HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! So happy I found your channel. You both are a joy to watch and follow. Thankful you both made it thru these hurricanes. Sending so many prayers to all involved in these storms. Also sending a huge thank you for the service our men and women from my country (Canada) who came down to help and continue to drive down to help as we take turns in helping our neighbors during these hard times.
Michael and Tiffany. Rumor has it that the fence installer installed the fence posts in 2 inches of concrete, code is 6 inches. Therefore, I'm hearing that the fence installers may have to fix all the post and cover these costs. Call warranty and double check. This is the rumor down here in Dabney. Thanks for all the great content.
Michael and Tiffany, My wife and I watch your videos weekly. We are less than 1 year from moving to the Villages and we are so excited. Thank you for the content you post each week, and especially this segment, detailing how the Villages fared in a major hurricane. It was a concern for us. We will be moving down from SC. Again, thank you for your weekly postings and we will hope to see you soon in person on the trails surrounding the Villages. Best regards, David and Colleen
Thank you so much! That is awesome! What part of SC? We lived in The Upstate area for 10 years, then moved to NC for 20 years and now FL for the last 5 years. The Carolinas will always be home in our ❤️❤️.
I will be purchasing a winter home in the villages in 5 years so I appreciate all you show us so that we know what to expect. Yes I will be a snowbird. 😊
Thank you for the tour of the community after the storm - it is good to see that there was minimal damage. I hope you can get the fence repaired without too much hassle.
I started watching you last week from Australia 🇦🇺 👋 My husband and I are similar age. We live in Queensland and also get cyclones 😂. Really enjoying watching you
Hello Michael and Tiffany glad you both are doing well and I can't believe I have been watching you both for almost a year. Where did the time go and have enjoyed every video and can't wait to see where your journey will take us. I am so sorry that you lost your fence and yes the storm was so wild that I stayed up all night too because I was scared to death and hope we never get another one!!!
Hard to believe it has been a year for you two. We have been following you from your lifestyle visit and are very grateful for your informative videos. We are currently in the Harper Villas on our lifestyle visit because of you two. We would love to meet you both but understand when things get busy. We plan to move to th Villages in the near future.
Thanks for sharing! We are out of town, but have heard that we had some minor fence damage at our house at Dabney but nothing major. On the bugs....you need to get yourselves a screen for your golf cart. Theres a guy that sells them at the farmers market at Brownwood (the evening one) for like $35. Worth it! Wife got stung by a bee one when we drove into one and that was enough for us. Highly recommend!
Thank for a wonderful tour. Always wondered about The Villages came to Wildwood, FL. Alot drive a semi to Coka Cola on main street. The Villages always fascinated me. Live in great San Antonio 10/13/24. So glad I found your videos. God bless you both.
On our way back. Neighbors sent us photos of how our home fared. Lost a panel of screening in our birdcage. We're up by Spanish Springs. I saw photos of village homes with missing shingles but don't remember which area they were in. Looks like LSL Boardwalk is under water and the gazebo is demolished. Hope they can get that restored when the water goes down. Glad you all fared so well. Take care.
Thanks! Yes it looks like LSL and other areas of TV (north of us) had more damage and flooding. Sorry to hear about your birdcage. Hopefully not too much damage.
Thank you for showing us what you observed after the hurricane. Our daughter and son in law in Polk County loss power and cell service for a few days but all is well. Regarding the fence, will the Villages repair what can be repaired and replace the broken pieces? Congratulations on your one year anniversary. My husband and I enjoy your videos very much.
Had really hoped to get to the 5K and meet you both, but plans change. Heading to the Sarasota/Venice area instead to help with storm cleanup. Glad to see the Villages made out OK. It's why we're considering retiring away from the coast...
Totally understand! Tiffany’s parents have a home in that area (right on the Myakka River) that was hit hard by Hurricane Ian in 2022. 30% of the homes in their neighborhood were completely destroyed in 2022. Their neighborhood got hit hard again this time but we don’t know the full extent of the damage yet. Thankfully they were out of town for both Ian and now Milton (they have a summer cabin up in the mountains). We may have to talk them in to moving to central FL. Thanks for going down to volunteer. Stay safe!
Thankyou for taking the time to make this video. In Canada we are celebrating Thanksgiving and we are very thankful for all God's blessing and thankful you two are both safe ❤️
You need to be careful keeping your Tesla in the garage during hurricanes if the garage floods that with the battery will catch on fire in Subway your house please be careful with the next storm with your car
Hi M&T , Glad to hear that you both faired the storm with no issues and are doing well. I have a question concerning the flood zones. You spoke about having interest in some lots in Waters Edge and deciding against it because of flood zone concerns. How did you determine that those lots were going to be an issue? We recently got picked for a designer home lot on a pond in Wellpoint and are now a little concerned. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
Hi Michael and Tiffany I called community standards because friends of ours had fence also damaged. I guess it’s in the deed restrictions that the repair and maintenance is the responsibility of the home owner and if you share the wall with a neighbor you both share in the cost. Not sure if the villages will make an exception. It’s in all our deeds
@@MichaelTiffanyTVE Also I talked to Community Standards if it falls in the 1 year warranty period for your home there might be a chance it would be covered under warranty, with no guarantee. Otherwise, the homeowners are responsible to maintaining as they are considered private property.
Great video. Sorry about your fencing. Maybe they can replace it with concrete walls like other neighborhoods. This is why I don't like vinyl fencing, especially this fencing. It doesn't look very sturdy. They need to build new fencing to withstand hurricane force winds like the materials and design they use to build the new homes. Well at least you are both safe, no flooding and your home is good. These are much more important issues than the fencing. Happy 1st year Anniversary. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Michael , on an earlier vid you had said that you had to upgrade the battery , did they give you credit for the existing 110 ah ? I'm in theprocess of trying to do the same thing here in Houston . Road tested one and fell in love . Also hoping that as we get closer to years end they might negotiate a little . Thanks and glad you guys are ok with what you have had to go thru. love your vids Armand
Thank you for making this video. Been a lurker for awhile. My mother lives in the Villages in Belvedere. She did ok overall. I did want to ask if you like your Midland weather radio or if there is another one you prefer?
I’ll have to say this video was one of the best…Hope you do a follow-up on the fence situation…I’m so sorry this happened…but thank goodness you’re both ok!!
Did I see the Tesla outside in the midst of the storm? Is that because if you lost power you would have difficulty with the garage door or another reason why you would leave it out?
We are hearing mixed reports based on if the home is still under the 1 year warranty or not. Will do an update video once we have more details. Thanks!

