Hey Guys, I’m Alex Etches and I’m a golf professional and product reviewer. If you don’t know me, I started playing golf at 10 years old, turned professional at 22 in the UK, and have been creating entertaining and informative golf content on different platforms for the last 10 years. My home is now AUSTRALIA and I hope to take you around some of the best golf courses from down under.

I usually shoot in the low 80’s and I was playing with a set of Srixon Z785’s for years which I loved. Hit one of these at the local PGA SuperStore just out of curiosity and like 60 swings later I traded the Srixons for these and I’ve never had more fun playing golf. I’m 34 years old, carry my driver about 280, 7 iron is about 180, and all my friends flip me shit for using them but I’m the one laughing when I take their money after a round! Love these clubs so much.
34 years old here as well and I bought the Launch Pad 1's last year. Absolutely love them. My friend thinks he's good and bought "player irons". He can't hit them consistently at all. I've dropped my handicap down from 20 to 11 in 5 months with these! Highly recommend. Easy to hit and chip with.
I love my launch pad 2’s. Saved my iron play. No more miss hits and the ball flies high and straight. Confidence inspiring- I’m not afraid to aim for the green and have stopped using a chipper on everything shorter than 100 metres. Great on the wedges.

Golf is a difficult sport to be good at.
I dont even try to "be good" at golf anymore.
........I just go out on a quiet weekday afternoon and golf for pleasure and relaxation. A few glasses of wine, and I only play about 6 holes.
.....then I go home and enjoy the rest of the evening.
Golf is for enjoyment and relaxation and time used for quiet and thinking.
.....leave all of that stress with the Pros.
We are just average people lol
Although I agree I can't take that advice lol, I'm a competitive person by nature 😂

All the Launch Pad range are great clubs - the Fybrid (fairway hybrid combo) is excellent ! Great to see you reviewing Wilson - they really do make great clubs
My first real set were Adams V3 Hybrid Irons and I absolutely loved them to bits. Got me into the game, extremely forgiving, and looked amazing. These LP's take that philosophy 1 step further, and I love that they will help people get into the game.
launch pad..... recently purchased the cobra T-Rail.... irons,... graphite shafts .... 4-hybrid thru gap....but kinda wish I had went with one length to max out consistency... they look like niche clubs and traditionalist will frown.... but i wish my wife was this forgiving...............

Always a great review Al . You have to get outside and review those clubs.
I have a set and they really are something. It’s not the ball flies much farther, but when the club is not 100% perfect through the turf, it plows through and your ball flight ends up being good.
Putting those straight in the bag! No driver or 3 wood necessary!

Have always made good club , yet have been under rated for years ,these launch pads look great for us old boys .

Launch Pad improvements? A flip top sole to house a airline sized bottle of booze. Seriously I love Wilson clubs and this is probably a club most of us should use if we could set our egos aside for a few minutes.

Nice trenching tool, wildlife attack protector, etc; need to wear a truss, after carrying a bag full of these around or is 2-3 considered a bag full?
I have the previous models for these. Love them and just had a personal best last game.

I've been using Cleveland Launchers for 3 years. If you nut one off the center of the face it's amazing. However, I'm a 22 handicap and that doesn't happen all that often. I like them though.

Launch Pad tried these but unneeded a graphite shaft they only had steel shafts as a senior (75) liked them but the regular shaft was not helping I am still looking for trying them because I did enjoy them. Take them to the course please.
They definitely have them in graphite! Perhaps the location you went to didn't have any demo shafts for whatever reason

edit: after seeing how you did on the virtual course, you need to play 9 with that club and a putter on a real course.

Great review...I like Wilson Clubs but do believe that these are a bit to strong for me....9 iron loft 39, my Wilson FG V6 9 is a 43....Maybe when I'm 95 and need a golf cart to get around these might be the clubs to be able to play a single digit game...and keep ahead of the Pros....Thanks...

"Launch Pad" I dunno maybe I'm the minority but I actually love the look of all these super game improvement clubs. I want them based on looks alone lol
My LP2s are great looking in my view. Have used Pings for a long term and more recently PxGs. I couldn’t care less what some people might think about the looks- performance is everything and these launch pars deliver. Only wish I had tried them earlier. I got onto them through You Tube.
