Just tried cleaning mine for the first time non seasoned. I dont know if im just doing it wrong or what. So mine is this exact grill. It has about a million tiny grooves east to west on the whole cooking plate. I could not clean it for nothing. Black stuck in those grooves. Tried soap. Tried sos pad. Lemon juice. Vinegar. Steamy water. 2 hours. Finally i tried metal scouring pad going east to west with the grooved. That was the only thing that worked. This really shouldn't be that hard to do. If it were just flat it'd come clean easily with a scraper. Also dont like the fact that my drain is the higest part in the grease trough. Like really? Feel like i need to take a rubber hammer to it and make the drain hole the lowest point. Any ideas what else to use other than that metal scour pad as im sure thats a no no but literally the only thing that worked. Thanks
you can adjust the feet to help level it toward the drain, I just got mine seasoned and started cooking on it yesterday. So far I am impressed, however I did take the time to season it after cleaning the wax corrosion layer off, took a few hours to heat up, get to smoke temp then cool and repeat 3 more times. Having no issue with sticking, just clean after cooking, while still hot, with some tongs and paper towels or similar. 👍
Been watching these griddles for awhile and finally pulled the trigger after seeing your video. I got 6% off by registering with Vevor and then used your code today for another 5. Ordered the 30" to replace my Balckstone E-series dual element griddle.
So you ordered the one that has two separate controls or one. The bigger one with 2 temp controls needs a dedicated circuit to use it. The griddle does not have a plug on it. You would need an electrician to set it up unless you're handy with that.
@@griddlecookeatandmore correct. I realized that about an hour after ordering. Tried to swap out for the smaller (21”) but they couldn’t do it. They tried to cancel but it wouldn’t cancel even though it hadn’t been that long. Now I’ll either have to refuse shipment (probably will not be there when it arrives) or pay return shipping. Not happy about that but my fault for not catching the 32amp breaker thing.
I had it set to 350 but I think it runs about 40 degrees hotter than the dial. I think it was close to 400. Overall for 115 bucks these were the best Smash Burgers I have made
Great addition to your cooking arsenal Doug. Looks like a good little griddle. Just plug it in and get to cooking. You definitely got the smash burgers down to a science! Great job my friend.
You should get you one. For when it's super cold out. You might have to change the channel name to Poor Guy and Outdoor Cooking unless it's too Cold Out
A cover would be nice. For me I will mainly use it inside in the winter or don't feel like firing up the gas griddle. I will tell you this it made the best Smash Burger I have ever made.
Here is a video I made cleaning my griddle. You have to get a restaurant griddle cleaner. You can find it on Amazon. ruclips.net/video/slrMYtGCxi8/видео.html
I wonder why they switched from the big spatulas in the older version to the dinky ones in the new version. Ive seen other vendors selling the same griddle under a different brand, but include the same spatulas ad brushes. Guess its a different manufacturer making these for Vevor and whomever else wants to slap their brand on it.
Nice unit Doug, I would think no seasoning needed. The Blackstone is probably easier to move around but this definitely looks mote durable! I’m sure you’ll enjoy this griddle. Cheers brother 🍻
From reading a lot of reviews, it definitely needs seasoning. The cooking surface is iron, not stainless, and will rust. It needs the seasoning to protect the metal.
@AltimaNEO it doesn't need to be seasoned if you don't want to. There are many commercial griddles with the top made out of the same material. It will rust if you leave it sit outside for sure. I use this indoor and 0 rust issues.
@@griddlecookeatandmore Great to know, thank you. Its difficult to really know when Vevor's own information is contradicting itself, and user reviews saying another.
I come from a long restaurant background. I intentionally bought this griddle to not season it. It makes the best smash burgers of all griddles. It even says in the manual to clean it with a griddle cleaner.
awesome review thx....now i just have to decide which size to get 14 / 22 / 29 inch.....have you used the 29 and if so was it much of a difference and was it too big for the countertop ?...again great video....cheers from Canada
I have not used the 29". I think it may be a little too big for the counter. It also is fairly heavy if you need to move it around. The other problem is it needs a dedicated 30A 110 plug to use it. In the US that is not a normal household outlet so you would need to run one which would cost way more than the griddle. I think the 21" is the perfect size the 14" for me would be smaller than I want. If you have the room go with the 21" Thanks for watching.
How is the cable cord after one year? Do the cable get hot? Did you change it? A few people were saying that the cable burnt out after a year. How is yours working?
I have not had any issues with the cable. I did have an issue with the thermostat and I contacted Vevor and they sent me one out. Great griddle and great customer service.

A year later is it still working well?
Yes it works great. I did have a issue with the thermostat but contacted Vevor and the sent one out. Great griddle and great customer service.
i have a feeling i will be ordering this, been wanting one for a long time, love me some smash burgers, LOL, thank you for the review.
Thanks for watching. This little griddle is bad ass and a lot of fun. Here is a link to it.s.vevor.com/bfQIB0
I been wanting to get a griddle myself. Great review man
Dude you would love this thing. $115 bucks is not a bad deal. I have link and a discount code in the description
The larger one has two burners on it for better control. That would be the one for me.
I wanted the bigger one but you need a dedicated 30a 110 outlet for it. Normal household outlets do not cut it.
@@griddlecookeatandmore yep I see that now!
Thank you.
Did you get one?
@@griddlecookeatandmore yes, waiting for it to arrive through fed ex.
I am ready to cook up some epic meals!
@SypherSeven you will love it. I might fire mine up tonight when I get home.
How do you form the pattys?
I use a 1/3 cup measuring cup. This gives me about a 2.5 ounce puck I can use for smash burgers
Please share how you clean your griddle because yours is beautiful and all others are black and ugly

What temperature did u used?
I had it set at 400 degrees for the smash burgers in this video.

I ditched the little spatulas it comes with. I do love the griddle.
I noticed it’s a non stick surface. Shouldnt you not be scraping it with a steel scraper if it is? Or is it cast iron? I’m seeing mixed specs
It has an iron griddle plate. It does not have a Teflon or Ceramic coating so it's ok to use metal utensils.
Nice unit Doug, I would think no seasoning needed. The Blackstone is probably easier to move around but this definitely looks mote durable! I’m sure you’ll enjoy this griddle. Cheers brother 🍻
So far I love this griddle. I will do a head to head video with the Blackstone E series. Thanks for watching.

Are you talking about Smash Burger time.
Was thinking about these but nope I'll keep using my Blackstone. I can cook smash burgers really good no problem.
Do you have a gas Blackstone?
yes sir, looking good, man you are like Chef emeril Lagasse, LOL i would eat one of those smash burgers, excellent.
Thanks. If you love smash burgers this is the griddle for you.
lol, it is on its way, can hardly wait to get it, and heck yes the price is right, awesome griddle.
did you end up seasoning it?
Nope. I intentionally bought it not to season. I wanted to use it like a restaurant griddle. This thing makes the best Smash Burgers.
Obviously you were needing a new griddle 🤣. Looks pretty cool. And NOOO I do not need one....
Oh you do need one and a popcorn popper. We need to get your snack bar set up.
Drink every time he says "so".
I'm drunk now
Drink up Bitches 🍺🍺🍺
Drink every time he says "Little."
Why do you say "little" SOOO much? It's painful. Great video.
Good question. I will have to watch the video and see.
you burned the shit out of those burgers. wow.
Not burned. This is called the Maillard reaction the key to a great smash burger.
