Recently purchased an Orlimar F series 70 putter similar shape head and shaft as the Wilson, $50.00 on sale, it feels a lot better than my old one and I think I am making better putts. Also have a used set of Wilson DynaPWR Irons on the way, looking forward to lowering my score this year.
got a wilson harmonized m5 putter for like $40 new....the only issue I noticed was that it felt light as well, but that was all fixed with a few strips of lead tape on the bottom, and now it's my favorite putter to use versus my Cleveland Huntington Beach wide blade. The Cleveland is w/o a doubt is a way sexier putter, but the results of the Wilson with added weight will make you see past anything superficial
I'm with you in that. I stopped looking at other putters once I found my Frontline Elevado. I didn't even like that shape of putter until I just happened to pick that thing up one day killing some time in the PGA Superstore. I liked the Lamkin Pistol grip so much I had one one put on my old Yes! too
I bought the HB soft first edition putter a few years back. Absolutely love it. Got the recommendation from Staked Golf when he said these putters are the poor man's Scotty Cameron. That fit me
Note: I've been playing a Wilson South Side for a few years because I like a center shaft putter. My thoughts are this: if you're a new or a lousy putter, why would you spend over $400 on a putter? Or, you've become good at putting with your inexpensive putter: is a Scotty Cameron $300 better?
Hi Alex - really struggling with putting at the moment. What’s your view on investing in a face balanced putter for high handicapped golfers? (3/4 putts per green)
I own two Wilson putters...a Grant Park and a South Side. I love them both and have putted very well with each. I feel that for the money these are some of the best.
I have been using the Wilson spider shape and it’s exactly as you find with this putter very easy to line up and just a little light when hitting long shots
Have one (33") and love the Bean! Wilson fan, although their customer care seems outsourced and all over the place. Would be nice if they got more involved with their customer base, especially long-time users and followers. I still wear the Wilson hat. Again, the Bean is the best. Love the way it sits, lines up, and really enjoy the grip, too. Dropping putts... long and short... Thanks for the review.
Cleveland has nice milled putters, Wilson top end is expensive though. I have a nice Inesis mallet which has a bit of extra weight that suits me. You could also buy a secondhand 8802
Premium vs budget, Padraig Harrington used the infinite Series Southside with superstroke pistol 2.0 grip. Putters are all between your ears, you can either like one or not, and that’s coming from someone who has tried from expensive to very cheap. The putter I always go back to is a Benross CNC milled Casino Sergeant with full toe hang.
I think Wilson is doing a good job I think it has a lot to do with (can’t remember his name) the person who came from my golf spy . Since he has come on there equipment has improved greatly but I still believe that they have a lot to do to hang with the big brands.
Game a Mezz1 and love it. The other day I picked up a Cleveland tfi mezzo putter, centre shafted just because it looks beautiful with the copper face. £60. Can't go wrong as a backup.
Based on your review $25 for a premium grip and $10 for some lead tape and you have the performance of a Scotty for half the price. What you saved could go into a putting lesson with the local pro, a couple training tools like a mirror, or a couple greens fees to use that putter more often
You call that "budget?" I forsook my Odyssey two-ball putter, and several other relatively expensive putters, for "The Classic" putter from Amazon. I paid $22 for it. My putting is all about feel. Many of the guys I golf with have said that it looks like I am using a putter from the mini-golf course. 😆
All these club demos are ok but remember every shot & every putt is played with no pressure. The game is totally different in real time & you have to start using the old grey matter.
At that price grip & headcover are not worth 30 sec. of a review. With 12 min. of review, you should bring in other golfers testing, actual test data, and more analytics vs 10 min stream of consciousness blah blah.
*Thoughts on this budget putter? Would you game it?*
definitely. $99 US for some Wilsons now
I have it. It’s a good putter.
Wilson and Cleveland make underrated putters.

still got my black Cleveland Huntington beach putter £100 top Larkin pistol grip what’s not to like, can’t justify the extra cost to a 400-500 putter
I am looking into getting a Cleveland putter too. I can’t justify the overpriced Scotties and other top putters

Or any old Ping Anser or Zing. Nearly ever putter since 1976 copies Pings from that era to some extent. $700 is pure Hype BS.

I did look at this putter and I do like it but I got a new Odyssey 2 ball putter for the same price.

@@mikeb1149 get an old ping, put a new grip on it and your in good shape
A couple more to look at are the Malby putters, and the adams c groove putter
I'm a big Wilson Staff fan but you really can't beat Cleveland putters for the money.
Alex! Would you consider reviewing Lombardi Golf Putters? Affordable and really nice, Paul the owner is doing some really great things for the game!
Here in Chicago I might go try one out…oh nice MJ hat…

Wilson clubs are so underrated!

Can you review cleveland putters next?
I love my Cobra Vintage Nova 40 at £179.
These putters are £85 new online and £25 used on eBay, if folk are interested, nothing will replace my old TM spider in my bag
I use this putter it’s brilliant

"... this budget putter ..."
"... doesn't feel super premium ..."
I'm sure there's something there about Sherlock and shit. 🤔
If you are a good putter you can put with every putter. It’s all about the green that’s 4/5 inches big, the one between your ears.
Whats a boogit?
TRIBE MDX PUTTER mallet putter cheaper and better, good good putter is only a Kirkland knock off especially their blade one
All these RUclips pros are snobs

For a budget putter its kinda high
