m testing 375 on oven setting instead of air fry with shrink wrap OVER my bands(just curious). My frosted glass can came out amazing at 425 for 8 mins last night ❤️
Great video , thank you for always being so clear in your instructions - Just looking into making sublimation tumblers after doing Epoxy for so long. I am looking into buying a sublimation oven bt now thinking the press - I do want to use it for more than just mugs.
My tumbler press came into today, same as yours. 😊 I was wondering will the heating temperature light stop blinking when the heat temperature is ready?
Hi, I know its been awhile since you posted this video, but as I was having my coffee just now, I saw a small design on the inside top of my mug (that was a repeat of the cat design on the outside) and thought to myself, hey, can we sublimate inside of a mug??? and so off to the internet I went to you your channel to see.. I searched other videos and no one really got it to work aside from a few saying sand worked (but others who tried it didn't get it to work, which would probably be my outcome if i tried)... so I am curious if you have ever tried it. Thank you again for all the great videos! I look forward to hearing from you 🙏
Nice video. I learned a lot. I pressed down the seam as you did, but I still got a little white line. Maybe not enough? For my first one it came out good other than that. It still holds drinks!!! LOL..
Only thing I was expecting to get covered was the steps on printing is the same as the regular sublimating printer or do we need to change any setting?
Hello, these would make great gifts. I was checking out the tumbler press on Amazon and was wondering how the presses could work for other projects. It looks like if I buy the press you linked to, I could also make other projects such as mugs and glass jars, if I just purchase the appropriate heater, is this right? Or will I need a whole different press? thanks so much!
You say the convection oven is good only for sublimation. So I can't bake my Fimo items in it either? Can I bake paper for browning and/or drying stained or dyed papers for JunkJournals? How about drying paper mache in silicone mold? I had hoped to have one smaller oven for everything craft related. My craft/sewing room already has LOADS of items as I have lots of varied interests. Even my sewing & stitching is varied with loads of different interests.
To print the design for the 20 oz sublimation tumblers, you can use Google Docs. Yes, you do need to mirror the image.Under layout, click "Flip horizontally" to mirror your image.
Great tutorial! Thank you for straight forward, easy to follow, and descriptive tutorial! I love the shelf you have over your printer in the last part of your video, can you share where you got it? Thank you!
We designed and made them on our 3D printer. We plan to share the print files on our blog at some point for anyone else who wants them. There are two styles -- the one on the left uses PVC pipes, so it’s height adjustable to your needs. The one on the right is all 3D printed except for the table, which is a piece of wood screwed to the legs. Both meet the requirements in Cricut’s Safety Instructions for “a flat and stable surface” as the Cricuts are just sitting on stable tables.
This is a very helpful video, but I think I missed what temperature you used for the convection oven. Also, how would you do a tumbler if the oven is not tall enough for the tumbler to stand upright?
Here is the link to my step by step directions for you, jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/ and you can lay your tumblers on the rack in the convection oven as well. There is quite a bit of information on this subject in my Sublimation FB group as well. You can join at this link, facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy 💗
Hi Jennifer, im trying to make your skinning tumbler 9.5 x 8.1 . Design Space says too large. watching video you seemed to make it work. how? thanks Karyn
I am not familiae with google doc, could you please give me some information on how to use it. I cannot make the designs for the tumbler in cricut. I would appreciate any helpyou could give me. I am 80 years old and love doing all the crafting ideas. thank you in advance for any help.
I'm using my Cricut Design Space to create the design, but when I try to print it, it says that the design is too large. I'm sizing it 9 1/2 by 8.1. What can I do?
Hi Jennifer first I watch you videos all the time and you’re amazing love them. I tried my first skinny tumbler and for my first time not to bad. But I have messed up the seam, it didn’t press where I had the tape just wanting advice on how to fix that. Thanks 😊
Thank you Jennifer for all of your amazing and helpful videos!!! You rock! I have a quick question for you. What tumbler heat press do you have, or recommend because I have tried the convection oven way and the shrink wrap rips in the process of submlimating..GRRRR! I purchased the bands, received them yesterday [haven't tried them yet]. Not sure how it will turn out. I am just ready to sell the convection oven because I am overly unhappy with the results. Please help!! Love ya Jennifer!!
Hi Cindy, I have all of my materials and supplies listed and linked on my tumbler blog post tutorial for you, jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/ 💗
Why is the tumbler heat press machine you have listed in your list different from the one your using in your video? Where can I find the same one your using? The one listed in your section don’t even have the adjustable knobs in the front like yours.
When making the tumbler in the tumbler press, you need to rotate the tumbler 180 degrees to ensure even heat distribution. This helps to avoid any uneven transfer of the design and ensures that the entire surface of the tumbler receives consistent heat, which is crucial for achieving a perfect sublimation result. By rotating the tumbler, you minimize the risk of hot spots or areas that might not get enough heat, leading to a more uniform and professional finish.