Happppy RUclips anniversary 🎉🎉🎉🎉 we are still settling in but so want to do the run w/y’all ❤R&A
Thank you so much! Come join us if you can next Saturday!
We moved into The Village of Duval on October 3. We were blessed and never lost power or didn’t have any flooding.
That’s good to hear! Glad y’all are okay too!
I think you don't need flood insurance if you don't have a mortgage...Just like regular insurance if you want to risk it.
I am so glad you both are OK!🙏
Hopefully the Association with pay and fix your fence.
Thank you!
I'm wondering how that works as well. Who is responsible for repairing the fence?
We live in Dabney nothing flooded. The drainage system works very well. We had our vinyl fence section blow over, easy fix for my husband.
Glad y’all are okay too! Thanks!
I bought in Dabney. Thanks for the update!🙏

Michael and Tiffany Thanks for the vid. How's the Evolution cart holding up ?
Our Evolution is still Awesome! Awesome! No issues (so far). Will do another golf cart update review in a few weeks. Thanks!

Will TV pay for your fence? ☹️. Glad you’re safe and your house didn’t get damaged.
Thanks! Will do a follow up video once we get the fence fixed.
Enjoyed your tour and checked up on the ponds, trees ,etc.
Who do you contact to let them know, about the fence ?
I
Thanks! Will do a follow up video on the fence once it’s fixed.
Thank you for making this video. Been a lurker for awhile. My mother lives in the Villages in Belvedere. She did ok overall.
I did want to ask if you like your Midland weather radio or if there is another one you prefer?
Thanks! Glad your mom is okay. We have been using our Midland for the last 5 years with no issues. 👍 Here is a link to the one we use. amzn.to/3AakSQ6
@@MichaelTiffanyTVE Thank you both for the reply as it is much appreciated! Keep being great!!!
I'm ready to move to the villages but I'm only 34 it's gonna be a long time before I get too.
Thanks!
I’ll have to say this video was one of the best…Hope you do a follow-up on the fence situation…I’m so sorry this happened…but thank goodness you’re both ok!!
Thanks so much! We will do a follow up once we get the fence repaired.
My friend lost her car port in Spanish Springs
How are you feeling Tiffany?
Look up for the 94 invest l that's out in Africa is making its way to Florida and it might hit the gulf so be on the lookout
Will do! Thanks!
They said next week could be 50 percent likely I live in Port Richey we got damage from both hurricanes
Now our area is flooded from rivers
Did I see the Tesla outside in the midst of the storm? Is that because if you lost power you would have difficulty with the garage door or another reason why you would leave it out?
Do you know who is responsible to fix the fences?
We are hearing mixed reports based on if the home is still under the 1 year warranty or not. Will do an update video once we have more details. Thanks!
By the looks of the new area you can now tell it gets more flooded than others ?. Might think twice before you decide
It is definitely giving us pause and something to consider in our next home search here at TV. Thanks!
Those fences are so cheap. Needed brick walls. But I guess these strong winds don’t happen often..
My only question is why did you leave the car out in the storm?
We have 2 cars but only a 1 car garage. Thanks!
You two are so cute
Thank you!
Is that your fence or The Villages ?
Are the golf courses still closed? What percentage of The Villages lost power?
I don’t think any part lost power. We r in the south of 44 area. Never lost power or internet
I follow bryan norcross who works besides fox weather and the weather channel he was known for hurricane andrew 1992 which i went through
Good to know! Thanks for sharing!
How to tell if the weather is getting serious.
The weatherman has his jacket on, no weather problems.
The weatherman has his jacket off, be concerned.
The weatherman has his sleeves rolled up, you're in trouble.
👍🤣 Thanks!
