Love these. Been awhile. Unpacking and repacking is step one with any new kit. Know your shit is right. You should do the same with more of your kits. The first time you see the contents should not be when you need it.

I found that Celox Rapid Ribbon, Mini NAR ETD Bandage, and Gloves worked really well (with some booboo kit as well). Made the kit nice and tight and the 4" NAR is still good enough to make a tourniquet out of. The Hyfin compact chest seals fit, but are a bit bulky. The plastic from the NAR Bandage can work in place of chest seals for a VERY short time, but it's worth noting if your going full minimalist. It pairs well with my Benchmade Triage hook, so I don't have to carry emt shears.

I carry a pack of compact Hyfin chest seals and a NAR S-rolled gauze in the secondary packaging on one side of the edc kit and a NAR mini responder ETD with Quikclot combat gauze on top of the ETD on the other side. It's major bulky still velcros together and fits into cargo pockets but this has been my setup since I've had my LTC EDC Pocket Trauma Kit.

@@LiveTheCreed both the EDC & GHA kits I have customized. You guys should do something on IG where you reach out to people who have customized your kits. I think It’d be pretty interesting to see what people have in them. I’ll be volunteer #1

ETD , Quick Clot, gloves would be what I would carry in this. Maybe add alcohol swab and normal bandages for small boo boos

I'd like to see a picture or video of the compact chest seals in this pouch. Do the mini compression bandages and CPR shield fit in it?

I have a few of these kits. One of them I removed the SWAT tourniquet and replaced with a mini H&H compression bandage. I did that because I carry a RATs tourniquet. Then I added one compact chest seal and four 12 strips of Frog tape. I kept the QuikClot, gloves, and micro insert boo-boo kit. Since I keep the frog tape in a slightly thick plastic bag, that allows me to make another chest seal. My folded up kit is no thicker than the stock kit.

Looking to get this as a minimalist trauma kit for non permissive environments like concerts, festivals, sporting events, etc.

What if you remove chest seals from their packaging and stuff them in there?

    • @LiveTheCreed

I think you might run the risk of getting everything sticky from the glue on the seals.

cant believe there arent any chest seals or something like that included.

This is a minimalist everyday carry kit, not a full trauma kit, which obviously can't be fit into your jeans pocket.

@@ek8652 Personally I would not be comfortable putting it in my back pocket with those included. Great for a bag or maybe cargo pocket.

@@LiveTheCreed that’s what I was thinking. Putting it in my sling bag or cargo or jacket pocket. And at the very least I could stuff a Swat-T in a back pocket as needed and still be comfortable

I built my own kit very similiar to this one. I added a small roll of duct tape to make chest seals with the leftover plastic. Not as effective as commercial chest seals, but better than nothing and saves space.
