    I compared both today and it was a hard decision 😅 Ended up with the Outlander because it was less cost eventually and the dealership (High Point Mitsubishi in NC) upgraded the warranty to 20 years and 200,000 miles. Couldn’t say no to that ❤

    Here in Australia, PHEV got fringe benefit tax (FBT) exemption up to April 2025. So, getting a PHEV using Novated Lease WILL cost a lot less than buying a hybrid (they are considered conventional vehicle), even compared with a full EV vehicles. Using the Novated Lease calculator, the cost is almost half for hybrid/conventional vehicles, but just about 5% less against a full EV vehicle.
    If hybrid cars got a plug-in, it can be considered as a PHEV. Too bad, RAV4 (and most if not all hybrid cars) in Australia does not have that option.
    For me, the best option at the moment is getting the Mitsubishi Outlander with Novated Lease.

    I have looked at both, both are great looking cars but I loved the XSE Rav 4 exterior/ interior a lot better plus Toyota offers you a Capped service for 5 years. Mitsubishi 10 years warranty is good but the services are very Expensive plus to have 10 years warranty you have to get them to service it. • @jjpark1989
      @jjpark1989 Месяц назад +3

      @@verynick well, there were a few things that bothered me that I can’t get over. First of all, my outlander is getting repaired right now for rodent damage to the electric motor wires, which is taking over 5 weeks to repair so far. Very frustrating. And when everything works correctly, the hybrid engine is still lacking in many areas for me. The power delivery could be better. Sometimes there is too much lag in throttle response. On another note, it’s advertised as getting 38 miles on a single charge, but I average right around 32 miles with an average speed of 50 mph. I also hate that when you’re in hybrid mode, the battery drains almost instantly and then you’re left with a 23 mpg combustion engine which sucks. Might as well just keep it in electric mode and use the battery that way. Hybrid mode is just useless putting it simply. Quality of work leaves a lot to be desired too. Looks nice in pictures, but after living with it, can’t help but start to feel the cheapness of it. Infotainment system is also faulty, especially when trying to connect to Apple CarPlay. Not to rant about it too much, but you have to ask your is it economically worth it for your specific needs. If you just need a larger vehicle that you drive less than 30 miles a day, then it’s something to look into. It’s definitely not the ideal hybrid for road trips, or even 100 mile trip. For 23 mpg, I’d rather just get a pickup truck. But to each their own. I thought I wanted a hybrid, but this one is just not for me. Hope this helps. Good luck to you though.

    I bought my first RAV4 last year. I have had absolutely no issues with it. My sister had a Mitsubishi, but it wasn't this particular model. The initial quality wasn't bad, but it was all downhill from there. Mitsubishi has never been a reliable vehicle for anyone! Mitsubishi almost always ranks near the bottom of the reliability list, where Toyota always ranks at number 1. My wife and I took a tour of the plant in Georgetown Kentucky. I was thoroughly impressed at the way everything was out together, quality checked throughout the process. They have their own book of the quality manufacturing process, and it has to be followed to the T. If their is a problem, the line is immediately stopped and the process or parts are then replaced or fixed, then the line can start again. We were there for about 2 hours, and the line never stopped once. I will always be a Toyota customer for that reason!

    I truly despise the RAV4. The interior looks AND feels sooooo chintzy, pretty much like every other Toyota I sat in. The doors sound tinny when you shut them. I honestly would hate to be seen in one, ngl 😂

      @@majorstack7214 - It's a garbage vehicle, there's no arguing that. It has one of the most cramped interiors in its class. Very little features for the money. A harsh, noisy ride. Seats that are very uncomfortable and interior panels that are very cheap to the touch and creak often. Engines start consuming or burning oil bad right before 100K miles. I once fell for the false indoctrination that they were good vehicles. They're crap vehicles

    Neither because Mitsubishi their colors are just not it. Toyota RAV4. It's reliable but it's too expensive. It's like too pricey, especially if you get a fully loaded limited. You have to option everything on to the limited instead of it coming standard. So for me neither

      The Forester is a FAR better vehicle than either of them. The AWD is superior, as is the visibility, safety features and quality of build. AND it's 10k less than the over priced Rav4. Rav4 can't even compete off road.

      @@gergnotsloh Not really, the Forester isn't, the Outlander has a way way better interior, the Outlander handles better, has a better AWD System for on-roads with Mitsubishi's S-AWC system with brake vectoring AYC, the Outlander is quieter with dual pane acoustic glass, the Outlander was named the safest SUV for 2023 by U.S news, both the RAV4 and Outlander offer Hybrid versions, the Outlander is made in Japan, the RAV4 is quicker than any Forester and has better fuel efficiency, the only thing that the Forester is better at is probably for off-road lol, it doesn't even have a fully digital instrument cluster, amd it's quite disappointing, a new 2024 car that looks more like a facelift compared to am actually ALL NEW model, I don't hate Subaru, it's just their new models are really really underwhelming.

    This review to me just sounded like: “let’s try everything we can to give the better score to the overall inferior RAV4”.
    Every Toyota I’ve ever been in (and there have been several of all makes and models) have felt cheap, tacky and basic. Can’t say the same about every Mitsubishi I’ve been in though.
