James McCarthy and Mikey Johnstone left leaving a home grown player spot up for grabs... the choice was an Academy player or an established opponents Captain in Luke who has just received his first Scotland call up.
Luke is actually very technically gifted and I would say under rated to an extent... if he was playing at Hibs or Hearts the transfer would have been around the £4M mark but because it's Dundee a small fee was always going to be accepted.
Being a Celtic fan I can see Luke growing a few levels and surprising a LOT of folk with his composure and technical abilities.
Fantastic signing. Top talent with a knowledge and passion for the club, team and fans. Luke has terrific attributes and exhibits the style of midfielders we have had before. John Collins and Allan Thompson. Cool, calm, skilful and deadly. Welcome home Luke. Hail Hail.

Didn't know much about Luke so checked out highlights of the Hibs v Dundee match which must have been his last game for Dundee. Really impressed. Terrific corner, wonderful first time pass and a killer cross to the back post. Should be a great signing for Celtic. And best of all he is a Celtic fan through and through!
