Brian--wow, did not even know this is a possibility, but does that ever look nice. Timely, as I have a 2006 Sequoia with 230K miles on it that will need to be replaced at some point, and RAV4 Hybrid is the most likely choice. Any idea on how much she paid for Katzkin leather? I realize that will vary depending on location but at least it gives us an idea. Thanks for making us aware of this!
@@brianruperti Thanks for checking into it, Brian! That was about what I thought it would be -- probably worth it if you keep your cars a really long time, and it probably would help on resale when the time comes.
@@Jmaninaz1 yes. Perforation is popular for body temp regulation, and it has sound proofing properties which helps with road noise. For the true durable & cleanable leather, smooth can’t be beat.
Definitely. Any sort of tan leather classes up an interior in my opinion. I have an older lexus is350 that has fake black leather...tan would look SO much better. Oh, and from what I've noticed, tan leather ages better than black.
Couple questions, 1) I believe there is a seat cushion airbag will this interfere with any airbags? 2) On the website it says they'll remove cloth, but what if you have the fake plastic softex leather? 3) Can this work with heated/and or ventilated seats can you get this real leather working with those features? (Well I think for cloth only heated is an option) I've really been thinking about getting an XLE premium or Limited Rav4 but hate there is no real leather option.
If it cost that much to add leather you will never get your back out of it on trade in. You would be better off to buy a model that already had leather in it from factory. Could probably buy a XLE with leather for about the same price.
@@ToyotaTacoma-js6on good point but XLE never comes with leather. XLE Prem has softex which some people prefer the soft natural feel of real leather. Most things never get your money back but if you enjoy the product, why not use it!

Depending on how you get it you’re looking at $2-4k

Seats are definitely expensive but definitely worth the investment if you put some time into it
Unfortunately most of Hybrids built here in Ontario are shipped across the border.

These are great questions to ask their professionals with a quick call.
About how much does it cost to add leather to a vehicle like this?
$3-4k depending on how/where you get it.

I swapped several cars to leather.
Can I get rid of my leatherette covers and replace with real leather?
Yes
Hey Brian,is that Tuscany Leather or regular leather from Katzkin?
Hello, it’s the regular
@brianruperti thank you! Would you recommend Tuscany or are they more or less the same? I think there is about a 25% price diff.
