I purposely bought it because I didn't want a seasoned griddle. I have 4 other seasoned gas griddles. I wanted to use like a restaurant griddle. This thing makes the best smash burgers. Thanks for watching
I love my Vevor! It cooks amazingly but the temps on mine read very different! Usually I hit 350 at just below the 150 mark. Best advice I can give anyone who buys the Vevor, buy a flat top thermometer with it! Being able to use metal utensils is HUGE when you use a flat top. Can't suggest the Vevor enough! Thank you for the video!
You're right on the temp. Mine is roughly 50 degrees off from the setting to reality. Other than that it's a great value especially compared to the Blackstone E series. Thanks for watching.
Glad to see this video as I have been considering an indoor griddle. There are some days here that the weather is brutal in the winter and outside grilling isn't an option. That Vevor looks like a winner.
I hear you it gets cold here in St Louis and is why I bought the Blackstone E series. Two years later I stumble across Vevor on RUclips and have to get one. I wanted a commercial style griddle and this fits the bill. So save your money over the Blackstone and get the Vevor.
I have those two exact griddles and I also had the problem with heat retention on the Blackstone and never really could use it for much for that reason. I love my Vevor the best and use it all the time. However yes, the Vevor should be seasoned since it's cooking surface is indeed iron like cast iron. Smash burgers on the Vevor do get and keep the same crust and they don't stick so much when it is seasoned. I absolutely love my Vevor for indoor griddling and hope to start having the same experience in the upcoming warm season outside with my new outdoor griddle that I just put together.
Non stick coated tops never last forever. I bought the Vevor for half the price and love it. I wish I knew about the Vevor back when I bought the E series. If you are interested in the Vevor here is a link. s.vevor.com/bfQIB0
Good review Doug! Vevor pretty Industrial for sure. Still having success with my 22 eseries but i believe vevor will definitely give better results on burgers and steaks. Thanks for sharing. Cheers brother 🍻
You just can't get that searing quality out of the E series. I have used the crap out of my E series but when you can get the Vevor for half the price I think it's a no Brainier. Thanks for watching.
I've worked in restaurants for about 20 years of my life and never seasoned a flat top in a restaurant. Clean it at the end of the night so it's nice and shiny for the next day.
I bought this griddle specifically not to season it and treat it as a commercial griddle. I have 8 other seasoned griddles that some cost 10 times more than the Vevor. None of my other griddles can make a smash burger is well as the Vevor. This is because I don't season it just like restaurant griddles. To make the best smash burger you want it to stick to that griddle because that is what is making the crust that sets the smash burger apart from a traditional burger.
I love my Vevor. I wish I knew about it when I bought the Blackstone. I did get a couple years use out of the Blackstone and I did keep the cart but the griddle went into the trash.
If anyone is interested in the Vevor here is a link for the unit in this video. s.vevor.com/bfQIB0
You should season the Vevor bro. I did they same as you, I chucked my 17 inch Blackst6one.. Vevor for the win!

I was confused on which I wanted thanks for this video I’ll use your link
The Vevor kicks it ass all around. I wish I would have found the Vevor before I bought the Blackstone.
Thank you.
I have a vevor 21" and their fryer with the oil drainers on the way.
Haven'r decided if I will season or not.
You will love it. I just made myself a chopped cheese last night on the Vevor .
Awesome video! I was thinking about the Blackstone and saw the 22" vevor on sale at Walmart and Amazon. You convinced me. Getting one tomorrow!
The Vevor is so much better. Here is a link to the one I have.

I got this Vevor about 8 months ago after having the 22 inch blackstone. Vevor is the way to go and so much less hassle. I love mine!
Bro the lack of blinking is disturbing 😂
Too funny.
A little butter on each burger pad makes a world of difference in crust, ease of flip and most importantly the taste
Butter is good no doubt👍👍👍

@@griddlecookeatandmore Thanks
The difference in quality is pretty much obvious.
You are correct. Double the quality for half the price.

Great review! Vevor should have compensated you on this great comparison video.
I love my Vevor griddle for sure. I wish I would have bought this before my Blackstone E series. Thanks for watching.

Yes I love my Vevor and wish I knew about it before I bought the Blackstone E series. What kind of outdoor griddle did you get?
I have the Char-Griller 36-in Flat Iron. I'm hoping to have fun cooking on it.
I have read bad things about the fry pans with a ceramic coating too. It sounds like a surface type to avoid.

So, nobody notices this guy can't cook?!
I don't think anybody noticed 😂
Good sport, no maliciousness, cooked for 12yrs...I'm grumpy lol
@@davidgeier4271 it wasn't even a video about cooking. It was a comparison of the 2 griddles. All I did was smash some burgers to show the difference.
Totally get it, sold me on the griddle, but we season steel every morning in reality. Just a tip. Keep up the channel, I'll be back, take care.

you really need to stop cleaning of the seasoning you build up on the vevor

Vevor all day

I bet that you retrieved that blackstone from the trash. Play acting?
No it's long gone but I did keep the cart.
