Just to be clear, L is basically 100% certain at this point that Light was Kira, and has regained that 'status'. Light without his memories of the Death Note was MUCH different than the fake persona Light put on before giving up ownership, and now he's gone back to, more or less, how he acted around L prior to being locked up. More importantly, Light has 'proven' he can't be Kira using the fake rules, which means there's no argument L can make against him, and therefore no reason Light can't safely kill L. That's why L was so desperate to test the notebook. If he can prove the 13 day rule is fake, it destroys Light's defense, and at the very least, makes him a suspect again. L needed to make that happen before Light was able to kill him. Also, the people saying "Just kill Light AND L" don't get Rem at all. Rem wants Misa to be HAPPY, not just alive. Light dying, whether by Rem's hand or otherwise, would break Misa. She CAN'T kill Light, because she cares for Misa too much.
I will say one main problem I had with the memories being gone, is that Light seems like a Saint, but that was never the case. And before finding the Death Note, Light always had a biased sense of justice, so really his reactions shouldn't change that much.

Many people say that light won with Sinigami's power, but in reality, he killed Sinigami and L, who are troublesome. And this plan was made before light was taken into custody. What a genius
true Light/Kira fan here, im always proud that whenever someone talks about anime i always say DEATHNOTE and im pro light, but after watching it the second time i realized and wake up to my senses that light is too dark and insane, i feel so sad about L, and i regret believing in Light's decision, in the end this world we live in should work in a NATURAL ORDER. from light to L.
It's a manga adaptation, not an original script, and manga was finished before anime started. But I guess L was most likely also popular among manga readers.
L “lost” because he wasn’t as cold as Near and wasn’t as ruthless as Mello The whole point of the 2nd part is to show that to take down a inhuman monster like Kira you needed to be equally as inhuman. Light could predict L’s actions because L was still human deep down. He has such a hard time with Mello cause dealing with him was like dealing with a feral animal and he had such a hard time with Near cause it was like trying to predict what a robot would do. Plus they weren’t working together so ,even if he got the upper hand on one, it wouldn’t even help him deal with the other. Your fav character wasn’t replaced, he was just deconstructed.
L is rich enough to build a five-star building right in Tokyo, and he can always act like a subordinate to the police around the world. Light is just a human being, and supernatural power can't be used without the real thing called a notebook. And one of those shinigamis, Rem, tried to kill light. Misa is the main culprit behind the light's capture. And the author also stopped light from using the shinigami's eyes for balance. Since high school, light has been hiding from the world's best detective and the world's police, planning to kill the world's best detective and his interference, Sinigami, at the same time, and he succeeded
The dude in blue is super annoying constantly going on with "what's happening I don't understand" literally as theyre explaining everything clear as day moments before....
L knew immediately that Light was Kira again, and when they were out in the rain talking about lying, the true Light, the one before the Death Note when asked, "Has there ever been a point where you've told the truth." Would have said something like, "What are you talking about? What am I lying about?" But instead Light gives an explanation about how everyone lies, it's human nature, and L's response of, "Of course that's your answer." He knew he was going to die soon, that he was in the end of his life, so that's why he pulled that final last move of testing the notebook. And the foreshadowing scene of L drying Light's feet as Jesus washing Judas's feet, knowing he was going to betray him.
Death Note really should have ended soon after this. I get some people would be upset with Light winning, but Light winning would have been such a good way to end the series. It would have been so unexpected and fresh to have the "villain" in this kind of story win. The last bunch of episodes were honestly annoying and I hate how it came down to "But wait, there's actually someone smarter than L who will solve this case!"
Light had to lose somehow, remember Ryuk saying that tragedy and misfortune always befalls anyone who uses the death note, and he used it so much more than any other holder ever has.
What? No, actually, the entire point of Near and Mello is that only by working together were they able to surpass L. They're essentially two halves of a whole. On top of that, L left Near and Mello with some clues to go off of. They were less individual actors and moreso L's contingency plan. Long and short, "L" did beat Light, and he did so by making use of other people.
I agree, and the masterstroke is that Light actually lost the moment he wrote that first name down in episode one. The notebook makes it clear that using it will condemn you. Fate had him at checkmate from the start. As a matter of fact, had L completed his test, he too would had lost his soul. In a way Light saved L when he took his life, and the irony is that he lost his in doing so. L won.
The existence of the notebook and its rule cost Ls his life. Near only beat Light because he learned of the notebooks rules during the 2nd season. I bet if L had the same amount of time learning about the notebook, he could had beaten Light.
If L and Light could just agree on each other this wouldn't have happened. I mean this is just sad I am on light side but I feel bad for L at the same time
Sometimes I wish I could have seen the anime first and have had a different reaction to this scene, but I still found it more moving when it happened in the manga.
I actually think L is in peace, since he knew at the end that everything he deducted was true and Light could only win by taking advantage of information that L had no way of knowing until the end.
Tbh, i think N and M will never be able to compares to L, as a mid-side watcher, seeing L vs Raito was so interesting, but after L's death, i think Raito's plan getting worst and worst, also N and M not so good as L, dunno if its because Raito have to play the roll as Kira and Raito, as the bad side and good side at the same time was too much for him that make him so stressed that leads him lost or its just N and M actually good, but my opinion, L was waaay better than N and M, and Raito was the MVP in this anime, hands down.
I don't know i am always laughing if repeat this scene haha 🤣. The reaction from the 5 guys at the bottom slide make me more crazy laughing haha when L death 🤣
Long Game Strategist in this case defeats the In Game Strategist unlike within Yugioh. Within Yugioh the Long Game Strategist Seto Kaiba stay losing to the In Game Strategist Yugioh. Yugioh always defeat Kaiba because he adapts within enough time to overcome Kaiba long thought out Strategy.. Within Deathnote L.just didn't have enough time to implement his In Game Strategy to defeat Light/Kira Long Game Strategy he was already caught within. Light & L is both Great In Game Strategist and Long Game Strategist, but L is more greater at coming up with In Game Strategies and Light/Kira is greater at thinking out Long Game Strategies. Yugioh, L, Melo and LittleFinger is In Game Strategists who adapt to their situations/environment and actually in the moment manipulate the pieces on the board around them to make everyone do what they want and Seto Kaiba, Light/Kira, Melo and Varys is Long Game Strategists who actually setup or create the situations/environment to predict and move the pieces on the board the way they want

