    So it seems like since there are no specific lifts that directly correlate to speed and since it’s best to be “general” in the weight room, it’d be best to just pick the safest lifting exercises. For example machine based lifting such as leg press over squat etc.?

      Not necessarily. You want to build strength the best ways possible. Lots of variety.

    Hey coach quick question my football team does your workouts and stuff and i was getting faster and faster starting to jump higher and farther until i started running track all the track coach does is make us run like 8 200s for example 5 300s and stuff like that im a wide receiver so i need my speed and i can see the drastic drop in my numbers what do you think it is my schedule with track was workout in morning during football we do feed the cats then track after school before track it was i would do like plyometrics before school feed the cats and liff for football and go home what should i get rid of should i stop working out in morning and stop going to track?
    Before track I was running a 1.02 flying 10 today I just ran a 1.09 I almost cried meanwhile everyone was getting prs with .98s and below

    What is the max number of 40 yard dashes you would recommend? What if I had 30 minutes? Would you double the workout or still keep it at the low dose?

    Do you think doing more sprinting after doing the atomic speed workout is too much ? If not how much is too much

      We do 3-4 at most. All less than 5 sec. Timed.

    how do you prepare your athletes the day before a meet? Atomic workout, or X factor things in lower doses?

      Yes.
      Handoffs and blocks good too.
      Or a day OFF.

    whats a workout i can do to get faster at home no sprinting like in the house

      Plyos, jumping high/far, pull ups, push ups.
