  • We're taking you on the ferry and train to get from Penang (Georgetown) to Kuala Lumpur! To get here you must first take the free ferry to bring you back to Butterworth on the mainland and from there on you'll connect to the train. We enjoyed trying out the train in Malaysia a lot!
We booked seats on the KTM Platinum train and the ride takes about 4 hours. The train has facilities such as an onboard catering cart, toilets and a prayer room. The seats are comfortable and you'll enjoy the views of the beautiful Malaysian landscape right from your window.

The tiny ferry is just temporary. Huge ferries are being built.

In the next 5 years you don't need to take ferry service to go to George Town.
Penang Sentral Station (KTM Station) will be connected to George Town, Penang Island by the LRT Over The Sea Line, Insha Allah.

The hand bidet actually makes the whole toilet very dirty 🤢. Not sure why the locals don’t do high tech like Japan.

The floor is wet due to the hand bidet or bum gun

Yes we noticed this many times! What do you do when you come across a wet toilet?

@@yesandexplore just wipe the seat and use it. Or in a mall find the most dried up ones if possible. Muslims here do not use tissue. Others use a combination of tissue and bum gun. Actually it is the way how people use it. Some folks used it wrong by flushing front to back. It is better from back to front and that keeps the floor and seat dry