And the character of L is developped much better than near so… that’s why we are even more sad.
In the theatrical version, there is a second ending. L writes down the date of his death in the notebook in advance, and then the second person writes him in the notebook and it will not take effect. L uses this trick to fake death, secretly investigate and find the true culprit. Who.
How did he find out his date of death?
@@yep3742 He doesn't, he just made one up. Maybe he took in account of his health condition, food intakes, how much sleep he regularly gets, etc. I like to think he calculated how long he can live and wrote a date within those years he has left.
@@cringeaholic4082 Naah. You can postpone someones death at most 13 days in death note. L knows this rule. And he wrote his name to die after 13 days. So that he would have 13 days to live and find the culprit.
@@imreallyalone your wrong, thats not what he’s trying to say
You see if somebody’s name is spelled incorrectly too many times in a death-note, 3 or more people write somebody’s name in a death not at approximately the same time the victim will becomes immune to death note related killing. But if 2 people write a name in the death-note then if the 1st one had a condition like time, which has no requirement other than having to be before they would die naturally, then the conditions of the first time his name was written would apply
Wait so L lived in the movie?
Sad for L death 😔
One of the best character in anime
The bells made me cry 😭😭😭😭 even tho light is the mc....the death of L was too much for me
I am still crying for L in my mind.
I just can't forget this Legendary episode ❤️❤️😭😭😭
I also heard a rumor that someone forced the author to create the 2nd part because they don't want the villain to win
The anime will be very dark if they let Raito win eventhough Raito could be seem unbeatable, the ending not really satisfy me, but again, this was a TV series, let the bad wins will cause major effect to watchers off all ages
I think it's irresponsible to let unfounded rumors trump what the author actually created.
The tension in this chapter was another level
My guy up top think L really alive like bruh, nope
L stands for Legend. He solved 95% of the case and was only 1 step behind from completing and determining that light was Kira. If only he would know that Shinigami's eyes could see peoples' name. He would have been alive just like Near!!
Actually he solved 100% of the cases. Only failed the Kira case
@@DastardlyDingleberry You're not very good with math, are you?
@@mvmsma no It's not the math I misworded it. I wanted to say that with the exception of the Kira case he solved 100% of them. I've googled and it said that L solved 3500+ cases so if he solved 95% of them it would mean he failed a total of over 184 cases. That's the point I wanted to make
@@DastardlyDingleberry Yeah, but it you fail one, it's not 100% anymore. Besides, the main comment wasn't even talking about that. What he meant is that L solved 95% of the Kira's case, not 95% of all cases.
@@mvmsma oh my bad. Didn't see that one. Glad we could come to an understanding tho. G'day
L Lost Cause he including personal in this Case (Kira never Including personal Feeling) while Kira lose cause he's not re-checking his partner (L would probably re-check it)
The Author really make this both masterpiece without making other side dirty.
I agree 100%. Near didnt include his sentimental feelings. Thats one of things thats made him Wins
L lost because he was playing a game without knowing the rules
@@nullpointer1755 he lost cause light was his opponent
@@Axel-ye8tt Nope Light always had a huge advantage by having supernatural abilities
he lost cuz light have shinigami to help his ass thank god mello and near are coming to beat his ass
I told my friend there was no class in 2nd period and he actually believed me.💀 The whole time i was hiding my face and smirking like Kira my other friend said
17:22 The group on the bottom right, the guy on the left is the only one behaving as a normal person, the others are just acting like grown-up kids lmao
Lo normal en las reacciones gringas.
For me Death Note ends here
Pd: Thank you for your hard work
Who asked?
Ur pathetic
This is where Death Note peaked and ended for me
I love people going "But how can we be sure he is really dead?". Like him dying of a heart attack right in front of you isn't enough?
they just can't believe it. Its totally normal.
U realized he faked his death in the live action right
Many people say that light won with Sinigami's power, but in reality, he killed Sinigami and L, who are troublesome. And this plan was made before light was taken into custody. What a genius
True end of death note
Bcs light would never loose against Near
U wrong, Light Lost to mello matt and near not only near
Real end of Death Note, Light won and created a new pacific world, rest is bullshit