Looking for your printed list of supplies. Finally got my printer, ink and heat press in, but I need EVERYTHING else! Loved the video.

Great tutorial as always. I do want to try using my mug press just to see how it turns out. I bought silicone sheets to make up for the space gap.
Great idea! Thanks so much for watching and crafting with us!! 😊🌈
Awesome Lisa you just answered my question 😊 so have you tried the mug press to sublimate the tumbler and if so how did it turn out? 😊
Your video is the best and easiest to follow. Thank you. I'm subscribing.
this really helped with the timing, thank you
I am so looking forward to this tutorial!

I want to buy a Christmas tumbler on clearance and recover. Ty!

Once you use it for sublimation do not use it to cook food in it. You can do all that other stuff, just not food after it was used for sublimation.
Hi Jennifer
Hello! 😊
What program do you print these out of? I can’t get them to print the right size
Check out jennifermaker.com/print-sublimation-designs-from-google-docs 😊🌻
Thank you so much! I got it figured out.
Which program you use to print the design? And do you mirror the image?
To print the design for the 20 oz sublimation tumblers, you can use Google Docs. Yes, you do need to mirror the image.Under layout, click "Flip horizontally" to mirror your image.
Love the video - I have a convection oven but no felt pad. Could I remove the rack and put a piece of parchment paper under instead?
Parchment paper is coated and it holds in that moisture. It is not recommended for sublimation crafting.
Thank you 😊
You're welcome 😊
Do you mind explaining the need for the felt pad? Fantastic, informative video, BTW!
I have more details on the blog post. jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/
Can you do multiple tumblers in over

Jennifer, do u have any videos on epoxy pens? Or beaded bubble gum pens? 💜💜🌈✨
Hi Jennifer 😊 I wanted to know can you use a mug press to sublimate your tumbler? 😊
the heat resistant felt pad is out of stock on Amazon. What other heat resistant felt pad do you recommend.
We put in another option in the affiliate materials list. jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/
What do you use to get the designs and be able to print them correctly?
OMG Thank YOU FOR THIS VIDEO 🤗🥰😍🎉
You are so welcome!
Where did you print the design itself? That's the bit I was waiting for? I found cricut design doesn't fit the size needed for a 20oz tumbler...😢
The instructions are here - jennifermaker.com/print-sublimation-designs-from-google-docs 😊🌻

To convert an epson to sublimation it needs to be an ecotank. jennifermaker.com/best-sublimation-printer/
I am not familiae with google doc, could you please give me some information on how to use it. I cannot make the designs for the tumbler in cricut. I would appreciate any helpyou could give me.

I'm using my Cricut Design Space to create the design, but when I try to print it, it says that the design is too large. I'm sizing it 9 1/2 by 8.1. What can I do?
The maximum size for print then cut is 9.25" x 6.75". You'd just want to adjust the size.
Hi Jennifer first I watch you videos all the time and you’re amazing love them. I tried my first skinny tumbler and for my first time not to bad. But I have messed up the seam, it didn’t press where I had the tape just wanting advice on how to fix that. Thanks 😊
Make sure that the design overlaps a bit and tape all the edges down and burnish them. Have it as tight as you can.

