Fantastic!! The Great Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers rockin' it with the Great Steve Winwood!! Who says hot rock n' rollers don't get better with age!
Wonderful concert! The entire arena was on their feet, singing and clapping from the opening act (Steve Winwood was on fire!) and all through till the last song of the encore! Excellent show gentlemen!
I too was at this concert! I've seen Tom several times. This concert by far, was my favorite. You're right... the place was jumping until the last note played.
TPATH ALWAYS had a great time playing with the greats...and they played with a LOT. Always game 'em the credit they deserved and ALWAYS game them the stage . Loved their performance with Bo Diddely....was classic.
Check out Mike Campbell just grooving out on Winwood's keyboarding at 2:25. Mike's a rock star who's also a Winwood fan just like we are. We see both Mikes!
Steve Winwood was a child prodigy. His older brother said he taught himself guitar in 2 weeks. Keyboard took longer. 4 weeks. He was 10 yrs old. Theres a BBC documentary about it.
Just seeing this clip for the first time......this gives me goose-bumps....LOVE IT. Tom was always good for bringing a huge name to play with him and the Heartbreakers. Another example of this. His love for music is immense ...from the quality he put out there for us, to sharing the stage with musical icons.
tom and winwood.always a bank for excellent entertainment.winwood is such an excellent singer that he always challeneges me.useless to say who always wins.
Some people stay ever green and remain phenomenal despite their advancing years . Winwood, Paul Rodgers, Neil Young and Tom Petty (RIP) belong to this class .Many others of this era can no longer hit high notes and developed a crack in vocal cords
i wish the soundmixer had cranked up the b3 a bit ! it's the main instrument in this song (with stevie's voice of course) and every time i hear this song, i want to feel the HAMMOND vibrations in my belly !!!
I'm glad I could use some good love making. Butt right now I'm scared of who might be out in parking lot til daylight. Love Pam. I respect The Heartbreakers and I trust them! They are all bad ass and u as well blue eyes! Pam Harty
Thanks for these! Was at the PNC show and while it was amazing I was bummed Winwood didn't come out and join them. These amazing videos make up for it, thanks!!
Have seen them both, Petty at Starwood Amphitheater, Winnwood atCarl Black Chevy Woods Amphitheater 4.3 (197) Amphitheater in Nashville, Tennessee, don't remember it being called that, Joe Walsh also
Steve was born in May 1948. The song was a hit in1966. Enfant prodige, genius....
So sorry we lost him. We were golden and thought it would last forever. Life is short...enjoy every day. Rock on, Tom.
Two of the greats, Petty and Winwood.
I was there too! It was amazing!! I couldn't stop smiling, dancing and singing!! So blessed to witness all that talent on one stage!!
Fantastic!! The Great Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers rockin' it with the Great Steve Winwood!! Who says hot rock n' rollers don't get better with age!
I saw them in Boise, ID in 2014. Hands down, one of the tightest, most incredible concerts I've ever been to! Thank you so much for posting this!
I was in 2nd row right in front of Tom Petty. What a great show!
I was irradiated by this song in 1965, Spenser Davis Group in Orlando FL, 12 years old, never right again after that blast. Thank you SDG!
Miss you Tom. Thanks to Steve Winwood for opening at Red Rocks a handful of years back!

Was there. It was the ONLY night on the tour that Petty allowed Winwood to join the Heartbreakers. Petty was so upstaged that never happened again.