true Light/Kira fan here, im always proud that whenever someone talks about anime i always say DEATHNOTE and im pro light, but after watching it the second time i realized and wake up to my senses that light is too dark and insane, i feel so sad about L, and i regret believing in Light's decision, in the end this world we live in should work in a NATURAL ORDER.
from light to L.
That's called "growing up". Be glad that you've grown up cause many people don't.
Team Light forever. I was so happy when L died y’all don’t understand… I was holding my breath the entire episode
Episode 37
It might be good to see a doctor.
When they did the flashback I knew L was dying
It was ballsy for the writers to kill off L. I would imagine he was really popular as a character back when death note was running.
It's a manga adaptation, not an original script, and manga was finished before anime started. But I guess L was most likely also popular among manga readers.
L “lost” because he wasn’t as cold as Near and wasn’t as ruthless as Mello
The whole point of the 2nd part is to show that to take down a inhuman monster like Kira you needed to be equally as inhuman.
Don’t ever disrespect L like that again. Near and Mello literally had to work together to even surpass L. They’ll never be L.
@@WillPutYouInYourPlace12386 that’s the entire point of my comment…🤦🏽♂️
@@WillPutYouInYourPlace12386 chill its just a cartoon
L is rich enough to build a five-star building right in Tokyo, and he can always act like a subordinate to the police around the world. Light is just a human being, and supernatural power can't be used without the real thing called a notebook. And one of those shinigamis, Rem, tried to kill light. Misa is the main culprit behind the light's capture. And the author also stopped light from using the shinigami's eyes for balance.
Since high school, light has been hiding from the world's best detective and the world's police, planning to kill the world's best detective and his interference, Sinigami, at the same time, and he succeeded
White headphones is a good example of someone who has a reaction channel just to make money, versus someone who actually cares about the material
The dude in blue is super annoying constantly going on with "what's happening I don't understand" literally as theyre explaining everything clear as day moments before....
He's an airhead. Really annoying in almost every single episode.
The Best Episode, Kira wins☠️🔥
1:29 i like how he mentioned alfred from batman
What's your real name, tell the spelling too so that I can write it down correctly I my note
When L started talking about the bells I knew it was up for him😢😢
Death Note really should have ended soon after this.
@@Patrick-bn5rpright, L pave the way for his successor by unrevealing so much precious info, like the books rule.
L won.
I waited so long for this episode. Thank you!!!
The existence of the notebook and its rule cost Ls his life. Near only beat Light because he learned of the notebooks rules during the 2nd season. I bet if L had the same amount of time learning about the notebook, he could had beaten Light.
And so begins when Light starts to slip up
If L and Light could just agree on each other this wouldn't have happened. I mean this is just sad I am on light side but I feel bad for L at the same time
The end is here. I don't like the death note ending because Light lost against Near
Get this man, Light a goddamn Oscar for best actor 👏
The way Light checkmates Rem and L at the same time, chef's kiss
And thats how ladies and gentlemen, L died.

17:25 I feel like L said "I was right" in his mind
He did in the manga
I can't wait to see mello and near ;;;
There is no justice in the light
Of Course Light Is a Well and Better Written Character But L....L is Something Else... He's What We Called Fan's Favourite
From here on, the true battle begin. Can't wait someone put Kira on checkmate. The end is Near. 👍
i see what you did there
The true battle ends and the next episodes is to nerf Light
Lol near is just a pure plot armored character.
9:32 gets me but 16:03 gets me more
T your the best anime reaction mashup channel 🔥🔥❤️❤️
*L knew that Raito was Kira, but before L had time to catch Raito, L had his real name recorded in the Death Note by Rem, L died unfortunately...*
Sometimes I wish I could have seen the anime first and have had a different reaction to this scene, but I still found it more moving when it happened in the manga.
17:08 I know L is still salty in the afterlife light really did use a god to beat L

Awesome vid as always👍🏾🔥
The manga author himself claims that L is the smartest character in Death Note.

I never liked Light, but this episode made me hate him. I was extremely happy when he died in the end :D
Before L's death he said that light is his first friend after Kira kill him 😢😢
As long as the human owner of death note doesn't return back the owner to the shinigami or die they have to stick together that's all
