Pretty ironic I just tuned my trans stage 3 a few days ago . I love it! Makes a world of a difference. Downshifts are more rough like they said but it's literally 50-60% quicker in manual mode.
Vehicle Virals, what do you think of the 3-2 downshift stage 3 sport mode? I find the rev matching too aggressive for daily driving so I reduced the rev matching. (slider all the way to the left) Some things about xHP, the torque converter locks more which makes it feel more like a manual transmission on light throttle acceleration. Really feels connected not the old slosh box automatic feel. Also you can set wide open throttle shift point rpm in normal, sport and manual modes. It will still shift automatically (at wide open throttle) in manual mode when you lower the W.O.T. shift point under the rev limiter further protecting you from over revving your engine. You can also raise or lower the automatic shift points. I raised the shift points in normal mode and lowered them a bit in sport mode. I think it shifts too soon in normal mode and too late in sport mode. But that's just me, but that's what is great about xHP you can change the shift points, top rpm shift, rev matching, and speed of shifts to meet your needs.

Vin locked.
Does it also work for all wheel drive ? Or only rear wheel
Does this have any long term affects on the transmission?
Lil Chu it will damage it over time he’s got 70 k not a smart move
@@luxehead how?
335I Tuned excessive wear with a non factory tune to a transmission
Do you think it works on a e46 m3 smg as well?
Nice vid bro
👊🏼
Does the amazon fire tablet you recommend in your description also work for MHD software for tuning the ECU?
Duncan Shingleton Yes that’s what I’m running!
Yes!
Good stuff, can't wait till you're done with the build🔥🔥
Any reason why you keep to choose the current paddle configuration? push = downshift. pull = upshift both sides instead of tradition pull left = downshift. pull right = upshift.
Korruptt bmw paddle shifters on the 335 in the older years are the same on both sides. So push on both sides is up shift and pull on both sides downshifts
@@Leblife12 Yes, I know this. I have an e90 335i 2009 and I have configured it to be the traditional style of pull left paddle is downshift and pull right paddle is upshift. I'm wanting to know if owner in this video prefers it the way it comes out of factory or he just doesnt know about the mod you can do with the paddles.
Korruptt you can also rewire it and it will work too
@@Leblife12 yes..
that is what I mean by reconfiguring.
Honestly I've heard of ways to reconfigure it but never really looked into it. The traditional way will probably feel more natural but sometimes I like it how it is since you only need one hand to shift up and down (works great when I'm filming).
Does it have any set backs that jeopardize it's longevity of the gearbox or clutch ?
Never heard of anyone having issues with the this tune.
Bro great video keep it up
👊🏼
Is it dangerous to flash this over the mhd tune? Are there any complications between the two?
Nope they are built for each other. Via MHD select xHP flash for the trans.
One of these days i’ll flash my transmission too, i’m just wondering, the difference between stage 2 and 3 is so big? Initially i thought to flash stage 2 in order to not be too harsh on the transmission, but now i’m kinna undecided, what would you recommend?
Stage 3 doesn't feel too harsh, and honestly after a week or so you won't even notice. Go all the way!
Vehicle Virals thanks for the reply, yes probably i’ll do that, but i have to think a little bit more before i’ll be convinced, thanks for the advice!
Which gearbox do you have? converter gearbox or dual clutch?
Converter
@@VehicleVirals thank you for the answer
@@VehicleVirals does it work on dual Clutch too?
That stage 3 though it’s on point!
Right?!
Does anyone know if this puts adverse ware on the gearbox and transmission? Going to be getting the MHD mod soon but dont want to do this unless I'm kinda safe!
Is it possible to do it on an e46 model that has a steptronic transmission
Pretty cool. but is this safe for the transmission?
Yes a lot of reviews and info out there about it.
Are there other transmission upgrades that can be don’t to allow the transmission to handle more power, I don’t get how people run like 800hp out of the auto transmission
As long as you're not launching excessively you should be fine
Vehicle Virals what about the DCT, how do people get high horsepower numbers with those?
Hey just a question you might be able to help me my transmission shifts very poorly i changed fluid all the seals solenoids everything and I'm still getting a bad jerk/kick when downshifting feels like I'm getting rear ended if I get this tune do you think it will help?
I'd if I need a transmission update will this xhp tune do the job?
It would be interesting to campare this to Alpina flash. I guds Alpina makes more komfortabel shorts but not as fast
..
Damnnnn. Dct or steptronic? I like the dct sound 😮
Compared to the DCT thats pretty slow still, But a nice improvment if you only have the base model Auto
Gotta wait 50 miles on the tune before it's fully settled in. I'll make a follow up soon
Will it work for the 7 speed dct or does it even need it
Can you do this in a 370z
Does it also work for diesel engines?
is it only for 335i?
Nope. It works on BMWs equipped with the 6speed or 8speed ZF auto transmission.
Great video. I've been running the Alpina TCU flash for a while cuz it was free. It's probably comparable to XHP S1.
💯
