Nothing cheesy at all about what you said. Actually, making a positive impact on the kids should be every coach’s priority.. Teaching someone how to win is easy. Teaching someone how to overcome failure is character building!

I get it. 2 springy sprinty days 1 lactic acid day or a meet / game. How do I incorporate this into a three day a week soccer practice program?

Just wondering, would you encourage walking between stations, water breaks etc. during practice instead of jogging? If jogging reinforces slow and poor mechanics, then “hustling” during practice would be detraining and should be eliminated. What do you think?

Hey coach Tony I'm all in on your program, less reps at max. So what do you tell your athletes how not to put on weight if they are working out less?

How much can a15 year old sophomore male realistically cut off his 40 time in 8 months? He goes to a S & C twice a week and will working acceleration day & a max velocity day every week after football season is over. So 2 days of strength & plyo work on Monday Thursday & speed Tuesday Friday. We’ll be using a warm up with 10 drills from one of your videos & 5 max effort sprints with 5 min rest between each and hills, continuous broad jumps, heavy sled pushes for acceleration. He 5-10 150 dead lifts & back squats 300 and was hand timed at 4.9 in August.

@@CH-qw6yy needs to focus on max velocity 2-3 times a week. Everything else is supplemental. Rest Recovery Sleep is essential. Might go from 4.9 to 4.6 with great coaching.

I have an 8 year old son and he weight 60lbs. What’s the best way to help him improve his speed. His acceleration is good he ran a 1.9 in 10 yards. But he is struggling with increasing his top speed. He runs a 6.7 40 time.
