So cool to see see a young black guy jammin' out to Rory Gallagher ,
great choice !
My dear departed wife's favorite song. RIP Georgianne...
When you went to see Gallagher, you got musicianship and sincerity and you were privy to Greatness. Such a humble guy who never saw himself as a great guitar player, one of the finest. Instead, he remained himself and talked to folk, because he was one of them. An artist from the people, for the people, all his life, which was too short.
Well said and true
Couldn’t have put it better myself
Though I have in other channels’ Comments
Great minds thinks alike 🤫🙏🏻
I love Rory but shout out to that bassist and drummer.
The number one rory
Rory is a Legend!!! From Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I was lucky enough to see so many of the great bands and performers. I was lucky enough to see Rory 5 times. If I had to choose one more concert it would be to see Rory again. Terribly missed. ❤️
Rory is the soundtrack to my life. He was 18 in Taste, I was 15. Thank you Rory, Donald Fagen and Walter. Why’d you leave us, Walter?
Rory was genuine, sincere and loved the guitar. So we loved him. Natural genius. This doesn’t happen in nature often. But it did with him. He loved it, we loved him. And he should be loved now and forever.
RORY THE BEST LOVE GREECE🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷
A million miles away is another really good live one from Rory.
Especially on the Irish Tour album, even without the Brass section he makes up with it in his soulful playing. The soaring feedback is just fucking beautiful.
my man really rocked out, funked out, hits a reggae sesh back to rock in out sheeeesh
Saw Rory many times - always the hottest ticket in town - simply the great guitarist of the Blues & Rock Era
Quality reaction pope
The Beast on Bass Mr Gerry MacAvoy
Ohhhh HELLL YEEEEAH!!!!!
They have a statue of him in his home town. He was their hometown hero. Yeah. Peace
Yes, Galla-her is the correct pronunciation of his last name. Thanks for another review!!
Amazing performance. Got to see him play Bad Penny December 2nd, 1982 at Madison Square Garden as Rush's special guest. Rory was without a doubt the best Rush opening act I ever saw. What a night!
Saw Rory a few times no one like
You are a Lucky man!!!!
Walk on hot coals, from Rory Gallagher’s Irish tour 74 album.
Just when you think he’s gone, he Popes up again 😁
Another great Rory reaction bro!
One of the best to strap on a Stratocaster. Not many players have the intensity of Rory and my other favorite Irish player, Gary Moore. Both left it all on the stage. The bass player is Gerry McAvoy from Belfast Ireland UK. I believe he’s still playing. It’s a shame we lost Rory so young.
Give sinner boy a shot Rory G taste live aat the Isle of wight
Thanks, Pope, for another Rory reaction (you did get his name right: Galla-her). Rory had such a wonderfully diverse catalogue of music, perhaps you might like to check out a different side of his musical prowess with some of his electric blues "Calling Card" (Hammersmith Odeon 1977) ruclips.net/video/4munizC7eJM/видео.html or blues slide guitar: "All Around Man" (live on Old Grey Whistle Test, 1976) ruclips.net/video/og2XJjg2uCs/видео.html Anyway, whichever song you happen to choose next on your Rory journey, you can't go wrong, as they are all worth listening to. Keep on...
I saw Rory in 1982 and he did play "Bad Penny" that night...
There's a rumor that some reporter asked Jimi Hendrix who the best guitar player was and Jimi answered "Ask Rory Gallagher"...
That is not a rumor you can see it right here on RUclips. R.I.P.
In my opinion the greatest guitar player of all time.
Amen!
Yup - the g is almost silent in Irish words with "gh".
watch 1970 isle of wight festival, gallagher as a young man play the song whats going on from his first album with his then band Taste
We lost a great one with the passing of Rory
The G-Man and band are tearing it up at Rockpalist. And you are pronouncing his name right, Gallag Her. Thank you for the reaction, look forward to your posts.
Second g is silent
Thanks for this; love Rory!!
The bass player 🔥🔥🔥🔥
👍❤🤙
Spot on with his name, gotta drop the second G
Arrasador!!! Meu eterno vício!
You got that pronunciation correct Bro, well done
You needs some bull frog blues! Rory told me grandma's got them too!
yes!!! Great choice.
I watched that concert live on TV and recorded it on a tape recorder. And from time to time I come to youtube just to watch excerpts from this concert at the Loreley. Especially one song : "Moonchild" where he got unleashed. I think I do it again right now. Sounds like a good idea.
6 min later: Job done. : Rory Gallagher - Moonchild - Loreley 1982(live)
Watch Rory Gallagher *Walk on hot coals* live in Spain, If you want to see him as he would say *In full flight*
Got pronunciation right 👍, second G is indeed silent
Roy is great another guitar payer you have to checkout is Alvin lee
Brian May from Queen and Slash from Guns and Roses are some of the Guitarists influenced by Rory Gallagher!!!
I've heard of Rory but not listened to his stuff, amazing solos! I'll be checking out more of his stuff for sure. Pope, if you haven't already it's time you checked out Muse. "New Born" would be a good place to start, but they have many, many great songs
Cheers
Harro 😁🤘
Missed you Pope! Where have you been hiding?🔈🔉🔊
finding my way out of the jungle 🙏🏿
@@POPE. Good to have you back!🦁🐯
LISTEN TO ELP - PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION - THE STUDIO VERSION. ENJOY!
I prefer the studio version
Gallagher pronounced with silent ‘g’ ie ‘Gallaher’
Rumor has it back in the day Jimi Hendrix was asked "what's it like be the greatest guitarist alive" he responded with a smile saying "Ask Rory Gallagher"
Yeah I mean wasf you know
Correct pronunciation