Yes. 😊🌻
I have a question about a Tervis tumbler. I have a client who would like a design put on a Tervis. Can you sublimate on these tumblers??
You must use blank tumblers designed for sublimation dye.
can i use brown butcher paper that is unbleached, unwaxed and uncoated for all sublimation projects?
Sure thing!🥰
Will a blow dryer also work if I don’t have a heat gun?
Give it a go.
Where do you get the felt pad?

Hi Jennifer what software you use to print your desgin.
Check out jennifermaker.com/print-sublimation-designs-from-google-docs 😊🌻
@@JenniferMaker ok thank you like try that's 🙂
I read that its best to heat up the press with a blank cup inside?
I have not heard this. You can ask in the group. facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy
What sublimation printer did you use for tumbler cups
You can find it here. jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/
What size paper do you use?
When use my Cricut ti designa tumbler it leaves the black corners and won let my use the whole sheet of paper
You have to print outside of Design Space. jennifermaker.com/print-sublimation-designs-from-google-docs/ 🥰
Hi. What software do you actually print the design? I have Cricut design space and it’s not allowing me to print to the size of the tumbler.
You will need to print these with Google, we link it that in the tutorial. 😊🌻
Why is the tumbler heat press machine you have listed in your list different from the one your using in your video? Where can I find the same one your using? The one listed in your section don’t even have the adjustable knobs in the front like yours.
They are both the PYDlife tumbler press. The Amazon link is to the newer version🥰
Should the seems meet or can they overlap?
The seems should meet. The overlap will be the white only. Check the video at 6:10 jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/
You have a riser above your printer. Where did you get that?
The stands are made with a 3D printer that the Cricut machines are on. We plan to share them at some point.
Which is better the oven or press
It's just personal preference really 💗
Can the tumbler lay on its side if the oven not tall enough?
You can!🥰
Did I completely overlook how to mirror an image in your video via the link 'HOW TO PRINT A SUBLIMATION DESIGN FROM GOOGLE DOCS'?
Yes, you will need to go to google docs, insert>drawing>actions>rotate>flip horizontally jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/
Can you use a regular oven?
Have you used a sublimation oven as posed to a convection oven? I wonder if the results would be different?
You can get good results in both. 🥰
Great tutorial, is there another heat-resistant felt pad you can recommend? The link for the one you have is not available on Amazon 😒
I use the one from Cricut. You can check their website or at your local crafts stores.
What software are you using to send it to your printer?
Here are the details. jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/
Will a heat press with mug press attachments do skinny tumblers or beer can glasses?
Many people use them and there are quite a few options out there, I don't use one myself though 💗
The link you listed for the butcher paper, is the same link for the heat resistant tape.
I just clicked on it and it went to the butcher paper but it is currently unavailable. Hopefully it will be available soon. 💕
Hiii Jennifer I hope you doing great , How much can I charge for this tumbler ?
I'm not really sure, it would depend on a lot of factors like where you live, materials, etc. 😊🌻

Not really. Here are some options. jennifermaker.com/cricut-mug-press-sublimation-blanks/
Can't Wait to see this
Can the Cricut mug press be used?
Yes! jennifermaker.com/cricut-mug-press-sublimation-blanks/
hello can you tell me how to sublimate a name on both sides of a stainless steel coffee mug so the name on the second side does not read backwards
I'm not understanding why one would read backwards. You would print your whole design mirrored and then press. 🥰
When making the tumbler in the tumbler press, why do you have to rotate the tumbler 180 degrees?
When making the tumbler in the tumbler press, you need to rotate the tumbler 180 degrees to ensure even heat distribution. This helps to avoid any uneven transfer of the design and ensures that the entire surface of the tumbler receives consistent heat, which is crucial for achieving a perfect sublimation result. By rotating the tumbler, you minimize the risk of hot spots or areas that might not get enough heat, leading to a more uniform and professional finish.
