The second opening really grew on me over the years and while by far the first opening is more iconic i think the second opening is the better of the two now.
The first time I saw Op 2 on a "Most Often Misheard Lyrics" list, I laughed so hard that it hurt. I didn't mishear, he was screaming for half the song. He might have been screaming words at some points, but a side effect of screaming is that you focus less on what's being screamed and more on the fact that someone is screaming. I can't tell you what he said, but I'm pretty sure he meant it.
At 2:04 the lyrics are "hey hey ningen sucker, hey ningen ningen f*cker" ningen means human in japanese. literally Light Yagami saying after defeating L mocking any to defeat me with his god complex.
The second opening is ruined by idk what it was but remember a english parody of it with it sounding english and its all i think about when i hear it lol.
Opening 2 was what introduced me to Maximum The Hormone and as a growing metalhead I was an instant fan ever since.
